Really beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of old town Estepona. Located in a very pretty square where you can sit out for any meal and enjoy the comings and goings. Stunning views from the rooftop bar and restaurant. Lourdes and her fabulous team including Sandra and Celia couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. All of the staff at this hotel are exceptionally helpful and friendly. It’s not often you come across somewhere so delightful and uplifting. The whole place has a serene and peaceful aura, the rooms are spotlessly clean and the bed was really comfortable which is so important. We cannot fault Hotel El Pilar. We will recommend it without any doubt to friends and will definitely visit again… hopefully many times!! Thank you to all the staff - you made our stay extremely memorable 💛

High quality upmarket experience. The accommodation itself could not have a better location, being situated on Plaza de las Flores, Estepona. The room we had overlooked the beautiful square itself and had a 'Juliet' balcony. The staff were friendly, helpful, efficient and were eager to assist, whatever the request. The food and drink 'offer' at the hotel was superb, and was provided through a range of bars/restaurants including a wine bar, a bistro, a breakfast room, an Asian/Fusion restaurant, a rooftop bar, a breakfast room and a pub. The quality of the food and drink was very high. The ambience of the hotel was also positively influenced by the standard of the materials used in the building itself, as well in the furnishings, fittings and sympathetic colour-schemes used.

We liked everything!

Two good restaurants, both serving very different food of excellent quality. Also a very Spanish bodega serving a good variety of tapas. The night we visited there was a performance of flamenco guitar and singing. Great atmosphere! Staff throughout the hotel very friendly, polite and helpful. Location of hotel was perfect, near to all the many bars and restaurants. Great rooftop bar.

Wasn’t too keen on the hotel’s English bar that could be accessed from the street. Too noisy and not where I want to be in Spain. The breakfast was extremely good, and I liked to be served at the table rather than having to deal with a buffet. My only criticism was that the food ordered tended to come at once, rather than in stages, not allowing me to eat at a leisurely pace. A pity, as the variety and quality of breakfast was excellent.

I loved everything about this Hotel it is just beautiful fabulous location amazing staff each and everyone of them I can’t remember all names apart from Celia who went above and beyond for us The hotel is absolutely spotless there are different restaurants and a beautiful roof top terrace to start off your evening or finish your day all in all we are just back from a fabulous holiday and have to say staying in this hotel contributed to our enjoyment we will definitely be back Thank you to all the beautiful staff that we had contact with

Absolutely beautiful hotel and location. Staff were exceptionally pleasant at all times of the day. The room was ideal the beds and bathroom real luxury. So very quiet at all times with windows closed. Excellent air con/ heating.

Because the balcony is so small there is no seating. This would not be a problem if the rooftop was open. We went twice but it was obviously closed owing to furniture stacked and planters with shrubs having work done on them.This ment nowhere to sit but not a problem everything else was so nice.

The location is superb on flower square, central and ideal for exploring the old town. The staff were very polite and professional and extremely helpful with any queries we had. The rooms and cleaning were to a very high standard. Breakfast was very good. Nice area outside the hotel to have dinner and drinks with a shaded area during the day when the weather was very hot. Views from the rooftop bar were lovely in the evening, when relaxing over a drink.

There is no swimming pool in the hotel, other hotels have a rooftop one, however the beach and public swimming pool is a short distance away

Myself with my sister-in-law and niece enjoyed a superb breakfast every morning on their lovely patio area just outside the hotel overlooking the pretty square there and all the staff serving our breakfasts each morning was just excellent and they couldn't do enough for us all and the location of this beautiful hotel was just perfect.

There was nothing to dislike as the Hotel El Pilar Andalucia is just so beautifully designed and all their staff are very friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble for themselves and my deluxe double bed room en-suite was just so lovely with French doors opening out to a balcony overlooking the pretty square outside and I had such a lovely bathroom with an amazing shower which I really enjoyed. Also this hotel has a gorgeous roof top terrace to just enable ourselves to sit and relax while we tried some of their delicious cocktails with a selection of their Tapas dishes while overlooking the scenic views of the old town in Estepona which was absolutely stunning and well worth seeing and we throughly enjoyed our stay there.

The Hotel Pilar is beautiful. Situated in the Old Town of Estapona. Hotel Room: large airy with coffee facilities. Our huge bed was so comfortable.Showers: I prefer walk in showers but in this case they have a really large grab rail to aid getting in / out of the shower ( over bath). The toilet lights up at night definitely helps finding it😂. Hilarious. Breakfast is exceptional. Nothing is a problem. From a full cooked breakfast to a light Spanish breakfast. Staff: every single member of staff was so pleasant and friendly and beautifully dressed. Parking : Although there is no on site parking that is not an issue. There is an underground parking garage near a large Carousel , within a ten min walking distance. It is underground the entire length of the Paseo so it is possible to park near to the hotel and walk upstairs within a few minutes of the hotel. It is 19 euro a day. Safe. Estapona : the entire area is beautiful, gardens, foliage, the Old Town is pedestrianised. From the Hotel it is possible to walk everywhere. Especially at night to the greatest array of restaurants, all within 10-15 mins max walking distance. We have already recommended this hotel to friends and we plan on returning in the future.

We did not have breakfast but enjoyed dinner in The Fusion restaurant upstairs, also a family dinner outside in the hotel's section of the square. Food was delicious, staff were very attentive and helpful in menu choices. We absolutely loved the terrace bar, Maria is a treasure. Coopers Barrel also deserve a mention, Daniel in particular as he organised wine, a cooler and glasses to our room to entertain guests. The front of house staff were so welcoming. Our room was well appointed, great air conditioning, products and dressing gowns.

Maybe some bigger cups, lol, we Irish like our tea!

1. Thee location is perfect. In the heart of Estepona old town and on a beautiful plaza. 2. Hotel is fairly new and it has a nice feel about it - the interior is well done. 3. The staff were great - always keen to help.

1. Only 1 working plug in the room, which, when you've got smart phones, laptops and cameras that need charging it was a nightmare. We mentioned this to the hotel at check-out and they said it was a problem throughout the hotel - disappointing that it hasn't been resolved. 2. We had to keep asking for tea and coffee to replenished (not even top ups) just the daily items. There was bottled water on arrival and we assumed it would be daily (but no) so we always had to buy our own.
