Great place if you're staying for a few days here in Manchester. It's one of the cheapest options if you want your own room in a safe house. The check-in is done by yourself and I love how technological the door lock is. The wifi works well and everything else is clean. The manager responds really fast too, which is a plus. It's close to the bus station and you can even walk to the city center (Arndale, Picadilly etc) - 35 minutes. The cleaning lady is super lovely. Hope this gets to her :)

Hello). My name is Zhanara . I was in Manchester with my daughter since August 11 until August 18 and we stayed in Bankwell Guest House. We are very glad and happy that we chose this property where we felt ourselves as we were at our own home. Everything was so exceptionally nice and wonderful : property , receptionist , staff, location and people who lived with us . I definitely recommend this property to everyone 🥰🥰🥰. Thank you very much for hosting us and for being part of your Happy and Wonderful Bankwell Guest house. Kind regards, Zhanara and Amina 💜❤️🫶🙏🏽🥰😘

I liked the size of the room and the facilities. The only concern I had as a single women was the kitchen door to the garden was broken. This meant that anyone could access inside the house by climbing the garden wall and entering through the broken/open door. Which was very unnerving. This could affect me staying here in future as I didn't feel safe because of this. Dorothy the cleaner was lovely and very helpful.
I didn't like the fact the kitchen door was broken .So anyone could access the premises all night. Which is dangerous being a lone female.

The location was pretty convenient for myself as it was a good short distance away from the centre I had to go to. It was also walking distance away from the Manchester United stadium which was excellent. The place wasn't at all noisy and I found myself lucky to have found such a great place to stay during my trip to Manchester.
The only thing I had an issue with, though it wasn't a big deal by any means...was that the showerhead in the bathroom was broken. It had a crack and was leaking, affecting the water pressure but it was still useable. That is all!

ATTENTION! MUST READ This hotel exceeded my expectations. It is definitely 10/10. They must have given me the best room ever. It has a private bathroom inside and access to the garden. You can have your coffee and relax in the best possible way. I love everything about Bankwell Guest House. It is quiet, safe, very clean and lovely. When I saw the hotel on booking.com in the first place, the overall marking was around 7. But let me tell you the truth guys, it’s not 7 at all. It should be 10! I highly recommend everybody to stay at Bankwell Guest House if you visit Manchester. Love it! I have an instagram page called @dr.baturhanozatay I am a medical doc in Turkey and I share what I experience and see in the UK. I even made a video about my room I stayed in. I would be more than happy to have you in my page guys. Thank you all 🙋🏼♂️
NOTHING! Everything is perfect.

I got sent the code for the front door and the code for the lockbox that was associated with my room. The room was exactly what I needed for one night and to be honest I'd have probably stayed there for up to 4 nights. I didn't try the TV but the bed was comfy, wardrobe had plenty of hangers and there was a kettle for tea/coffee in the room. The bathroom was a shared bathroom and it was clean. It felt like I was staying at a friend's house and I liked that vibe.
Nobody was on sight to ask questions and when I tried to call the number provided I never got a response. I'd wanted to check in at 3pm but no answer to my phone calls and I didn't get my access codes until half 4. I had to be somewhere at 6pm so if I'd waited until half 4 to start getting ready I would have been late but luckily I was able to get ready somewhere else. The bed was mega squeaky but honestly, for what I paid and what I needed it for - amazing value and great location. Would definitely stay again.

Very comfortable bed. Lovely shower. Proper shower gels available in the bathroom. Nice welcoming guy on site. Good sound buffering between neighbouring bedrooms as long as bathroom doors are closed by each person. Overall quiet other than one very loud complainer on the 5th night, he was shouting at the very patient host in the hallway and then took to his phone to shout about it to friends. Unsure what his deal was as the place is lovely, but he did stop when I asked him to tone it down a bit. Otherwise it's a quiet neighbourhood. Not far from regular bus services to the university and the city. Nice big desk. Good sized kettle. I'd definitely stay again.
I'd really have to nitpick to say one toilet roll for 5 nights is a bit low, but given everything else was just great, then bobbing to the shop to get my own wasn't a big deal.

I liked the efforts of the main housekeeper that did her best to keep things clean and running, although she had a lot of work to do - She deserves a raise!
The price - I had to leave the property after only the weekend as I couldn't afford to keep up the steep, daily rate. It was a weekend full of youthful guests having fun due to the weekend, local festival. This certainly disturbed my peace and privacy. The fire alarm went off due to steam let out by the bathroom, last used by another guest... This happened for 15 solid minutes - My left ear drum is still ringing, today. Due to the extreme heat of the weekend, some form of fan or Aircon should have been available in the room. Again, I commend the staff and the cleanliness of the establishment but for over £100 per night, I anticipated a lot more.

Easy to find, , Friendly staff showed us in and gave us entry codes. The accommodation.is well presented. We didn't use the shower so can't comment on it. There were drink making facilities and a nice garden view. There are bus stops close by.
The bed wasn't as comfortable as I'm used to but it certainly didn't stop us from sleeping. The other people stopping there were up early and their moving around was clearly heard in our room.
