Convenient location.

Drove around the service area looking for the entrance to the hotel car park - which doesn't exist. A note on the website to say use the main service station car park would be useful.

Lovely friendly staff who were genuine and warm, rooms big and comfortable, built in shower gel/shampoo/handwash in the bathrooms, clean, large towels, handy station at the front desk to grab extra tea/sugar/milk for your room (I like my tea milky, so very grateful for that!), separate desk to makeup table (as a writer, appreciated having somewhere to sit!)

Stains on bedsheet upon arrival. Pillows not very comfortable. This one isn’t the fault of the property, but there were clearly a lot of local builders/contractors staying on site and they were very noisy, chatting and laughing and slamming of doors going on until way past midnight. Would have appreciated a quieter stay, but I suppose you can’t expect too much when you’re next to a motorway!

It was clean, quiet, comfortable. Very handy for the motorway stop facilities and westward travel.

I didn't know till I got there that the exit was only westward. I needed to be in Hungerford, so I had to go 8 miles to the Swindon exit and another 11 miles back on leaving Days Inn. Also, I complain at most hotels I use, as here, about 2 things 1) lack of handgrip near the shower 2) having only 1 thick duvet on the bed. This is far too hot for me. I always have to take the duvet out of its cover and use that instead. It would be nice to have one or 2 light blankets and/a bedcover, so one could pick and choose. Kind Regards Andrew H Williams

The room was clean and warm, the bed large and very comfortable. A good desk with lots of power points. There was free wifi and parking. I especially liked that the bathroom had a bath as well as a shower. Plenty of hot water. Helpful, friendly staff.

I had a struggle with the heater but a member of staff sorted it out. The fridge was not very efficient. Only food available basic Membury Services buthe Waitrose was useful.

The main room was very clean and tidy with everything available that was needed. The bathroom was also very clean with sufficient linen and washing facilities. The bed was comfortable. The room was warm. The hotel supplied a coupon for a decent cooked breakfast provided in the adjacent services area. The reception staff were very courteous and helpful.

The enamel bath had two chips in the bottom surface. Although this didn't look good, it did not cause any problems. The wash basin had a fine crack in its surface but was not a problem. The duvet was very thin. As I was alone I was able to double it over. That avoided the necessity of keeping the heating on over night. I was later informed that another duvet could have been provided if necessary. Parking was in the main services area and was controlled by the Parkingeye company. Although you can park at the hotel for free, you need to follow the instructions fully. Parkingeye have a bad reputation for issuing parking fines even if you abide by their rules!

Driving between Luton airport and the West Country this is a good location to stop as it’s about halfway. Easy to find with free parking we have stayed 6 or 7 times now. Clean and comfortable beds. Loads of hot water and tea/coffee in the room. We checked in at about 01:30 and the night guy was awake and very helpful.

Bathrooms looking well used. Checkout team were very busy chatting, then gave each other confusing advice on breakfast vouchers. Luckily the night guy had explained where to eat and how to use the vouchers as the morning lady’s didn’t offer any help at all. This was unusual as every time we have stayed before everyone what attentive and helpful, Fridays team really let themselves down.

2 rooms one room had double bed mattress great. Other disabled two singles Both rooms very clean, no issues. Enough space for a wheelchair in bathroom, to transfer to loo and get to sink. Extremely pleasant and helpful staff on desk.

Second room is adapted disabled, not a wet room, bath over shower with rails ok, second person if wanted to have a shower wouldn't have been able to get into the bath to have one. Disabled access, didn't realise that you needed to wheel individual from service station carpark to hotel, entrance is behind welcome break facilities, just awkward to load/unload car if have have several carry bags, advised able to bring car up to hotel which is mostly pedestrian walk way used, so wouldn't be ideal in the dark.

The hotel is designed as a stopover for travellers along the M4, so the surrounding facilities are limited to those of the adjacent (pretty decent) motorway services. Having said that, the room and public areas were clean and recently upgraded, although the bathroom was a little tired, and the sofa bed could do with cleaning/recovering. The reception area was cheerful and offered a good selection of snacks and drinks. The receptionist was super friendly and helpful, even giving us a hand with our heavy suitcase.

We stayed here as a family of 5 with a puppy as a half way point on our drive to Wales. The lady on reception (who I wish I had got her name) from the start made us feel so welcome. She asked where we were from and made a fuss of the children. She offered us a doggy treat for our puppy. Later on in the night my son became ill and she went above and beyond to make sure he and the rest of the family were okay. I know receptionists have a job to be welcoming but this lady really did put the stress at ease for us.

The beds were not comfy but that's a minor thing for the price.

Bigger bath would be a bonus and hot water runs low in the early evening obviously with everyone having a shower. Shame you cant book over the phone and have to go on line to do this, I was in an area of poor phone reception and could not get my emails so had to phone home to do it through Booking.com
