This hotel is the most beautiful and welcoming hotel I have ever been to. We stayed in room T888 which is a triple room just off from the main building - it was exquisite! The room was immaculately clean, an incredible size with a beautiful bathroom and balcony overlooking the pool area. The pool is clean, ample size and the view it looks out to is gorgeous. You are surrounded by mountains where you can watch people rock climb but it feels like your own private oasis. Breakfast was wonderful - all the food and drink you can imagine, beautifully presented. The shuttle service is great but it is not far to walk to either beach. However, the most incredible part of this hotel is the staff. They are kind, helpful and so so wonderful! They will do anything for you and are always there to greet with a smile. I have never met such pleasant and friendly staff at any other hotel I have been to. Special shout out to John, Nan and Augn! They really looked after us over the two nights we were here. We attended the New Years Eve celebration and it was one of the best New Years we’ve had. It was so much fun with Thai dancing, fire shows and lots of food. Thank you so much to everyone at Phutawan for a lovely two night stay. We will definitely be back. Karen, Gary and Bethany.

There were works going on as they are building pool side bar and it was pretty noisy during the day. Mosquitoes around pool side - which can happen in this kind of setup and weather. Would highly recommend packing insect repellent Access to Ao Nang / main Krabi town after 5pm is a bit of an issue and the charge goes up to 500 baht per person, steep jump from day charge of 100 baht.

Absolutely stunning view from our ocean view room. This property is gorgeous. View from breakfast was incredible and the breakfast buffet was wonderful - including the Thai food. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool, even on cloudy/slightly rainy days. Our room came with two pool/beach towels and a waterproof beach bag which was very convenient. Thai teas and coffees that we ordered at the breakfast bar (paid items) were a great touch. Coconuts we ordered pool side were tasty as well! I would not stay in any other hotel in Railay Beach. In addition, I highly recommend the luxury long tail boat tour organized by the hotel (Sea Eagle Tour Company) - we had a great time seeing Hong Island among other islands during this tour.

The bathroom (ocean view room) needs upgrading - especially plumbing (toilet and shower). Hotel could offer nicer shampoos/conditioners/body wash as well. We went a few days using the same soap bar. When I messaged the hotel on whatsapp (there are no hotel phones-which I am fine with!) they replaced the soap bar right away. There was construction going on at the poolside bar which was disappointing (since we couldn't utilize the bar during our stay). It was unfortunate that the bar upgrading wasn't done during low season (we stayed during high season).

Phutawan Resort is amazing. The location has the best view of Railay East bay. The resort is a short walk from the main walking road, however there is also a shuttle tuk tuk if you don't want to walk. The pool has an amazing view and lounge chairs. The breakfast is very tasty and has a lot of different options for food. The room was spacious with a balcony.

The place is a little bit dated, especially the bathroom which had a door that didn't close properly.

One of the most incredible places to stay! The infinity pool with the view overlooking the sea was second to none. It was wonderful to be able to see the rock climbers! Lots of monkeys and birds. The sea view room was excellent. Provision of beach towels and bag. Air con was great. The choice at the breakfast buffet was extensive and delicious!

Not a negative but an observation, there are lots of mosquitoes around the pool but what we expected staying in the jungle area of the island. There was provision of repellent at the pool though to mitigate. The drainage in the shower was slow so had to mindful of this, was not a major issue as the rest of the room and stay was incredible!

Great location, lovely view from the top floor rooms. Swimming pool nice and kids enjoyed but very in need of some tlc with loose tiles etc. bar drinks not amazing, restaurant food ok but a bit pricey. Reception staff pleasant but not hugely “on it” in terms of help arriving and checking out. But worth it all for the view and location

Room staff and porter staff amazing. Reception and bar/restaurant less so - just lacking a bit of understanding customer expectations for eg when arriving with a family offering directions and not amazing English unfortunately. Worth it for location though

This hotel is truly a resort! Our room was very clean and quite comfortable, and the balcony overlooked a tree shaded area, which we used every morning and evening. The views from the pool are stunning! Soaking in the pool is necessary to cool off in every afternoon and you have the opportunity to chat with other guests. Breakfast was delicious with many offerings. Great views from the dining room also. Some people have complained about the walk up to the hotel, but it isn’t very far at all, and only a little steep for the last short part. You don’t get views like this without a little altitude!

It is an amazing hotel, with a very nice view of Railay bay. It has a cozy feeling and the room was very tidy and carely prepared for our stay. Staff was very helpful and assisted us with organizing a transport to Krabi airport.

There was a huge delay when ordering omelet or scrambled eggs in the breakfast - one of days it was even forgotten. When doing the check-in we got a 10% discount coupon, to be used to order foods and drinks. However we were not told this is only valid in the pool area (and this is also not written in the coupon itself) - after ordering food in the hotel restaurant we could not use it :(

The noise of the wildlife waking up in the morning was everything! Staff were wonderful and the room was perfect, comfortable beds we slept very well! The view from the pool which is nestled in the jungle mountains looking out on the sea was a highlight!

The music at the pool was a bit intense especially considering how wonderful the noises of the wildlife are! Food is just ok it didn’t take away from our experience though!

We fellt in love with the hotel and the staff team. The room was perfect..the view is amazing..you feel like in the jungle. everything was clean and beyond expectations. I would like to praise the reception people and the help with the luggage. They are so helpful... especially we fellt in love in the guy with the name jon.. every time he wanted to help us .Without a doubt, we will go back there again and recommend this hotel. thank you so much 🙏
