The host was super friendly and made us feel very welcome. They gave us recommendations of where to eat in town. The location of the house was perfect.... couple of minutes walk to the coast where we spotted whales!! We stayed in a private room with en suite and there were lots of lovely little touches from water to electric blanket and an honesty bar if you fancied a drink. The breakfast was one of the best we had on our trip. Would highly recommend to stay here.

There wasn't anything we didn't like. As with most accommodation it'd be nice to have a few more hooks to hang things in the bedroom and bathroom.

It is a lovely little, homey manor house next to the cliff path. Breakfast is also wonderful. We were hit by extremely bad weather and needed to stay one extra night there. Mariejke was super flexible and accommodating and did her utmost best to take care of us and compensate for the rough conditions. Despite the fact that electricity was out in the whole town and all the roads were blocked, we had a lovely time just reading and playing cards by the fireplace. We couldn't have been in better hands and so so thankful for all the hospitality.

This is a beautiful property with wonderful gardens and a calm ,peaceful atmosphere. Marijke does everything to make your stay comfortable and is happy to tell you about the locality, restaurants and travel in the area. We arrived after a long arduous journey and felt rested immediately. Breakfast out on the terracwe was wonderful.

The property is close to a busy road so some rooms might be a bit noisy in the mornings although it didn't bother us .

From check-in to check out, our host, Marieke went "above and beyond" to look after us. From recommending walks and eating places, to things to do, even where to get the best medical help. We felt hugely welcome. The guest house comes highly recommended. Oh - and breakfast was excellent too!

Some rooms are a little affected by noise from the main road. In our case, as light sleepers, Marieke kindly arranged a room change for us. She was super helpful.

Marijke was a fabulous host. She made our stay extremely comfortable and gave us a lot of tips on things to do around which was very helpful. She even managed to book us for a whale watching tour in peak season on a Sunday, even though we requested it at the very last minute. There's a lovely cliff walk exactly outside the property, from where you can easily spot whales. The room and amenities were extremely good, they even had bed warmers, which were such a blessing in the cold. Would highly recommend the property!

The property is a little out of town but right opposite the coastal path. The room was light and airy and really comfortable. The bathroom had a selection of products. Breakfast was fruit, eggs and toast and there was tea and coffee available all day which you could help yourself to. Our hostess, Marijke was really helpful with suggestions for dinner and all the other question we had. Although we didn’t have a fridge in the room we could use the one in the dining room.

The moment we stepped in the door, we fell in love with Walker Bay Manor. Marijke was there to receive us and showed us the stunning mountain view room. The view is breathtaking, the room is spacious and cosy, the bed was very comfortable and the fresh flowers were a very personal and appreciated touch. Marijke helped us with dinner reservations (excellent), walking (stunning) and shopping (successful to say the least) recommendations. We felt already very much at home, but when we came to the breakfast in the gorgeous garden, we wanted to move in! Do yourself a favour and book here - it will be fantastic.

Loved everything about this place! The host and staff were lovely, everything was super clean, the pool was so gorgeous and perfect temperature, there was an honesty bar and because we were rushing to go to our next place in the morning, the team organised for us to start breakfast earlier than scheduled. Recommend the stay!

The Guest House was amazing. right from the original booking Marjke, the owner, was super helpful. She even offered to book a day shark viewing boat trip for us. arriving at the guest house we were greeted with warmth and friendly hospitality. the rooms are very well appointed and the breakfasts are delicious. it was my birthday and the staff spoilt me and surprised me with a yogurt parfait with a sparkle. such a wonderful touch and shows the attention to detail. the property is also well situated 5min drive from town. and right across the road from the shore side with the worlds most magnificent promenade to walk

We were warmly greeted by the owner upon arrival and that set the tone for the rest of the stay. She gave us wonderful tips on where to go in Hermanus and what to do. You can actually enjoy whale watching just a short walk in front of the property. Plus, that same spot is where the Cliff Path trail starts in Hermanus. I'd give the location a 10/10. The mansion itself is quite beautiful and has a pleasant charm to it; the room was beautiful and clean, also the bathroom. They served delicious breakfast tailored to one's preference. Marijke was very friendly and receptive to us. :-) Thank you for welcoming us into your property. We stayed for only one night, but will definitely book here again during our next trip to Hermanus!
