After staying in a small arbnb in Madrid we had low expectations of this place and as we got closer and closer our expectations lowered even more, Old Toledo is built on top of a mountain and we were on what was like the foothill below he mountain in an old ruin and as we road up this narrow cobble stone street looking at what appeared to original buildings still inhabited just as some were abandoned. We stopped at one of the old stone buildings that lined the street and put in our passcode and walked into another world. A cool, modern, beautiful world, front room a lounge with a central atriem on the next step to spacious rooms awaiting that are just as beautiful (many of the walls still with the original rock)

That they were sold out. we could not stay beyond what we had reserved. It was the perfect point in which to explore old Toledo, a short walk took you to a series of escalaters that lead to the central plaza in the heart of old Toledo, with many cafes and restaurants along the way. I am 81 and slow and was very grateful to the maid that was cleaning the rooms. She explained to us how everything worked. I forget her name but she was from Venezuela. Please thank her for me if you see her.

It’s good value for money, you get what you pay for. We did not see any staff while we stayed here as they sent us a code to the property and the room before our arrival, this suited us as we checked in online. The room was clean enough, although the bathroom was a little bit dated which gave the impression it needed a better clean but can’t complain for the price we paid. Location was quite central and not far from the town centre although it was down a hill so maybe not the best if you don’t like walking in the heat.

Air conditioning wasn’t great

This is a nice hostel without any reception. When you book you get an entry code to the building and the room. The room we had was clean, had a comfortable bed, nice shower and a small terrace. The hostal is located a short walk from one of the entrance gates to the city. There is parking on the street (orange zone, you have to pay in the machine!) or free parking 10 mins. away.

Safety wise, you depend on the other guests to close the front door, not everybody checks that it is really closed.

Superbly well decorated, relaxed. Also, self check in is easy and neatly working.

Toilet paper quality is not identical of what the hotel offers. Which is really a minor thing. ;) Also, for those who come from abroad if you don’t have access to internet, get your check in instructions earlier than your arrival. You won’t have a wifi access until you get inside to your room.

Really beautiful hostal, the design is stunning. I had a small single room and it was perfect size for my solo trip into Toledo. Wifi was good, AC worked well, great shower with plenty of hot water and nice toiletries. Self check-in and out was very easy and convenient. The location is outside of the city in a quiet residential area - be ready to walk about 15 minutes to get into Old Town.

Bed was hard and pretty uncomfortable. Also would have appreciated a guidebook of local recommendations and tips, especially as there is nobody available at the property to ask these kinds of questions.

Good location near the escalator. Clean comfortable room

The flashing blue light from the internet box in the corner was terrible in the dark and made it difficult to sleep. I also had to disconnect the TV because of the powerful blue light. Also I could hear the people in the next room talking until 2 in the morning.

Easy to book & says its a Hostel but is a very nice set of hotel like rooms with own bathroom & ours had a terrace. Easy to find on the edge of the city.

No issues & would stay again. There was roadworks on the street & a bit of walking required but sure they will be finished soon.

Attractive rooms and entrance. Close to restaurants and bars.

There was no one on staff. Calle Azacanes is on a very steep road which might be a problem for some guests. Coffee, tea was not replaced after the first night. The walls are thin.

The location is close to the center and easy to reach from the train station. Communication with the property was straightforward, and the access 24 hours to the hotel/room with a PIN code was excellent. The room is quite good, with beautiful high ceilings.

The bedroom walls are like paper, we could hear the guy next to us snoring all night, so if that bothers you then don't stay here, so much money must have been put into this hotel it's a shame they didn't put thicker walls it felt like the couple next door were sharing our room
