This is a fabulous BnB close to the main beaches in Hermanus. We had views of both the mountains and the sea. The owner was very friendly and the breakfasts were good. We spent more on this stay than we are accustomed to, but it was worth it.

The room, while roomy and comfortable, needs a little 'refreshing'. The toilet roll holder was broken, there were signs of corrosion around the downlights, two screws were inexplicably hanging down from the ceiling, and the paint was peeling off in one place near the bathroom (damp problem?). It wouldn't take more than a day or two to fix all these up, but it would bring the room from 95% to 100%.

Very beautiful accomodation with amazing hosts, a beautiful view from the upper floor and a tasty breakfast. The hotel is very close to the beach and the cliff path. The rooms were super clean. Theres also some restaurants in the area, however, the center of Hermanus is a short drive away (theres plenty of parking possibilities there too). The hotel has parking spaces and is in a beautiful and quiet area. The owners are very caring, fast responding and will ensure a great stay. Thank you!

Hostess, location, every space at the guesthouse was lovely, the bar, the breakfast, the service. I took my friends for a night, to celebrate my husband's birthday. It was such a pleasant experience given that all my friends, despite being over 30 - were feeling quite festive but our host was so lovely, understanding and really made us feel good. We all loved our rooms and the facilities, as well as the breakfast. Our host also advised us on a lovely restaurant - Dutchies - which is a short walk away so that was a winner too! 100% would recommend.

Beautiful spacious room and huge windowed lounge all to ourselves. All the positive reviews online were true. Genial helpful staff, good breakfast, great views. Huge perfect beach, dramatic waves, other beaches via the cliff path within a few minutes walk. Good food at the nearby beach restaurant.

On two hot nights we had to keep the windows open for ventilation, and then the mosquitos bothered us. This was manageable with the repellent and flyspray provided, and the bites were mild, but still a nuisance. For most of our 10 day stay in March the weather was cool, so we could shut the windows at night, but I'd be doubtful about staying there in hot weather. I would have liked flyscreens on the windows, but maybe that would be too unsightly. There were were unaired sheets on one occasion, but I think that this must have been an oversight at the laundry and not the fault of the hotel.

We loved our stay in Hermanus! The Lavender Manor is in walking distance to a lovely beach trail and a delicious and friendly local restaurant. Our room was spacious and comfy, our hosts affable and accomodating, and the breakfast ample and tasty as well. Hermanus is a lovely place to drive around to explore the excavation at Klipgat Cave and the cute town of Stanford for lunch and some gallery hopping.

Sorry but everything was lovely!

It felt like home away from home. The beautiful rooms are cosy and impeccably clean. One can taste the scrumptious Continental and full English breakfasts were prepared by loving hands. The hosts, Kobus and Marelise, are warm, very friendly people, that made our stay exceptional. We arrived as strangers and left as friends! Will most DEFINITELY return!

We liked everything!

- The place was very clean - It was very close to beach - We received complementary water (both still and sparkling) - The breakfast was delicious - We were able to spot whales from the roof top :) - The staff was very friendly and nice to us In total an absolutely recommendable place!

- The entrance to the parking lot is very narrow. You need to pay attention while entering. We scratched our car on a metal thing while entering unfortunately…

We stayed in the family unit which was super convenient. Nicely sized 2 bedrooms with a small living area - very comfortable. From the viewing room you can enjoy beautiful views and we saw a couple of whales (though from afar) so very nice. The cliff path is about 2 minutes walk from the lodge and the beach is about 5 minutes away. Great local restaurant around the corner as well!

Nothing major. I didn't realise (my bad) the lodge is not centrally located - though it is less than 10 minutes' drive from Old Harbour. We found it perfectly safe to drive back in the evening (Hermanus as a whole felt very safe) but we can appreciate not everyone will feel like that.

it was our second stay in this hotel after 2023 and the hotel is still fantastic very near from grotto beach in hermanus the staff and managers are also very friendly. rooms are big and very clan and the breakfast is also very good we will be back

nothing the only thing is that contary to 2023 we had no climatisation in our room but it was bearable otherwise it was perfect

The host is very welcoming. Well maintained and clean on a safe street. The room is decorated in European style. Feel warn and homey, Plenty of parking. A bit further away from the town center but easy to drive or call Uber with 5-10 min ride. Close to beach walk. Breakfast is fabulous!

If I would have one minor suggestion, not negative at all. The bath room has a higher step gap easy to miss and tip. Recommend to tape a yellow sign to remind the guests. Otherwise, its very comfortable bathroom
