Very happy with the Wifi! As I was working remotely for 2 days, I was afraid internet would not be good enough. Internet was very fast, rooter was near my bed !!! About 2-3 times per day, my laptop would just lose internet connection. But after max 1 Minute, internet connection was restored. Very clean place ! I had shared toilets and they were always very very clean ! Shared kitchen where one can prepare food or tea. Room was not very big, but big enough to allow me to do yoga.

I stayed in Hostal San Gines last Christmas and enjoyed it that much I chose to stay again this Christmas, the staff are fantastic and helpful, the cleaners are happy efficient and really lovely ladies, San Gines is very well located, 1 min walk to the Lagoon where there are plenty of places to eat, approx 200 mtrs up the hill is a massive shopping centre with so many different shops, something for everyone, 2 min walk to the shopping street again with everything for someone, overall well located, cheap cheerful and all the staff are lovely, and a bonus use of the big kitchen area to make your own lunch or evening meal, thank you xxxx

The ‘kitchen’ was very limited - just a microwave, kettle and grill so not able to cook much, which was a shame as chose this property to save on eating out. They did buy more cutlery whilst I was there as when I arrived there seemed to be only one knife! Parking was just a couple of roadside spaces (always occupied) and a very sketchy dirt area. I didn’t want to risk damaging the hire car mounting the kurb, so opted to park in the free public car park up the hill.

The location is fantastic and what you get for the price outperforms the competition. There is 24h reception, roof terrace, kitchen, daily room cleaning and you can leave the luggage after the checkout too! The room was basic, but there was a little fridge, big wardrobe and the mattress was really comfortable! AC was working and the windows opened to a shaded area.

The towels were not soaking in much water and the sound carried through the hostel. Fortunately, most people were going to sleep before us.

Literally booked the day before due to a family emergency. I needed a bed as I would have been spending every day at the hospital. I arrived over an hour early and I was able to check in. The receptionist was welcoming and helpful and also the cleaners that kindly showed me to my room. The room was well equipped, clean and perfect. The bed was so comfy. They could not have done anymore for me. Helping me daily get to and from the hospital every day, nothing was ever to much. I stayed for 6 nights and under the circumstances really enjoyed my stay. Bed was comfi, staff was friendly, very clean , lovely hot shower , everyone was very welcoming and the kitchen was big and had all the necessary things. I would love to come.back and stay at this very same hostel. Great value for money

Nothing, just gets a little noisy in the mornings , people (guests I presume ) speaking loudly in the reception area. It would be nice if there were signs to tell people to make less noise early in the morning :) just a suggestion.

First time solo travelling, but felt safe in this hotel on my own. The staff are so friendly and helpfull. Nice little port 3mins away and city center. Bed extremely comfy as i have arthritis and slept so well. Had a shared bathroom but never saw anyone else. 2 showers on my floor and i used the larger bathroom. Very clean. The rooftop terrace is fab for relaxing in the sun with a book.

Was,nt keen on shared kitchen but bought my own kettle, not a problem.

Good location, close to centre of city ,fabulous rooftop terrace. , stayed here numerous times over the last few years , it improves each time ,single rooms not the biggest but adequate for a few days , perhaps a double with private bathroom would improve your experience, close to bus depot 23 bus to airport €1.40 : taxis €14 ; nice little kitchen with microwave etc , staff and very knowledgeable and friendly

Bed was comfy,balcony for budget stay. It was quiet enough to get a good sleep.

First night I had a room with mold, they didn't change it because I noticed it only one h later. Already unpacked my stuff. So,this hostel is good budget stay ,but only if not interior room,first floor. U had a air conditioner on all night on ventilator air cleaning mode to be able to breath in the room. And no smoking policy does not work,as some ppl from higher floors were throwing cigarettes indoor patio I had my window to. But again that's on ppl who don't respect others,not facility itself.

Excellent value for money. Spacious room that was no-frills basic and clean. Great location less than a minute from the bay and close to the shopping centre. It felt like I had the shared bathroom all to myself as it was always free when I needed it.

The wifi was quite unreliable; slow most of the time and not working on some occasions. The massive wardrobe had exactly three hangers and no shelves. There were a couple of cupboards with several drawers though. There were no hooks in the room and only one hook in the bathroom to hang towels, clothes, etc. A few more would have been useful.
