Host was incredible and helped us plan a fantastic stay in Cape Town. He spent a great deal of time working out all the details of each day and made reservations at the best restaurants that we could walk too. He also helped us arrange the perfect day exploring Cape Point with a driver/guide who dropped us off at a beach town for a delicious fish dinner. We also loved the breakfast included with our stay. It was amazing. Staff was lovely. Guest house had a beautiful garden, rooms were very nice, and I’ll mention the breakfast again bc it deserves 10++++ stars. The neighborhood and guest house felt very safe and welcoming. Thank you Roland and we will be back!!

A wonderful and really clean estate ideally located close to Kloof Street with good restaurants and bars between city center and table mountain. The supernice hosts Roland and Alex support with good advice. The breakfast of your choice is freshly prepared and really delicious. Don‘t mind of your car- it can be parked in front of the house and a night guard keeps an eye on it. The rooms are clean and some of them very spacious. Staff is really kind as well. We spent great 6 days and if it was not that we had to leave at the end of our holidays we would have spent more days.

The breakfast was wonderful. Such a good selection of breakfast options that were made-to-order and of the highest quality. I have never had more delicious or fluffy scrambled eggs. Every breakfast included a wonderful fresh fruit plate including local in-season fruit of perfect ripeness. Wonderful kiwi, dragon fruit, papaya, mango, etc. Great coffee and capuccino. Delicious orange juice. Gracious and friendly staff. Location could not have been better with a quiet safe neighborhood two blocks from Kloof Neck Road and easy access to Table Mountain, Lion's Head, Signal Hill, Waterfront, Hout Bay and the Peninsula. Easy walk to many fabulous restaurants on Kloof Street.

The host Roland is extremely friendly and helpful also provided a lot of insights and tips for visiting Cape Town. The location of guesthouse is very good -- Safe and easy to access to major spots. Strongly recommend this guesthouse for people who want to discover beautiful Cape Town.

It would have been perfect if the shutter of window can be managed easily - though it did not affect anything during our stay.

We stayed at Roland & Alexandra’s place for 5 nights exploring Cape Town and it was absolutely perfect! Ronald is very helpful during your breakfast sessions (which are also very nice) for all kind of tips (surrounding, food, activities and safety) :) Our room was very romantic with the bathtub in an open space in a real African vibe! An absolutely perfect start (for us), or end time of your trip :) Thank you so much!

The guesthouse is gorgeous and lovingly appointed, with multiple pleasant and comfortable places to relax - indoors/outdoors, in the sun/in the shade. The breakfast is copious and delicious. The location is in a very quiet area, only a few minutes from a wide variety of restaurants and cafes, and you will enjoy the views of table mountain and lion's peak from many different angles. The best part is the personal attention offered by the host, particularly helpful for first-time visitors to South Africa.

I would prefer a door for the shower stall instead of a glass pane that only partially encloses it, to avoid water splashing on the bathroom floor.

Lovely, welcoming guest house in a safe and quiet area just off Kloof Street. Loved being able to walk to the restaurants but also relax and read my book by the pool at the guest house. The staff were very friendly and the owner went out of his way to make my stay great.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The owner and staff are very friendly. The room was tidy and spacious. Same goes for the bathroom. The style of the guesthouse is beautiful with an African touch. The location was excellent; restaurants, shops and Tafelberg + Lion's head were close-by. Breakfast was great with various options. The full experience, topped with complimentary fruits and cookies made it feel like a home.

The water pressure in the shower was very low and the temperature was difficult to regulate.

Location was great. Cute outdoor area and swimming pool for summer. Breakfast was fantastic and the breakfast area was cozy. Host was friendly and attentive. Honesty bar and complimentary snacks. History of the property. The fire place and shared lounge area. Bathroom décor. Bed size and comfort.

Noisy wooden floors - difficult to solve. Cold - not a property for winter. Room lacked mini bar fridge. Coffee and tea in room could improve. TV was old and not working. No heating in rooms. Views are limited from the property. Very much a social stay environment - engaging with other guests (great for some).

It was a home away from home. Each room is thoughtfully designed and the overall feel is very much to make yourself comfortable. Being slightly outside the traditional centre of town ended up being fantastic as we got to see more of Cape Town and had great access to Table Mountain and popular west coast beaches. Roland was amazing !!!! We had some ideas about what we wanted to do but every breakfast time he helped us plan out our days in such helpful detail that we followed his recommendations and most importantly he was honest in his views of what was/wasn’t good to do. Because of this he made our stay in Cape Town, and beyond, so much richer and so much more pleasurable !!!
