The accomodation is great! It feels like a little paradise. It is a bit further from the main center, but you can ask for a tuktuk and it takes you 15 minutes to get there. For me it was a perfect spot to relax and reset. There is a pool with view and the rice fields. The room is very spacious and clean. The badroom is very big with a bathtub and a big tv in the room + AC. The staff is very helpful. Shout out to one of the guys at the reception. His English wasnt great but he always helped with a smile.

There are some construction works at the moment and the restaurant is not open, but they will finish this soon. So you can eat at the accomodation. It looked like it was almost finished.

The room, especially the bathroom, is incredibly spacious. The staff members were friendly and accommodating. While the breakfast options were limited, the quality was good. If you plan to stay for an extended period, the breakfast might become repetitive. Since we only stayed for two days, we were satisfied with what was offered

The area behind the house is farmland, so there may be a lot of flies, especially at night. Please make sure to close all the windows after sunset. there are many street dogs in this area, if you are not comfortable with this then not recommending to go for any evening/night walks

Stunning place but it was very empty when we were there - maybe only one or two other couples in the whole hotel. Food was great but note a huge menu but still very delicious. We loved the pool and the room was great!

It did feel quite far from the sigariya town and there is nothing else around the hotel so it felt a little bit isolated but still a beautiful place to stay. As it was quiet (I think it was the off season July) it was lacking a bit of atmosphere for us but we still really enjoyed our stay!

Spectacular setting and location. The view from the suites and pool is incredible. The design is modern and good. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and honestly what we loved most about this place. They really welcomed us, a male couple, and made us feel very comfortable there. The food is overall good. A few menu items could be improved but there is really good variety.

Some minor maintenance issues only a problem if you are really picky or don’t require 4 stars to have a good vacation. The food service was very slow and the dishes are somewhat pricey for what they are. But if you can handle these things, we are all of our meals here and were overall satisfied.

- the staff is not suited to property. Level of quality of service was not reflective of the property being offered, - two times we asked for a breakfast at particular hour and it was delivered late about 30 minutes, - average quality of dishes, - at the end of our stay we were asked to pay an extra 10% “service charge” (for whole accommodation price) that was not included and even not mentioned on the Booking. After call to the manager we didn’t pay but bad impression stayed.

We had a great time at the Hanthana House! The staff was really friendly and helpful. I’m celiac, but there where no problem fixing gluten-free food for breakfast and dinner. They made some delicious homemade curry’s for us in the evening, and the breakfast was also great. The room had a nice view overlooking the forest. The owner, Pati, took us for a sunset hike in the neighborhood, with an amazing view. Would recommend to stay here!

The breakfast was fantastic, with a variety of fresh and delicious options. The location is perfect, offering stunning views of Sigiriya Rock and Pidurangala Rock, making it ideal for sightseeing and relaxation. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, enhancing the overall experience.

Honestly, there wasn't much to dislike.

The view from our room was out of the world! This is thee place to go to if youre looking for some peace of mind with so many attractions around. Not even an hour after arriving we booked an additional night because of how beautiful this place was. The room was also very luxurious in compared to the price! As well as the service! Lion specifically was very helpful throughout our stay. All in all our stay was memorable and we would definitely visit again!

We loved our stay here in April. We arrived later in the evening and the staff were more than happy to arrange dinner for us and prepare the swimming pool for us to take an evening swim. The room felt luxurious with a very comfortable bed and large bathroom. Rooms have an incredible view to wake up to of Sigiriya and the surrounding are very peaceful. We would most definitely revisit if we returned to Sri Lanka. The service from the staff really made our stay incredible.
