Arrived early and was given early checkin which was fabulous. Beds have privacy curtains and own power outlets. There’s a small lamp but it’s quite ineffective. Couldn’t read a book using it unfortunately. Lockable storage for cabin bags under the bed. Good shower. Free churros and coffee in the mornings. Small kitchen.

No blankets which is so weird because it was about 12c overnight. I asked for a blanket and was given this weird kind of plastic sheet thing that was too small and not warm at all so I paid €3 for a towel and used that. Had to get dressed in clothes and puffer jacket to sleep. Madness

The hostel was in a very central location and next to a metro station. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I LOVED the rooftop bar and I am glad I had my last drinks up there. The room was clean and I felt very safe. There was a big locker underneath the bed. The bed was very comfortable, with a reading light, a small storage pocket and a socket. There were several toilets and showers in the building and they were all in good condition. I stayed in an en-suite. The shower temperature and pressure was superb. The kitchen facilities were amazing and there was plenty of space to prepare and store food. I loved the tours and activities and I met some amazing people.

Ensuite shower was leaking water into the room. The sealant around the shower at 501 needs to be renewed because it is mouldy. This will also stop the leaking.

2060 The Newton Hostel is in an excellent location - easily walkable to many attractions. The dorm rooms were nice and spacious. Locker size varies depending on which bed you have. The shower temperature was usually warm. The common room is small but cozy. There is an elevator to avoid climbing stairs. I really enjoyed my stay here.

The individual bed lights in the dorm shine like the beacons of Gondor. It would really be nice if they were dimmable. It would be nice to have more hanging spaces in the room and bathroom. Some of the activities they advertise are not going on right now (tapas, bike rental, sauna), which would have been nice to know before booking.

The location is exceptional - the metro station is just around the corner and all the most famous places are reachable on foot in a matter of minutes. There's a lot of privacy in the comfy beds and the storage space was enough for a backpack and a larger bag. Even if there was a lot of noise coming from the common area on the top floor (I stayed one floor below) if was not hearable in the room itself. It was nice that the showers were very private and had an area where you could change clothes without getting them wet.

The biggest drawback for me was the shower and tap water situation - you had to push a button to get water for a limited time. In the shower, you have to repeatedly push the button to get a constant stream of water and it would only get warm after some time. The shower head was also quite high, so it was a bit hard to use as a shorter person.

Bunk beds with curtains, air conditioner, self-cook kitchen with all the stuff in it, really kind & helpful staff and location. I also made some really good friends and I know that is not a permanent thing about the place but the guests are generally nice and young people.

Actually not a big deal but the private bathroom sink is really small. I wish there were a six bed-female room type instead of 12 because 12 people in one room is really loud since some of the guests are on vacation and being loud at night and some of the guests are here for study/vacation and want to get rest properly:) but i’d still give 10 stars to the hostel!!

The staff is very polite and helpful, facilities are amazing, free church's, coffee and tea in the mornings, everything is super clean all the time, nice terrace and comun areas, strong wifi.

I didn't like the area where is located, is full of pick pockets, I saw a girl that her phone was stolen just at the door of the hostel, that was not the only case, a guy got his phone stolen too just across the corner too. Some many stolen phones in just a few days, incredible!!

This hostel is one of the best, if not the best hostels I have been to in Spain! The staff is super polite and welcoming! They allowed me to do an early check in which I really needed after traveling for 10 hours and arriving at 9am in the morning. The kitchen is great and it was fully equipped. The elevators were fast, the bathrooms were so clean it felt like home. The beds are comfortable and nicely organized. There is a roof top with a bar and a great view. It was just amazing. The location is also pretty central with a metro just minutes away. I would like to come back here 100 more times! ♥️ You guys rock !

I really enjoyed the fact that the hostel was surrounded by everything. We could wake up and go around the corner to many different restaurants and sights to see. It was amazing. My friends and kids enjoyed our stay. The staff was nice. They had a lot of planned activities you can join in on such as walking tours and late night bar hopping. I thought that was really unique! The hostel was very clean in my opinion and the beds I think were just the perfect size. I know I slept like a baby(:

I think the toilet area could be a bit bigger. It’s really tight. Also if the hostel would come With towels(instead of having to rent it) & if they had a washer & dryer (: other than that no complaints.

Excellent location - walking distance to all ther fantastic places in Madrid. Great WIFI, excellent common areas, superb kitchen, Elevator, onsite restaurant, privacy curtains, focus on cleanliness, electricty points. It was an excellent stay,

The bed was terrible. Both mine and my friends beds caved in (Mattresses that are overused) - there were depressions in the center - and hence a comfortable sleep wasnt possible. And zero hooks in the shower. You have to leave all your clothes and toileteries ON THE FLOOR when you go for shower. Very Bizzare.

It was a great place to stay for a solo female traveller! The property has a modern design to it and was impeccably clean. The rooms are quite spacious and the beds very comfortable with curtains around. There is also adequate storage for luggage. Staff were friendly and helpful. A lovely kitchen to cook meals with an adjoining sitting area. They also have a tie up with a local place for a Flamenco show, which gets you a discounted price. Close proximity to the main square, bus stop and metro. Would definitely recommend this hostel!

The taps in all washrooms have a press/push system. Can be inconvenient when taking a shower.
