There are many things to like about El Prado — our beautiful and spacious room, the terrific location just off the older downtown area with several restaurants and shops that is easily walkable. My favourite though was the lovely bar on the second floor where we went to share a great charcuterie board and two delicious cocktails when we arrived at 9pm feeling peckish after a long flight from Montreal. The bar is cosy with several comfortable upholstered armchairs and couches set up in sitting areas for a tête-a-tête for two or for small groups; just the perfect spot for relaxed drinks after work or to welcome two tired travellers.

Location is 10/10. Suite-style room was nice. Bathroom/shower situation was excellent.

I wasn't aware that breakfast was provided, so that was my mistake. I would say having to get dressed and leave the room to get coffee was not great. In the room there was no sparkling water available or room service after 10. I made a concerted effort to get checked in early, and unfortunately, in the end, I was ignored and ended up having to check-in after all events and with no food available.

This lovely boutique hotel is just off University and walking distance to so many cute restaurants and shops. It was also great to walk out the door for a run in Palo Alto. The staff were so friendly everytime we walked in the door! They were very helpful with questions. Room was super comfortable and quiet.

A breakfast option in house other than room service would have been nice, but honestly there were a lot of options within walking distance.

The location of the hotel is truly great. You're literary in the center of Palo Alto, a few minutes walk from literary anything you would want and need. The staff was nice and helpful, always there to greet and say something nice. The room was good, I'd highlight a very comfortable bed and a good TV with a million options. Everything was clean and nice. WIFI worked great without stopping for a second.

The rooms don't come with a coffee machine or a kettle The hotel does offer coffee and tea for three hours a day on the 3rd floor. There is no breakfast area so you can only do room service breakfast.

Really quiet and clean in the middle of downtown Palo Alto. Upgraded to a nice suite beds very comfortable, blackout curtains, nice and dark. Good room service breakfast the next morning. Plush robes, nice big closet. Hot chocolate down in the lobby, and not the mix your own powdery stuff. It was pretty delicious. Coffee service on each floor in the morning. Pretty special.

Quiet hotel that can be too quiet at times. No on-site amenities like bar or restaurant, but they are all around the immediate area. Common spaces are not used much by guest or supported much by staff. Ice is only available through room service.

Great location right off the main area with great shopping and restaurants. To our great surprise the wonderful II Fornaio restaurant is right in the lobby. The room was impeccable with French doors opening to a small patio that was lovely for morning coffee and breakfast. This has a very European feel starting with Steve the front desk manager who was very helpful in all respects. Will be going back!

Great location, quiet and still close to all the restaurants and businesses. Staff was outstanding, especially Eddie at the front desk. He made us feel so welcomed and answered our questions about places to eat and things to do.

Clean and close to down town.

The elevators were very dark which is a safety concern for seniors or people with vision issues. The bar was not open at times. Breakfast was surprising, that there were no quick bites to eat and had to be ordered from a menu for a sit down meal.

The hotel is beautiful! The room was both beautiful and comfortable. It was super clean. The location is great!

It was a little confusing to figure out what was available to hotel guests and what was for conference attendees. The bar never seemed to be open. Also, the price for graduation weekend is extremely high!
