the food at the Thai restaurant on Sunday evening together with the service that evening - probably the chef and half of the staff were missing, the massage offered free of charge by a person without experience and without proper hygiene, the lack of local fruit at breakfast - they didn't have papaya , mango, jack fruit

staff were fantastic, room beautiful and clean, complimentary activities each day - we got complimentary tea before check out. had twilight dinner in the grotto which was beautiful.

the hotel made it out like it had its own private area of the beach and the grotto was entirely private but when you sit on a lounger people lie on the beach looking at you from a few metres away and the grotto as we were out for twilight dinner there were people sunbathing on towels in front of us. this did not disturb our stay and we still had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend but I was just surprised about this at the time.

We really loved everything about Rayavadee. I dont think we've ever met nicer people than the people in Thailand, especially at the hotel. The fact that the hotel is located in the jungle makes it such a unique experience. The smell of the jungle forest and seeing wild monkeys play in the trees was just too good. We also saw monkeys from our bedroom! In the morning you have all the beaches to yourself before the tourists come in per boat. Also, the food was really good. They have different restaurants and we tried them all. Please try the chocolate dessert.. we ordered it from our room, im not sure what its called anymore but it was the best dessert ever.

great location, but unfortunately mass tourism and the noisy long boats mean that this is not an exclusive resort. So whilst it is expensive resort, do not expect t an exclusive experience, as you are essentially sharing your experience with all the day trippers and backpackers,

Fantastic, sprawling resort surrounded by beaches in a stunning location. The resort itself is lush and full of wildlife (monkeys, monitor lizards etc.) which makes it feel much more authentic and peaceful than the rest of Railay Bay, which is busy and over-developed. Phranang Beach in particular is beautiful, quiet in the morning and evening (when day-trippers have left) and bereft of the long-tail boats that blight Railay and Namtao beaches. Two of the resort restaurants face onto Phranang so offer stunning views while you eat.

Considering this is an expensive resort and Railay Bay is accessible only via sea, it is inexcusable that they could not offer an inclusive transfer either for arrival or departure. While they did offer transfer options, these were very overpriced compared to local alternatives. Resort restaurants were decent but also disproportionately overpriced to their quality. Likewise, the spa was good but did not offer value for money compared to cheaper local options. Railay Bay is a popular day-trip destination so be prepared for hordes of tourists during the day. The resort is sprawling and easy to get lost in, although they do offer a complimentary buggy service.

This was our third time staying at this wonderful resort, and once again, we were smitten. We cant' fault anything about Rayavadee. It is the perfect place for complete relaxation. Just take the time to stop, take it all in, and enjoy the incredibly beautiful surroundings nestled among the magnificent limestone cliffs. Everything at Rayavadee is quality. From the beautiful welcome drinks, to the delights left by your bed each night at turn down. The staff are wonderful across the board, from the moment they greet you on arrival, to waving you goodbye as you leave, and go out of their way to make your experience magical. The food is exceptional with something for everyone - worth going for the amazing breakfast alone! There are 4 restaurants to choose from, each worth a visit. The resort is perfectly placed just a couple of minutes walk from the Walking Street on Railay Beach, giving you the option to buy local wares, cheap massages, and street food. And don't forget to grab a cocktail from Railay Bay Cafe just in time for the sunset. A great improvement since our last visit is that Phranang Beach no longer lets longtail boats in so the beach is quiet, and much more protected. And the pool....just sit and take in the view from one of the most beautiful pools in the world. It really is quite exquisite. We adore this resort, and will absolutely go back as soon as we can.

Rayavadee!!!!! has to be one of the most magical places on earth. It’s like the happiest people in Thailand want to work there, and do. Service is exceptional and staff have a rare grace that is felt from the moment you step off the boat. Wonderful New Year’s party, fabulous breakfast buffet, and many great restaurants. It’s all so delicious. The property is one of a kind, naturally exquisite, well respected and preserved. Just gorgeous. Thoughts of returning at the end of this year helped us say goodbye.

Mosquitoes… but that is to be expected and the hotel managed and mitigated their disturbance very well.

Very nice hotel - up there with Four Seasons and others.

Faultless....except: We booked Thailand because we knew they had relaxed all the covid rules (Jan 2023), we have stayed in other hotels during our 2 weeks, however in this most of the staff still wore masks. Two of our (elderly) family are hard of hearing so this was disappointing that the hotel's policy still ordered most (food and bev) staff to wear masks. It meant we could not hear them very well, couldnt see their smiles, and acted as a very visual reminder of the total madness of the past 2 years. Lets hope the group that owns this hotel reviews this sooner vs later.

What not to like, can't fault this resort, Amazing staff, can't help you enough. Amazing facilities, lots of activities daily or you can book some also. Amazing accommodation. Houses are unreal, I could live in one and be happy, god send when it rains having a living room to chillax, don't get me started on the beds, pillows are like marshmallows. Breakfast is superb, best I've ever had and huge choice, all quality food and drinks. Food is exceptional in all resort restaurants, sunset at the beach restaurant is perfect. Beautiful beaches, on all sides and close to other islands if you want to explore. Monkeys, big lizards, snorkeling, I loved this place. (Maya bay only 45mins away) Plenty places to eat outside the resort along the beach if you want to explore. It may be 2/3x the price of the other hotels, but when you stay here you will soon forget that and realise why.

Absolutely nothing, booked this resort and rebooked instantly for a longer stay. I'll be back here without question.
