Thandeka from reception is an absolute gem! So kind and welcoming. Food was great too.

That you no longer supply robes, we didn’t have enough towels in our room. And small things like shower caps, sanitary towel bags were missing. There were barely tissues in the box and the TP was not a fresh role.

The hotel is well presented with all the facilities you need to hand. The rooms were studio style and were kept clean all through our stay and bedding/towels refreshed every few days which we appreciated. The location is very central and did not cost a lot to get a taxi to the waterfront (30 minute walk). Some of the staff were very helpful, polite and courteous (reception & security). The bar and restaurant area were also quite lively at night so didn’t feel the need to go far for entertainment.

There were some staff not being courteous and sometimes borderline rude (housekeeping and restaurant). Also the pool area had a slight smell of sewage. If possible to open outside windows on that floor once in a while that’d make it so much better. Room service can be improved upon, lasagne we ordered was burnt.

The breakfast is the best and most varied spread we have ever encountered anywhere in the world. From continental, full SA breakfast, sweet croissants and waffles, amazing cheeses and cold meats, fruits, jogurt, seeds and nuts, and even sushi.

Our toilet kept breaking. Though maintenance did attend to it immediately when reported the cause was not resolved and soon after would not flush again. We were offered to move rooms but as it was our last night we left it.

The ambiance was great .

checked out this morning at 4:45am , and requested a breakfast box to be prepared as per Morne and thandeka upon making my initial booking. I am utterly shocked when I arrived at Johannesburg and opened up the box , I had carried this for 2hrs not knowing there was literally no food but snacks in the box . Kindly find pictures attached For a breakfast this is ridiculously disappointing.

Everything was nice the room was beautiful, minimal and neat. The pool area was very relaxing and had a nice vibe. The breakfast was lovely.

The pillows were a bit hard and hurt our necks so I never got much sleep. I never liked having to go down to reception in order to go up to the pool. They should allow guests bedroom cards to have access. Not enough halaal breakfast options. Would like to see a halaal section separate to the unhalaal. The rooms floor was not swept or mopped. When I walked barefoot I had dirt stuck underneath.

The breakfast was exceptional. The location and staff are amazing. I marked the hotel for my all my stays when am in Cape Town.

Put shower caps in the bathrooms for ladies who may not want to wash their hair every day since the bathrooms do not have flexible showers

The breakfast was great! We spent our anniversary here and they had a slice of cake and rose pedals around our room. Very nice touch!

Better pillows

I loved everything about this hotel especially the trendy modern decor. The friendly staff and the level of service received made my birthday weekend in the Mother City one to remember. Please don't be discouraged by the off site parking situation, it was effortless. The parking was across the road from the hotel in the KPMG building, instructions are simple and easy to follow. My husband chatted to hotel concierge about decorating the room for my Birthday and wow, it was absolutely beautiful (Thank you Sive). Breakfast was great, there were hot and cold selections available. We also had dinner at the hotel and ordered room service which we enjoyed. I cannot wait to go back..

I didn't like that there was a extra charge for parking, R65 per day.

The breakfast can be improved. It's not bad, but I had better at other hotels. Especially the preparation of the omelets

The room service menu is limited.

The staff was really friendly and welcoming. Loved the room and the bathroom was gorgeous with those LED lights etc. The bar area and the food was amazing, as well as the pool on the top floor, loved it❤

Some of the staff were abit rude, don't know if we didn't look like the calibre of people to book there, but that was only 1 staff member. Everything else was amazing
