What we liked most where the staff. They are so friendly and always happy to help. Dayanna, Carmen and Kevin at the reception. 10 out of 10 for the kindness and friendliness, they can't do enough for you. And now to the bar staff, again 10 out of 10 , these guys rock!!!! Shout out to Raico, Carmelo, Javier, Luis and Christian. They are amazing. Always making sure you have a great time and are just awesome. Don't wait and book your next trip to Gran Canaria at the AxelBeach Hotel. The location is great, only a few minutes walk to the Yumbo Center. The breakfast had a good choice of cold and warm options. If you needed anything, the crew is quick to help. Rooms was always super clean and very spacious and the shower is amazing!!! Rainshowerhead and normal with great water pressure. All in all, highly recommend!!!! Can't wait to go back.

The only thing we would like to suggest is, please heat the pool as it was far to cold to get in.

Location couldn't be better with its proximity to the Yumbo, ATM at the door and supermarket 3 min walk. Reception staff very pleasant every time we passed as were the cleaners. Skybar perhaps a little pricey for some things but the food and snacks were tasty and the staff were really friendly and I loved being called Mr Cappuccino. Nice having the DJ on site two days as well

Balcony door needed oiled. Probably should have mentioned but you forget these things on holiday! The filling of the fridge with things to buy was overkill and somewhat unnecessary though I guess some visitors like that kind of thing.

Spacious and large room, the location is clearly one of the most convenient for fully enjoying the nightlife of Playa del Inglés. Every morning, the cleaning staff are always impeccable in making the beds and changing the bathroom linens. Kevin and the reception staff are always kind and courteous. The Pool Party organized by Lucky DJ on January 1st was amazing, with excellent music. See you soon!

Perhaps the price is particularly high compared to the local average. It would be nice if it were illuminated at night, like many other establishments, to make it more visible and pleasing to the eye, given the prominence of the Axel brand.

The hotel has a central location, not far away from Yumbo Center. The room I had was spacious with the balcony and the view to the pool. The pool area and its surroundings provide different leisure facilities. The water in the pool was freezing, but as for me it was ok. There was poolside entertainment provided nearly every day. The team of the hotel was very friendly, kind and helpful. Special thanks to Raico, Cristian, Carmelo and Carmen.

Very expensive at this season. The hotel needs to be a bit renovated. It was said at the information leaflet that the air conditioner was not designed to work as a central heater, so it was off and it was pretty cold inside the room after dark.

Great location for all the Pride and other Yumbo Centre activities. Smart apartment with spacious kitchen/lounge area, big balcony overlooking the pool, kitchenette has all you need. Aircon works well. Some hot pool parties at the hotel while we were there! We had a lot of fun… Staff throughout are great, from room cleaning to breakfast and pool bar, front desk very helpful. Particular shout outs to Rayco & Dayanna. We’re looking forward to coming back soon!

Bed mattress is a bit firm for our taste. TV could have a few more English speaking channels, maybe but tbh you don’t come out here to sit inside and watch telly!

We booked in christmas time. The hotel is very close to Yumbo and there are parties with DJ in weekend. There is a big swiming pool outside , spa area. Rayco and Carmelo from the bar and breakfast are very kind and friendly. Cleaning is very good and daily. Reception team is also profesional ( especially Alex) . The apartament is big enough and clean. Bed is big and comfortable for an excelent sleep during night time.

As an advise, the rooms should be refurnished and become more modern. Nothing is broken, but you feel like in a hotel from the 2000's.

The staff is amiable and helpful. They always try to help you with the majority of requests. My special thanks go to Kevin at the reception. The water in the pool is refreshing, not for everyone l, but I loved that. The gym is well equipped. I was able to continue with my daily workout routine, which was great.

The rooms are old. Even they did some renovations. The bar is not open in the evening hours, which is a bit weird because I would expect the opposite. They still use cards as room keys. I suggest to upgrade and start using bracelets. The kitchen needs an upgrade. I ordered chicken with rice. It was the work meal I've ever had. On the other hand, the tuna salad was OK, but generally speaking, do something with the food and the menu. I'm sure you can do a better job. Amenities - The bath mat was missing. You get only a small shower gel, shampoo and body lotion. It’s sometimes about a cleaner hunting to get what you need.

It’s rare to find such dedicated and caring staff who genuinely love what they do. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the beach and close to all the fun spots in Maspalomas. Whether you’re looking for relaxation or excitement, this hotel has it all. I can’t wait to return and would highly recommend Hotel Axel Maspalomas to anyone looking for a memorable stay.

The hotel is great. It's a fabulous location not too far away from the Yumbo Centre whilst at the same time being close to other nearby restaurants. The rooms are spacious, clean and have everything that is needed. Alvaro & the reception team were a delight to interact with and were always very helpful, and the housekeeping team were similarly always very nice and went out of their way to be helpful. The bathroom is spacious and the shower excellent, the bed large and comfy. The pool was also great - when it's a bit warmer out, it's really refreshing to go for a dip, but also the area is a definite sun trap and with the music and easy bar access it makes for a fabulous time sunbathing most afternoons!

There's not much not to like. I think the rooms can be a little dark at times as there is little overhead lighting but honestly this is very minor, especially as it's normally always sunny so you can get plenty of natural light in

The hotel was nice and welcoming. Dayana at reception was especially helpful and kind, as were all the staff, including the bartenders and cleaners—really lovely team overall. I loved the large swimming pool, but it’s a shame that the area is so dark at night. They should add more lighting to make it more inviting for cocktails or dinner by the pool—it feels too quiet in the evenings.

The rooms are spacious but could use some improvements, as the overall hotel feels a bit dated and in need of renovation. For the rate charged, better facilities would make it feel more worthwhile
