The place has a lovely feel to it. It’s a bit off the main drag but only a 10-15 min walk or a 300 LKR tuk tuk and it means your hidden away in a jungle like setting, that aside from the occasional rooster is very quiet. Rooms are spacious and great air conditioning and the pool is fantastic. There aren’t a lot of rooms so it never got crowded by the pool or noisy. It’s not high-end but that’s also part of the charm. The owners brother also comes around and gives you his WhatsApp number as he runs a tuk tuk service- so super easy to get around. He even took us to Kandy at a very reasonable rate.
The wifi didn’t work for about half the time we were there and despite looking like they had satellite tv none of that was working either (no major issue on either but looked like it could be fixed easily). The shower in the room had very little pressure and only came around once in three days to do room service (again not a major issue for us). Would be nice to have a restaurant on site but again no major as so many close by! All little things I’m sure they’ll continue to improve over time as it looks like they are making improvements throughout the property. Overall a great place with lovely vibe.

Beautiful little family-run hotel. Rooms are gorgeous (ask for the one with the beaut little private pool!). Set in lush grounds where we saw bats at night, a Sri Lankan giant squirrel and plenty of birds. The pool area is outstanding for swimming or relaxing.
The only thing they need to work on is getting the food a bit better sorted. The rice and curry dinner was pretty good but breakfast took forever and trying to order from the pool bar got as far as smoothies but no food was forthcoming… but hey you can do a lot worse than sitting around a nice pool with a fresh lime smoothie even without fries 😊 I’d definitely go back for the setting, the rooms and the charm.

The resort is located in a wonderful and peaceful area, making it the perfect spot for relaxation. Everything was impeccably clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. The pool area is thoughtfully designed, with plenty of places to lounge and sit, offering both comfort and convenience. The breakfasts were delicious, with a variety of options to satisfy every taste. Above all, the hotel staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, adding a warm and welcoming touch to the entire experience. Highly recommended! We loved the pool and area around it with lots of options for sitting and relaxing. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. It’s a family run business with the other two brothers running the resort and the younger brother running transport and activities. We booked an elephant safari through the resort and it was incredible. Our guide was chatting and made the experience fantastic. Room was spacious and clean. We would come again and recommend others stay.
There isn’t a shower curtain which makes the floor wet but this might be a Sri Lankan thing as other places also haven’t had curtains. The shower pressure was very weak, again, this might be common.

Here’s a polished review for Palmyra Nature Resort Sigiriya: We had a wonderful stay at Palmyra Nature Resort Sigiriya! The rooms were impeccably clean and well-appointed, and the resort’s jungle setting provided the perfect backdrop for a peaceful and restful night’s sleep. Its location is fantastic—so close to the Sigiriya Rock Fortress (Lion’s Rock), making it an ideal spot for exploring the area. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. My husband accidentally left his passport behind, and they immediately messaged us when they found it, which we really appreciated. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, with a great selection to start the day. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to use the pool or explore the grounds since this was just a quick stop for us, but everything looked beautiful, and it’s clearly a place that would be perfect for a longer stay. Highly recommend!

The resort is set in the jungle with a nice pool area, surrounded by monkeys. Close distance to the village and great restaurants you can walk it takes around 15 minutes or get a tuk tuk. We arranged tuk tuks through the resort which were very reasonable by the owners brother and we also decided to get a tuk tuk ride to Kandy instead of the bus. We booked jeep safari as well through them which we weren't going to do in Sigiriya as we didn't realise it was the place to see elephants. The prices was good and we got it cheaper as 2 others came as well, its so worth doing it in Minneriya national park as we saw lots of elephants! Really close to lion's rock as well! We really enjoyed our stay here and our time in Sigiriya it's a quiet authentic village which hasn't been hit too much but tourism which I really liked!
For the price I think breakfast should be included I didn't realise this until we checked out, I think I just presumed it would be as it's not the cheapest accommodation!

Lovely big room with clean linens, good aircon and large bathroom. Pleasant pool in a peaceful location. Located a couple of hundred metres down a track from the main road. Short 500 rupee Tuk Tuk to Sigiriya Rock entrance.
There is no bar as advertised, it only sells one alcoholic drink (Mojito)? No beer and all the spirit bottles displayed are empty ??? No menu for anything although apparently there were snacks available ? There is no restaurant as advertised. When we arrived we had to go back out to get something to eat. The staff are very pleasant but it’s all a bit chaotic, a few simple signs/information would help. Breakfast was very pleasant with a big spread of the usual fruit, jam, pancakes, eggs and toast with a lovely fruit smoothie.

This is a quiet little oasis with lovely cabins and a nice pool and outdoor bar. It is comfortable, clean and relatively close to some restaurants, although the pool bar does a limited range of food. Owner is very helpful and they are expanding the business with more accommodation.
Staff need a lot of training, 35 mins to make 2 club sandwiches and 30 mins for one cocktail and 50 mins for the other, with no one else being served! Laundry, which they do, was scrunched up and returned in a bag very hot and damp and creased beyond recognition (nightmare). Young lad offered to iron shirts but clearly had never wielded an iron before and put the most incredible creases into the most amazing places - quite bizarre.

Lovely little piece of tropical paradise. Very friendly & attentive staff. The room was large, clean & comfortable with great air con! The pool area was just gorgeous with a little swim up bar (not manned all the time) Lovely little rustic pods dotted around the pool where you can sit in the shade & read. Great breakfast too. Obviously a family business which they are very proud of & work hard to keep it looking so lovely. A short walk to a nice restaurant called Come & Taste or just walk to the end of the road to pick up a tuk tuk to the local town where there are lots of restaurants, cafes, a couple of grocery stores, atms and plenty of places to book a safari to see the local wild elephants. Recommended.
Nothing!

Beautiful surroundings, quiet and amazing pool area and walkways, with nice little cosy snugs for sitting. Unfortunately we didn't get to use the outside space as we had a fleeting visit and up early to climb Sigiriya rock but I'm sure they would have been wonderful. We arrived at 7.30pm, so it was quite dark and on arrival wasn't too sure where to pull up however the owner came out to help with bags and show us to our apartment. Unfortunately there wasn't evening meal options other than stir fry rice so we walked to a nearby restaurant. The room was tidy, clean and had everything you'd need such as air con, WiFi, tea/coffee facilities and shower worked fine. The bed was large, wasn't the most comfortable we've stayed on so far but perfectly fine for a night. I would advice getting there before dark so you can familiarise yourself with your surroundings and have time to settle/use the outside space before dinner. Breakfast was good, we arrived to be seated around 7am, our order was taken about 7.30 and arrived around 15 mins after but that's because they clearly prepare every order fresh and for each individual table. We weren't in a rush so it was okay. Lots of lovely nature around, monkeys, mongoose and frogs so a great place to just take in the surroundings.
More of a heads up for people arriving in the evening - the only option for dinner at the hotel was stir-fry rice, so it would be nice if this was an option for the future, especially for those arriving late and new to the area like us. No offer of a drink on arrival like other places we stayed and no mini bar in the apartment however given the price of this hotel we felt it was really great value and no complaints.
