The location perfect in old town close to restaurants and museums etc. Host was fabulous, extremely helpful friendly and kind always cheerful and wanted us to have a great experience of Salzburg. Greeted with warm cloths and a glass of fizz. Room good furnishings, fridge safe, tea, coffee, water and some juice in fridge free to use. Huge shower, big fluffy towels and face cloths, toiletries good quality , shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Little touches -sewing kit, shoe cleaner etc. they do laundry also if needed for a charge . Large Tv , small table and two chairs, hairdryer, corkscrew provided. Lift Nice historic building. Ambience good felt safe. Would go back! Right in heart of old town. WiFi good.

The let down was that on this occasion our hotel was just a very up market room the restaurant/ bar was closed for staff holidays. We had to go to hotel stein for breakfast - which was a lovely hotel fabulous views from restaurant but not what we anticipated for our stay and 5 mins walk away across the river. Had we been told in advance ( before we had paid) we might have changed our plans as we had nowhere in the evening to sit and relax apart from our bedroom. Tv only had two English speaking channels cnn and BBC news.

Location - right in the middle of Salzburg. Everything is within walking distance Big room and very clean. Very comforting bed, free mini bar. Staff very friendly and helpful - Ulricka was extremely helpful and so full of personal touch and personality. She is a bundle of joy Tips: Lots of cafes nearby for breaky - eg cafe bazar, tomaselli. Cafe Mozart for dessert - nockerl. Bosna / Balkan Grill is super yummy for 5.9 eur. Gorgeous clay courts for tennis at Salzburg Tennis Center - 15 min walk away. Fort is a great visit - very interesting and great view Billa supermarket nearby. Bring your own bags.

Not many facilities - it’s comfy.

Stayed in room # 122 for 2 night stay. Room was up a short L/shape staircase followed by landing and then a spiral staircase. Hotel staff carried all our bag up and down from the room for us. We had a full bed that was super comfortable even though the bed felt like it was going to be too hard, it was the best sleep we had on the first two weeks of our time in Europe. Hotel staff was super helpful and the sit down breakfast was phenomenal. Breakfast was in a beautiful room and served promptly, with eggs avail even per request. The location was central to all the tourist sites and less than a 5 minute walk to the square.

It doesn’t have air conditioning per se but when we visited in late August, with the curtains shut, windows closed and fan on our room was comfortable for us.

Don’t skip the breakfast and make advance reservations for the restaurant, it’s amazing. This was the nicest, most enjoyable stay of our trip. The location is perfect; rooms are amazing and well-equipped without losing any charm; v nice there is a lift. Ulrike starts your stay with welcoming attentiveness, and is always helpful and lending good spirits to your stay - she is the heart of the hotel for sure! I can’t imagine staying anywhere else now. We will certainly return and highly recommend!

Location was excellent- in an historic pedestrian street right in the middle of the old town , very quiet and traffic free. Boutique and characterful building, room comfortable and had everything you needed. Ulrika the manager was so friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome.

When we were staying the restaurant was closed which was a shame. It would have been nice to have had a bar to have a pre/post dinner drink. Breakfast was good but for me out of proportion- there was no choice and a large quantity of cheese/ham but a tiny pot with a spoonful of musli/yogurt and fruit and lots of bread. Better to have a choice and not waste lots of food.

The hotel is located very central. It was cosy , clean and the food was exceptional. The staff were outstanding. From receptionist, she was s welcoming that we didn’t want leave the hotel. We were offered a glass of sparkling wine . Were checked in early then our time . We didn’t even have to ask . She was great in every single way . The waiting staff were excellent. The outdoor space of the restaurant was so good . We were very luck with the weather so we ate out every night . The food was just perfect. We eat out few other recommend place but her was just amazing.

The hotel is quaint and intimate. The whole feel of the hotel is personal and beautiful and reflects the way we experienced old town Salzburg in general. This is the place to be. Not only it’s location so central, and readied to awaken to the sound of church bells and the glockenspiel of a morning, it’s so welcoming and fantastic as a home base. The star of the show is undoubtedly Ulrike. She makes the hotel what it is, and sets the tone for how anyone visiting will experience it. Everyone needs an Ulrike in their life. She is incredibly kind and especially efficient at helping her guests. All needs are met, but met in a way that’s both lasting and memorable. We would not hesitate to go back to Salzburg and only to stay there!

Perfect! The location could not have been better and Ulrike was the kindest most helpful hostess of our whole 21 day adventure across 5 countries. She is very responsive to messages and provides extensive information to help you with anything you need. She even came out to meet us in the rain to help with luggage and checked on us every time we left The hotel is on a little alley right at the market. There are bakeries and lovely businesses very close by. As I said Ulrike was exceptional but the rest of the staff was also very nice and helpful. HIGHLY recommend this hotel!

Not a thing

Really Small luxury Hotel - in the heart of the city, on an ancient street in an ancient authentic building, but at the same time with an amazing designer renovation, comfortable beds and generous space - this hotel is our love. The staff is fantastically helpful and friendly. Ulrika is simply charming. The hotel has one of the best Austrian cuisine restaurants in the city. The guys from the restaurant are just top-notch professionals. We really felt like we were being taken care of.

There’s no stuff like this

The location was the best. Our room was lovely. The bed sheets were superb. and we had all the amenities we could ask for. Our checking was first class. We were greeted with a warm towel for our hands and a glass of champagne. Our hostess was absolutely wonderful. Would recommend your hotel in a heart beat.

We had desert in from of the hotel that night. Our table was situated over the man hole in front of the hotel. My chair leg slipped into the hole of the manhole and I fell over. the plate with out dessert fell of the table and also my drink. I had cake on my arm and dress. No one gave me anything to wipe myself with until I asked for a cloth or towel. Also, they did nothing to compensate our bill for the this. I would suggest you do not put a table near this location anymore.
