The location is excellent, central with access to many mrt stations, although you have to walk a bit. The lounge is also nice for hanging out.

The housekeeping did not show up regularly, and I had to ask for the cleaning to be done. The place is marketed as a service apartment, but not all rooms are equipped as such with washing machine or sink or sofa. Such rooms should be marketed simply as a hotel room to set the right expectations. Not many common facilities, but that’s not so important for my purpose.

Great new place in an up-and-coming area. Plenty of restaurants, coffee shops and a supermarket on the doorstep. Short walk to Robertson Quay and River Valley with easy access to main tourist spots. Rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable. Staff were superb; professional, attentive and friendly.

Located in a shopping mall called New Bahru, the hotel is very convenient as a staycation hotel with a wide variety of fresh food, restaurants, and cafes.But the hotel room was quiet and comfortable. The location is great and you can enjoy a variety of restaurants along the Singapore River every day.

There are not enough closets and drawers to store the contents of suitcases at all.The bathroom is unsanitary because the racks for hanging bath towels and other clean items are small and do not dry.Each time we had to dry them in the dryer provided.There were few dishes and no glasses.Sufficient for breakfast, but not enough for dinner. It has just opened so there are a few areas for improvement.In particular, the reception area is difficult to locate and the staff is not accustomed to doing their jobs.The staff explained that "there is a 24-hour resident staff, so early morning check-out is not a problem." In reality, however, there was no one at the reception counter, no doorbell, and we had to repeatedly knock on the door at the back of the room to call for the staff.Also, when checking in, the staff made three mistakes in entering the expiration date of my credit card and the bank sent me three emails to that effect. Next time, it has been improved.

Cleaning service is done Monday and Thursdays. They only throw rubbish, replace towels, and sweep floors. Overall cleaning is not up to standard. Not much provisions provided; no water, tissue paper, iron & storage.

Location is decent, lots of fine restaurants in the NewBahru complex (where Alma House is in). A CS Fresh groceries store is on Level 1 too. 10-15 minutes to the nearest MRT station, however. Facilities included kitchenette, microwave and washer/dryer. Reception staff are courteous and attentive.

Rooms were not cleaned on their housekeeping days (Mondays and Thursdays). After complaining about it on Monday night, we were still skipped on Thursday. For some reason, they serviced the room on Friday but only made one of two beds and did not clean the floors. Also had to grab our own towels after requests for additional towels were acknowledged by reception but not delivered by housekeeping. Given that they just recently opened, it feels like teething issues with staffing levels (our room was at end of hall), which I hope they can correct soon. Beds were hard. Had to hand-tighten the shower heads on initial use for some reason.
