Hotel was great, had loadshedding protection and staff were extremely helpful

The dinner buffet was awful AWFUL AWFUL, complete waste of money, cheap cuts of meat, stew/slop to go with very tough, days old beef, the one night they had meaty bones (they called it ribs), I would normally feed some of the meat they provided at the buffet to my dog. At R195-00 it is not cheap and there are much better options. Even though the other options are a short drive away, it is worth the effort to avoid the evening buffet. Breakfast also leaves a lot to be desired. Everything else was fantastic, this aspect completely let's the hotel down!!!!!

Location is central (top of a hill overlooking the harbour on one side), but safe and close to the main Cape Town attraction V&A waterfront by car (tip use Uber or Bolt ride hailing services is reasonable, quick,comfy). The staff was amazing, quiet, efficient, and helpful. It´s a family, friends, and couple place at the same time. Rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable. My top recommendation is the breakfast and dinner. Been places worldwide, the chef is off the charts! Will come back fo sho!

No fridges in the hotel or at least in our room (they said can store anything at the restaurant/bar though).

Breakfast was excellent. I love the check out of 11:00am .helps one to relax and not be in an unnecessary hurry. Breakfast was served until 11:00 . The food served for breakfast were fine .

I went for breakfast after 10:00, most of the food were not refilled. There was no bacon and bread for toast, no scones . There was only 1 lady doing omellete and eggs and we had to stand on the queue for more than 15 minutes. I didn't like that as all as we were very hungry. There were no staff to sit us down to offer us any filter coffee , I was with a 1 year old baby, they didn't offer us a feeding chair. It was difficult being on a table with a kid. The fish cakes were burnt and hard.

The room cleaners were not friendly and i felt harrased in tge mornings when they wanted to ckean while i was busy bathing

The shower, way too small, the room is outdated, the wardrobe looks like they are from the 90's. The hotel shoes signs of ageing, hope management will keep up. The swimming pool is not catering for the young patrons below 1 metre. I've stayed on the other wing and I believe it was much better and modern than the left hand side as you enter the main door.

Loved the Location and our view. Food was good.

We were told we were not allowed any outside food and drink at the poolside yet when we got there everyone was sitting with take aways, and drinks obviously not bought from the Hotel. We had the Buffet Dinner and was not allowed to take a bowl of Watermelon to our rooms.... Note there was less than 20 people at this dinner seating and loads of food still left. At the other Hotels I have stayed I have never been denied such a simple request. Also could do better with the breakfast. Had people Queuing to sit down and eat and then two omelet stations, you could put two extra people there for a better flow.

Thank you for a pleasant stay at the hotel. The fact that we had interleading doors into my daughters room next door was a bonus. The staff here was exceptionally helpful. I enjoyed my stay here. Bonus if a fidge could be added to the rooms. But i will definitely return. UCT was a few minutes away, which was really helpful back and forth

The view was not bad , food wascvery nice , buffet. Still want to come for only the Dinner buffet the staff including the manager was very friendly . staff in the kitchen i take off my hat and shoes , well organised and worked as a team.

The place is clean , but they need to do away the old furniture. Butbi guess theyte still recuperatijg from Covid. The bath tub with shower ontop neefs a glass screen so that water cannot fall on the floor . The tvs neefs to br replaced with smart tv , it still hv those old channels . But apart from that i rate them 90%

Great Hotel with Superb Staff from Reception to Dining Staff, Bar staff, Security and not forgetting the Happy Singing Housekeeper. Everyone so friendly felt like they were family. We were there for 9 days and this was consistent throughout our stay. Great Sunny pool area with fabulous views. Enjoyed watching sunset over Lions Head

Nothing. Enjoyed our stay at Garden Court and will be our first choice when back in Cape Town.

Enjoyed the hotel, was my first stay, and will more than likely return. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Wifi worked well. Parking was convenient. Pool was nice.

Carpet needs some upgrading in places, will just add to the quality of the hotel, but otherwise nothing to mention.
