What a lovely, warm, homely stay. Ryan, all the staff and animals were great and friendly. I love hot, high pressure showers and the farside offered that which is lovely in the cold, misty midlands mornings and evenings. Abel the chef's breakfasts were always perfect in presentation and taste and they accommodated my very late breakfast times which I greatly appreciated. A seating by the crackling fireplace with the resident dogs, a glass of wine, soft music in the background and a good book made the stay a 5 start indeed.

Beautiful stay and very cozy and friendly vibes! The host was very welcoming and accommodating. There was great attention to detail in the rooms and decorations. Food was well prepared and everything where possible locally sourced and fresh. We had a lovely stay and wish we could have spent more time.

The shower/bath was lovely and looked beautiful but a bit of a struggle when showering (not bathing!). Try as we might we still managed to get water outside the tub.

A beautiful gem of a place, well located from Drakensburg and Midlands Meander. Breakfast was so nicely presented and delicious, especially the sourdough bread. Room was very comfy and setting so peaceful and homely.

Our stay was just too short. Would have liked more time there to walk around the dam and enjoy the tranquility.

We stayed at the Farside Manor during mid Sep 2022. The Manor looks exactly likes its pictures. The host, Ryan was extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful with providing recommendation on places to see and activities to do. Breakfast was delicious. The room we stayed in (recommended by Ryan) had the best views and bathroom with loads of space. The house pets (Fugly (cat), Gulliver (cat), Savannah (dog) & we forget the name of the Jack Russel (dog)) just added to the authenticity of the Manor, and yes we wanted to take Fugly back home with us.

No dinner is served as it is a B&B. It would be nice to have the option of a light dinner.

Gorgeous facility, located in a quiet area with expansive views across the surrounding fields. Large, well furnished bedrooms including a ball-and-claw bath and a full bathroom. Well furnished lounge with a lovely fireplace. Scrumptious breakfast menu served by a very friendly chef. Everything was well organised by friendly, efficient staff. Highly recommended!!

That we only stayed one night 😞.

It's a place where you can really enjoy the beauty of the area. It is like a beautiful boutique hotel where although luxurious, the host makes you feel relaxed and at home. We loved it so much that we decided to come again. The second stay was consistent with the first including a delicious breakfast. Close to great restaurants.

Our host Ryan and our chef were the nicest people ever, breakfast was amazing, bed too comfortable, everything was clean, they made us feel so at home, just love the place, will go back again and again.

Ryan and Abel make you feel incredibly welcome and as if it’s your own personal country manor. The breakfasts and Abel’s freshly baked sourdough are amazing and the property is picturesque. The rooms are comfortable and spacious and well kitted out!

Honestly love that there's limited rooms, which are fantastic by the way, which means fewer guests so you're looked after really well. Ryan (I think it was :P) was a great host, really easy to talk to and isn't overly in your space.

The bathrooms are open into the bedroom without doors, which is a 50/50 design call. Maybe a fold up screen or something would be a nice option if you didn't like that sort of thing.
