Location - amazing, in the middle of the jungle. Keep in mind that it's quite far from the city, however very close to good viewpoints of Sigiriya rock. Staff- extremely nice and helpful. Food - you don't have to go to the city for food, you can order something at the place. Everything was delicious. Price - reasonable for what you get. Houses - very comfortable, nice and clean. It was an unbelievable experience, which we expected and were looking forward to, however remember that you're in the jungle and tree house is quite exposed, you might expect bugs or monkeys to come into the house. You have to keep your things in the drawers and if you're extremely afraid of being in the forest at night, this might not be a place for you.

The most amazing hidden gem! If you’re looking for a jungle hideaway then this is for you! You really experience the full jungle experience. The staff were so friendly and always there to help. Super close to the Rocks too! A short Tuk Tuk ride to the restaurants/bars/shops. Our driver from the airport Mahinda was great and helped us to get around sigiriya and arranged a fabulous visit to a village where we watched a lovely lady prepare us lunch, which was yummy! If you want anything other than water/coffee then bring your own :-) but that wasn’t a problem at all! The negative comments regarding frogs/bugs etc, then I suggest you choose a city break over Sri Lanka as this is the beauty of their country.

A beautiful tree house in the rainforest. It was a great escape from reality. Close tuk tuk ride into Sigiriya town and walking distance to Pidurangala. One of the hotel staff was lovely enough to take us to Lions rock via tuk tuk at 04:45am for sunrise hike. He then came back a few hours later to collect us. We had dinner at the hotel which was nice, they even made me a meal specifically gluten free after I showed my allergen card earlier in the day which I really appreciated. The tree house was amazing and definitely recommend this place as it is a fantastic experience.

Our mosquito net around the bed had a few holes in it so some insects got into the bed. They do not offer any drinks other than water with dinner, this is not necessarily an issue for us as we got a short tuk tuk into Sigiriya for some juice however there was no pre warning of this.

A unique experience of sleeping in the jungle which is hard to rate. The place was surprisingly clean considering it's an open space inside the jungle. The monkeys are coming inside the house every morning and trying to find some food wherever they can, which I suppose can be both positive and negative, depending on the individuals. We found it funny :) The staff and breakfast were great. Perfect experience for nature lovers.

Expected things, such as a lot of mosquitos and insects of all types. Our bed sheets and luggage were wet all of the time, but also a thing that is expected when sleeping in such a place. No internet or signal coverage in the house (there is some at the reception). Not safe to walk around at night since the elephants and other animals are crossing the roads.

The tree house accommodation blends in very well with the jungle, is open to the elements and very cool. Really nice to be so close to the elements, yet protected. High off the ground, solid waterproof roof, great bug nets. Slept really well listening to the rain and sounds of the forest. Nice breakfast, nicer staff, really kind and friendly

Dogs, I hate dogs and I don’t think any resort should be able to call itself an eco property when they have multiple mutts thrashing around in the jungle barking and growling at the wildlife

Fantastic place, would go back in a heartbeat! The place blends perfectly with the nature and at the same time you have all the luxuries you need. we stayed at the treehouse and cannot recommend it more, we loved it. It's obviously an indoor-outdoor vibe, you hear the animals all night long, but what better way to experience the nature. The room is super spacious, the bed have protection against insects. The bathroom was a dream, again the indoor-outdoor vibe was wonderful! The food was delicious and the service fantastic. It's a 5min walk to start of the Pidurangala rock, and if you like a good walk also relatively close to Lion's rock (can also rent a bike, we forgot to do it)

Staying in the tree house was fantastic, one of the best experiences. Loved the jungle and feeling part of it. The staff was super helpful and made us feel very welcome, they offer so many unique activities (with fair prices). We never thought we would end seeing Loris! 🤩 Food was also fantastic, we wanted to eat Sri Lankan food and they offered us something different every day, always tasty. They accommodated my gluten-issues perfectly too. ah! and they even helped us sort out transport! We couldn't ask for more. I keep this place well saved.

Staying in an open air treehouse in the middle of the jungle was one of the highlights of our trip for this family of four. We were nervous at first about the lack of air conditioning and the number of insects we might encounter in our room, but after three nights, we felt pretty comfortable and at ease about it all. The fan kept things relatively cool at night, and we didn't see too many insects in our room. The staff was lovely and the food was excellent throughout our stay. We were so impressed by the responsiveness of the restaurant staff to our needs (we drank A LOT of water!) We ate both breakfast and dinner here every day. The night walk to see the slender grey loris was one of the highlights of our stay. I am sure that this type of accommodation isn't for everyone. You have to be prepared for the heat and the bugs, but the quiet and relaxation and natural surroundings made a little discomfort worth it. If you are concerned about the heat, we did spend an afternoon at a local resort with a pool to cool off, which was a nice break for us. :)

I booked the hotel based on a recommendation of a friend as she said it was a unique experience and i was not disappointed - the staff is truly wonderful and the tree houses were amazing - they are completely open so you‘d think you feel exposed but not at all. I also felt very safe and secure although i was travelling alone - the staff also sleeps on the premises and is always nearby. This was the most expensive accommodation i booked during my trip and i do think its worth it due to its uniqueness and the dedication of the staff - i also went on the loris night time walk and it was quite nice, we saw quite a few loris, one event very close but its priced at 35 USD so it‘s definitely not something for everyone‘s budget…the location is also great if you wanna do the sunrise pidurangula hike as its very close by (walking distance even). Overall, it was a great stay and i would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a unique experience!!

We chose to stay in the tree house for one night and although we knew what we were buying into we were enlightened by the experience. The tree house was clean, comfortable and spacious. The location is great as it’s close to Sigirya rock and the surrounding villages. The sounds of the wildlife while laying in bed in complete darkness is definitely an experience we would recommend and we feel that Back of Beyond is the perfect place for this!

Maybe due to the time but the shower had no hot water around 10pm.
