By far the best stay I’ve had anywhere. The property, the rooms, the view, the decor, the staff, food, everything! Down to the smallest details, from luxury toiletries and linen, to coming back from dinner with robes and slippers laid out on the bed with a handwritten poem and chocolates left to enjoy. The team of staff were exceptional, going above and beyond to make an already beautiful stay an unforgettable experience. I could not recommend this place more, and can’t think of a single thing that wasn’t 10/10. The team here have achieved perfection, and it really was a privilege to be their guest and enjoy the small piece of heaven they have created. Thank you so much!!

That I couldn’t stay longer

This is a special place! We had not expected the amount of thought and attention to detail given to the architecture overlooking the tree canopy and the presentation of the suites. the staff were all amazing and i regret to say I didn't pay enough attention to names but the young lady with the welcoming smile and the warm and wonderful sense of humour who showed us round on arrival was wonderful and such a joy to meet on arrival. Also the lady who lit such a wonderful fire in our room deserves a special mention. However it important to say that all the staff went out of their way to make our stay amazing, including a birthday surprise of cakes. This truly is a small piece of heaven of earth! Thank you

oh dear! nothing! easy!

Where do I start… this property was the “accommodation highlight” of our three weeks in Africa. Second to none. The treetop lodges are total luxury. They’re nicer than any hotel room we’ve ever stayed in. There are countless little 5-star luxuries we experienced, like a welcome bottle of bubbles for our honeymoon, a complimentary mini-bar and the service… the staff act like they were born and trained just for your stay! The turndown was amazing with a lit fire and little treats in the bed, the dinner in all three on-site restaurants was amazing and the views all round the lodges are spectacular. We got our laundry done as this was the halfway point of our trip and we also used the brilliant gym. Thank you all so much.

Nothing, this place is outstanding.

Very nice estate, clean, modern, with wonderful views and nice stuff! The room was amazing with great details and was equipped in a special way (bath bomb, jukebox, special alcohol (included), fireplace which you can use). The breakfast contained delicious bread.

All in all the price-performance ratio was not sufficient for us - in comparison to other luxury estates in South Africa, considering the food and wine (meat a little disappointing and the stuff was not good informed in terms of the wine both at the Tsala restaurant and at the Hunters restaurant - however the stuff was very friendly).

service and food in restaurant awful. 2 hours + to get main meal (because we chased.) neighbouring tables arrived after us and were on their deserts before we even had our starter. we did speak with management during our time there, and at the end we were told they would cover bill. this was a nice gesture but in reality this was a once in a life time stay, very expensive and the meal was part of it. would have preferred to pay for a suitably quality meal to make the overall stay perfect.

The Tsala team made this place extra special. We got recently engaged and they went the extra mile to celebrate this with us.

One small (!) remark. The power plug of our room switched off when we had too many electrical appliances switched on (heater and airco), but this was fixed within 30 minutes, but maybe something to look into for future guests.

Like a dream come true. Starting from the warm welcome from staff (Patience and Lloyd) to the decadent breakfasts our stay was delightful. All views from the suite (number 2) were exceptional. The fire in the fireplace each night warmed us and our hearts. Great gift shop. Housekeeping was amazing. And the lighted walkway was enchanting.

The forest setting, with the trees and wooden walkways was peaceful and delightful. The staff was very welcoming, friendly and treated us like royalty. The decor in the room and common areas was beautiful and some very unexpected. The experience was a wonderful suprise in comfort, relaxation and we were completely spoiled.

Superbly relaxing, the lodge and its rooms are fantastic. The native vervet monkeys visited us making it more special. Hand written notes and evening treats.

The intro to the lodge amenities and how to reach the main area was missing. Water to the room wasn’t included although there was some provided in minibar. Small things but expected given high cost

Unique accommodation up in the treetops near Plettenberg Bay. The room was amazing with a huge sitting room, patio, separate balcony and big bathroom with outdoor and indoor shower. Staff were very friendly and made sure we were having a great experience. Check in in time to make sure you get maximum time to enjoy the room but also the grounds of the hotel with its beautiful chapel and aloe gardens. Thanks to the family for a great stay!
