What a great find!! The hotel is situated in a quiet village with lovely views, about 15 minutes drive from Vitoria-Gasteiz. We found the environment very relaxing and calm. The hotel is beautifully presented and the service offered by the team was first class. The cafe/bar, restaurant and gardens all offered a great experience. Breakfast was excellent, high quality and beautifully presented - Well worth paying for in my opinion. Our room was spacious, quiet and comfortable with a lovely view of the garden and surrounding area. We would not hesitate to go back next time we are in the area.

Parking at the hotel seemed a little limited, there is a car park but it was often full when we returned to the hotel. However, there are good/safe parking options close by on the roads surrounding the hotel.

Lovely quiet location in a hamlet- no shops or cafes close by. Bilbao is only an hour away. Reception gentleman was top class- friendly and helpful. Gardens were lovely with plenty of seating. Restaurant is real old world- amazing timber design.

2 barmen downstairs. Elderly man was top class- efficient and friendly. The younger man was preoccupied with logging his records on the computer and kept 3 of us waiting 5/10 minutes without an apology- he needs to learn about customer service from his colleague who eventually looked after us.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for our stay near to the main road but far enough away so it was quiet. Good size room with everything you need. Breakfast was amazing lots of choices including made fresh to order hot food. Wish we had longer to see the beautiful countryside. Parking was good, plenty.

The lateness of the opening times for the restaurant we had had a long drive and wanted to eat dinner earlier than the restaurant opened it appears most Spanish restaurants open at 21.00h but we wanted to get to bed early as we had another long drive the next day. We ate at the restaurant but didn't sleep so well eating that late. Next time we will eat in the cafeteria.

We arrived later in the afternoon so did not manage to walk around the area, but the views from the hotel were amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was very comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed the evening meal and there was a lot of choice for breakfast. We have stayed in a Parador hotel before and love the old buildings they are in.

The only niggle, is with being British, it would be lovely to have some tea making facilities in the bedroom. Nice to have a cup of tea whilst you are unpacking.

Wonderful Spanish architecture- stone or wood floors with rugs, large airy rooms, high ceilings, wide staircases. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The restaurant for breakfast (and dinner if eating in) was at the top of the hotel (and was a lovely room). Good food. I was with friends supporting a competitor in an Ironman competition, so on race day we were up (very) early and back late ….. they laid on early breakfast for competitors and followers- and we ended up having dinner pretty late…. but staff and kitchen were fantastic. I can recommend the Jamón Iberico and the shoulder of lamb! The Parador is easy to find in Argomaniz, and the views over the countryside are super. The area is known for being a bit of a cyclist’s paradise apparently! There is a beautiful garden and terrace to relax in. If you prefer inside, then there are a couple of lounge areas - all very comfortable.

If there was one criticism it would be that the air conditioning in my bedroom could have been cooler- but honestly that’s it.

We always try to include a night in a Parador when we do a road trip in Spain. This was our third Parador. It is a nice break from the bustle of the cities/towns we visited on our trip. Calm and peaceful stay. Room was very good. Clean and spacious. Room had a garden area which was a bonus we weren’t expecting. Lunchtime snacks in the courtyard area were very nice. We booked dinner bed & breakfast, fantastic value for money. The evening 3 course meal was so good. Little extra bonus dish from the chef was a nice touch. Food was delicious. Couldn’t fault any course and waitress was so helpful with menu. The dining room is very impressive with dark wooden ceiling and plenty of space between tables. Same room for breakfast. Loads of choice and we weren’t rushed at all.

Nothing. Couldn’t fault the hotel or staff.

The building, our room, the beds, the little garden that came with the room and breakfast. The staff very kind.

No food in between meal times, not even a sandwich. Difficult to open terrace door which is very heavy. We were cold, it was October and no central heating but the staff provided us with a radiator. No bath robe or slippers. The staff overworked. Only one person at the desk and lots of queues to get her attention.

A beautiful hotel with lovely grounds to sit out in under a tree. The staff were smiling and efficient and spoke good English . Dinner was tasty and the breakfast buffet excellent

I know this is Spain, but I suspect that a good number of guests stop over on the way to or from a final holiday destination and have a long day's drive behind and/or ahead of them . So it would be great if the (very good) restaurant could open earlier for dinner

Bike storage garage was exceptionally well equipped with workstand, tools and locks. Great place to relax after a long day cycling.

Not easy to work out what the restuarant food would be like - chef carefully prepared meals but we had to request potatoes to bulk up our portions. Buffet and cooked breakfast was great. Kitchen was closed when we needed some early evening snacks.
