The location was amazing - the canoe and hiking trip to the waterfall was very special. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the morning was super and the suppers in the evenings were great value for money.

The waiting staff were very friendly and helpful but got our supper order wrong twice. Not a big deal for us, but their training could be improved. There was nowhere in the room to dry wet costumes and towels - a drying rack would have been super useful!

Room offers lots of space. Renovated and has nice colors and curtains. Right at the river. Great view. Bed very comfortable. Shower is powerfull. Soap, shampoo and bodycream available. Wifi ok. Free use of canoe, Lovely to swim in the river. Pool is great too. Gardens lovely. A lush and green environment with huge palmtrees. Breakfast is good and more then sufficient. Friendly staff. We had one dinner during our stay. Not busy. Limited choice, but food is quite good. In the village the restaurants are fully booked sometimes so it worked out well for us.

An extra comfy chair in room would have been nice. And a table to put at least one suitecase on. Now we had to drop them on the bed or on the floor. The Switch of the bedlights are out of reach when in bed. When room is used as a twin it probably works out very well. It didn´t spoil our stay.

The location is amazing, i love the vibe at Fairy Knowe, it's such a tranquil location that helps anyone to destress. We were able to take kayaks which are offered by the hotel for free up and down the river. Scenic walks all around and relatively close to the surrounding restaurants. Wilderness is such a relaxing location, we loved it. An added bonus to the resort is TLC, who offer massages and Yoga/wellness classes.

We took two cottages, one of them was perfect no noise, the other number 18 was very close to Eden Adventure office. There is constant foot traffic through here and noise, unfortunately this was very disturbing, we were unable to leave the room windows open due to the excessive noise.

Great location next to the river where you could start a Kayak tour or go swimming just in front of your room. Nice pool area too. Restaurant offers all you need, good breakfast. Family room was nice and big enough for a family of four.

Staff seemed to be not very knowledgeable of the area (the first day we were not told that Kayaks actually were available for free for guests, but instead sent to the opposite Kayak rental company. When asking for hikes there was no information to be obtained, not even on the fantastic Half Collared Kingfisher Trail which literally starts around the corner...). But definitely not a problem that could not be sorted by just using google ourselves :-)

The location was very good, right by the river. It was very private. We were able to sit outside our lodge and enjoy the view, river and wildlife. A perfect sanctuary. The breakfast was good, more than adequate.

The approach to Fairy Knowe wasn’t good. We had to drive for some distance along a dirt road with big potholes and loose stones risking damage to our vehicle. I would strongly urge Fairy Knowe or the local authority, whoever is responsible, to tarmac the road. It’s a shame that such a lovely place is spoiled by an atrocious access road.

The room was clean and opened onto a verandah and river which we liked. We appreciated that the room was cleaned by the time we returned from any morning excursions and that the fridge was big enough to keep our personal items and purchases cold.

The chair in the room, though practical, was terribly uncomfortable. The staff, though friendly and helpful, were incredibly noisy. We could hear them talking at the to of their voices for most of the day.

Fairy Knowe is a great place to stay. You can't beat the value for money or the atmosphere. We had in house rooms for the first time and they were extremely comfortable with beautiful modern bathrooms and fittings. We braaied for supper on the banks of the Touw River. A truly perfect setting and highly recommended!

Great breakfast. The free kayaks were a very nice surprise, and it’s a great area to explore. Rooms were neat and the bathrooms look amazing.

Every time room service cleaned, we had less and less towels (until there was only one left). Same with the mugs, we started with 4 and ended with none by day 2. But, luckily the staff was very helpful to give us some more. The wifi was very slow.

This is a beautiful resort in nature with lovely views of the Touw River. We booked a ground floor unit overlooking the river. The room is spacious and modern. The food at the restaurant were great especially the lamb curry. Included in our booking was a basic buffet breakfast which were more than enough. We were there in April so the weather was not great for swimming. It is a family friendly resort - you can make use of the canoes at the swimming pool.
