A very nice hotel with excellent staff. Impressive reception with helpful and positive front desk. The bedroom was clean and interesting with BIG picture windows overlooking the street and a suitably impressive building opposite. Micro balcony. Despite which the room was very quiet. The bed was good and clean. Mini bar with two complimentary cans of Aguila beer. Separate shower and toilet. Both exceptionally clean. Lovely complimentary toiletries and good towels. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice in nice surroundings. Rooftop swimming pool was amazing and just long enough to swim in if no one else in it. Beautifully clean and clear. Pool towels provided. Excellent selection of deck chairs, bean bags, high tables and chairs and a brilliant 360° rooftop view of Madrid. Drinks brought to the roof terrace was wonderful. Coffee machine.

The bedroom was small. Nowhere to put your luggage. The interior designer needs a good kicking talking to ‘cause there was a stupid grill over the bed that was of no value and made it uncomfortable to sit up and was a danger if you sat up quickly! The shower cubicle was made of opaque glass and you were dimly visible whilst showering. Worse was the idiot interior designer made the wall between the shower and the toilet of clear GLASS! So you could sit on the toilet and watch your partner shower or shower watching your partner… sit on the toilet!?! There was a mirror in the middle of the shelving unit that was just always in the way! Too clever for its own good.

It is our second time staying in this hotel and might not be the last. This time it was really quick, only for one night, so we did not take advantage of all the hotel has to offer unfortunately like last time. The room was smaller than last time, with view at the internal garden, but we did not mind that as it was only for the night. We would have preferred a larger room in case we were staying for 5-6 nights like last time! The cleanliness standard hasn't changed thankfully! The staff, as always with a smile, and the guy at the bar was lovely.

The check in was horribly slow. We had to wait a painful amount of time that was unacceptable in all honesty. Dressed for December in Madrid, with heat blasting, absolutely tired, and we had to wait for what probably was half an hour... We came in at 6pm, not at the normal time of the check in. It was absurd. Hopefully it was a one time thing :) but as an advice, you should be able to use TWO computers for check in, not just one. right after us the manager brought her laptop to do the check in for some girls behind us but seriously? She couldn't do it before?? When the reception clearly has two computers anyway.

❶ Excellent location! If you don't want to spend a lot of time on the road every day, this hotel is your best bet. Also, the neighbourhood atmosphere is exceptionally good. ❷ The hotel is exquisitely decorated! The rooftop terrace caught my eye and impressed me. (The pool is small and more decorative than practical, it doesn'tmatter for me). ❸ The service was perfect! From the reception to the restaurant, every staff member was full of enthusiasm and made you feel at home!

❶ The rooms are small. For one person staying it was considered barely adequate, two people would probably feel cramped and have trouble unpacking their suitcases. ❷ The design of the washstand is not good. It is easy to spill water on the floor when washing up. ❸ The price of breakfast could be a bit cheaper.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! Everything was excellent. The property was extremely clean, the breakfast was delicious with plenty of options, and the location was perfect for exploring the area. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive, always checking in to ensure we had everything we needed. The rooms were beautifully designed and comfortable. A special thanks to Daniel at the reception, who went above and beyond to assist us during our stay. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its outstanding service and great experience!

The only downside is that the rooms are quite small, especially considering the price, though they were impeccably clean. For this reason, I would rate it a 9 out of 10.

Exceptional Hospitality and 5-Star Service! I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and I can't express how impressed I was with the entire experience. They were not only professional but also incredibly friendly, always ready to assist with any questions or requests I had. Their dedication to making guests feel comfortable and valued truly sets this hotel apart. Cleanliness is another area where this hotel shines. The rooms and common areas were immaculate, which is especially important in today's world. The location was great. The staff were supportive and kind. Very well maintained , modern and clean room / they were tidying up the room every day /.

Although we new the room was small it came as a little surprise how compact is it. However that itself is not an issue, even though we are not greatest fans of transparent bathroom walls. What was rather uncomfortable for us was the round LED light in front of the mirror in the tiny toilet. Because of it every time you wash your face or brush the teeth you are also washing your foots.

The location was great, a little off the main tourist craziness, but this was a good thing in our view. The hotel itself was clean, modern, and we were very satisfied. We had a courtyard view and really enjoyed the mural on the opposite wall and views down to the restaurant terrace life and planting below.

I read the many reviews mentioning the rooms being small and being Europeans figured this likely wasn't going to bother us, however they are probably the smallest rooms I've experienced in a European hotel. You need to store your small suitcase under the bed to be able to walk around the bed. Also the shower opens out into the room where you need to towel off afterwards. The wash hand basin in the bathroom "cubicle" feels awkwardly recessed. Literally everything is on the limit of having enough space to just be usable. It's the only issue we had with this hotel. Having said that, we got on with it and adapted our usage patterns to suit and it faded away. However a less flexible couple with more luggage would definitely struggle here. Despite this, our trip was fab.

Everything we could wish for! Akeah Hotel Gran Via is one of the best hotels I have been so far. In general, the locals are very friendly and easy going but the staff in the hotel is above exeptional - they are positive, always smilling and happy to meet all of your needs, talkative and hardworking. On our first day we asked for a towels at the reception because we wanted to swim in the heated pool and the receptionist asked for my room number so they can provide towels for us. By the time we reached our room with the elevator the towels were already left in the room and we were very grateful for the fast delivery. I also had a special request during my reservation for champions league football match tickets between Real Madrid vs Leipzig and the receptionist organized everything and found the tickets for us. The rooms were very clean and modern, although some people say that they are a bit tiny i find them okay since you are going for a trip for a several days or weeks. The food in the restaurant is various and tasty we couldn’t get enought of it. I didn’t saw any of the employees scrolling on their phones or not doing their job, everyone was filled with love and discipline. To sum up, we are more than happy to stay at this hotel during our visit in Madrid, kind appreciation to the all employees, the manager of the hotel and the owner of the hotel, everything is conteptual and well organized. And the location is exquisite, close to everything by foot. I would definitly stay again at this hotel if i have chance to come again in Madrid. ❤️

Really convenient location for all that we wanted to do in Madrid. Metro station is 2 minutes away so handy for getting to other areas of Madrid. Also convenient for cafes and bars in Malasana which is a really cool area.

Could have done with more storage space as no cupboards to store clothes. Room also quite small although clean and comfortable. Also issues with drains in bathroom, as there was a nasty smell, but maintenance came within 5 minutes of us reporting issue to reception to sort out problem.

Excellent location accessible to Gran Via but also Malasaña. Kind staff. Comfortable bed. Good water pressure.

Crass, juvenile double entendre branding of just about everything at the property. Perhaps a sign by the toilet saying “if it’s brown flush that s*** down” amuses some guests but it didn’t land well with me. Room was absolutely TINY and quite cramped. But clean.
