This is a really beautiful hotel in a central location. The buildings, the room were all excellent. The outdoor pool was a godsend in the city heat. Although we only took a drink there the restaurant space was beautiful and the guests we spoke with rated it highly. Access to the city centre is just a short walk away.

Given what I have written above its hard to make the following comments but our visit here was spoilt by the breakfast which is laid out over a space the size of 3 tennis courts. there was no staff to indicate what was going on, a single Tassimo coffee machine to supply all the guests and a distinct lack of food or service (staff who seemed not to want to be there) which made for a chaotic breakfast. Maybe we were just unlucky but it left a poor impression on what was otherwise a fantastic hotel.

The night receptionist and one of the female day receptionists were very welcoming. The grounds of the hotel are awesome and the hotel is in a great postion for visiting Toledo.

The other receptionists were very unhappy looking. When we arrived the receptionist looked at us, but did not acknowledge us. Then she spoke to 2 other people and went off to do other things. 5 mins later she said Hello, and booked us in. The young man in charge of breakfast was in no hurry to replenish the hot milk, tomato, fresh fruit or anything else he was asked for by guests (all in Spanish)

The Location, the authentic charm of decor and the professional and attentive staff. We were always greeted and everything we needed was always made available to us with friendly smiles. From the reception staff, to the housekeeping staff to the gardeners. The most gracious hosts in all of Spain. And the location could not be better!

The breakfast servers were sweet but seemed overwhelmed and disorganized. There needs to be a server just for attending the buffet table, keeping tabs on what is running low and helping people with serving. Then there should be a runner as well as someone else just clearing and setting tables. Needs more organization.

Great location at the city wall around the old city, walking distance to many monuments and city sightseeing bus stop is just in front. The view from the room and the pool area of the old city was amazing with the Parroquia de Santiago el Mayor, a magnificent church with Islamic architectural element. The garden is an oasis with various shades of green. Everything is decorated with sense for beauty, though not everything is for everybody's taste. Receptionist was very kind and helpful, and answered all our requests swiftly. Restaurant In the garden is worth trying.

The swimming pools (there are two) were too shallow and not for real swimming, though good for a cool bathing. The pool water could have been cleaner.

Stunning old hacienda. Combines an old part and an exclusive looking new section which was very well done and in keeping with the old hacienda. Has a lovely shaded courtyard with fountain.

Old decaying furniture left around on the terrace. Part of the courtyard yard was disused with furniture to shoved to one side with a gorgeous looking outside bar that appeared to be permanently shut. There was no where to order drinks or snacks other than the formal restaurant which was not always open. The hotel was clearly very lightly staffed, but those that were there were fabulous. Breakfast bread/tortilla was replaced very slowly.

The hotel itself is beautiful. The setting was gorgeous. The staff were helpful and pleasant. The AC worked well. The place was clean and the breakfast had a pretty good spread. The location was pretty close to the old town of Toledo, 5 minute walk, but there are hills.

The breakfast said it started at 8am. We arrived at 5 past 8 both mornings but all the food was not brought out until 8.30. Just say breakfast starts at 8.30, or have the kitchen/staff start earlier. We needed to be gone early, so this was pretty inconvenient. It's only a small thing, but it could be so easily fixed. The rooms were pretty basic, beds ok, and the pool was tiny. We didn't have dinner/lunch here so can't comment.

The place is beautiful, it starts already at the entrance. Then you enter the garden where the bodega and restaurant are located. You enter the old part of the hotel via a tunnel and elevator. The old part is full of charm. I haven't seen any of the rooms, but the atmosphere is the hallways tell a story. After check-in, we went to the new part, and there is a completely different vibe. Very modern but well mixed with some of the old elements, very nice. The room is very spacious..

Not much actually, if there is a downside, it would be a lot of walking from the room to any place in the hotel.

The hotel is obviously undergoing a very positive transformation. The changes are NOT impacting customers at all but we could see some amazing new additions that weren’t shown in photos when we booked. The new pool area and breakfast facility are outstanding. Our room had an amazing view and a lovely balcony. Very special. Walking distance to everything and a public car park metres away - with a discounted rate. Def recommend you stay.

Service at dinner could have been better (understaffed?) The food was adequate rather than outstanding at both dinner and breakfast.

The kind and helpful staff. The building itself, which is very intriguing, historic and impressive, from the street entrance to the historic furnishings you encounter exploring the corridors. It is located very close to the escalator that lifts you into the historic city centre with a public car park right outside the entrance. The room was big, comfortable and warm. (It was quite cold outside during our stay.) The breakfast was very good, too ! ..

With tea making facilities in the room our stay would have been perfect !

The hotel is stunningly beautiful. The staff very firnedly and helpful. The room was spacious, comfortable, very clean, located in the new wing of the hotel across the pool. Happy the AC worked perfectly because Toledo is very hot. The pool is small but cozy. The breakfast was great and the rstaurant staff very friendly.

There is no room service and no service at the pool, its nice to be able to have a drink by the pool and its a long walk from the bar to the pool (they are basically in two different buildings). Everything else was great!!
