Location, location, location! This gem of a lodge, nestled in the beautiful and tranquil area of Aeschi bei Spiez is close enough to the much visited Interlaken area to easily reach within 20minutes, but far enough to escape the hordes of tourists that overcrowd the Interlaken valley. The views from the lodge, as well as from the private balconies of each room, are spectacular! This family owned and operated lodge has been recently renovated with beautiful cozy, yet modern, interiors featuring wooded decor and brand new furnishings/fixtures. Our host, Celine, was so friendly, kind, and personable! We didn't even realize she was the owner until we stared talking about the history of the lodge, which was built by her grandfather. Celine treated us like family, and even made dinner reservations for us at a nearby excellent restaurant. Our breakfast was amazing, along with the service. I highly recommend Bergblick Lodge for the perfect escape to the foothills of the picturesque Bernese Alps!

Wish we would have planned a longer stay.

This place exceeded our expectations—it’s even better than the photos! The region is absolutely stunning, surrounded by beautiful mountains, and the breakfast area offers a breathtaking view while you enjoy delicious local food. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean, and there’s plenty of parking available at the accommodation. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the entire place was beautifully decorated for Christmas, which added a magical touch to our stay. They even prepare fresh eggs for you at breakfast! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely return!

This hotel is in a beautiful traditional chalet in the countryside with mountain views in all directions, making you feel you are in the heart of the Alps. The rooms have recently been renovated and are very modern inside, with clean and comfortable furnishings. Breakfast is provided and is full of many Swiss meats and cheeses, all from the local area and delicious. The host Céline is very personable and was willing to assist with anything from hiking suggestions to general information. She and her staff have really made this stay memorable. It's also close to the action with Lake Thun, Interlaken and the Jungfrau mountains all a short distance away. And it's easily reachable by bus a short distance to the station. Overall I highly recommended the Bergblick Hotel and will certainly consider staying here again next time I am in Switzerland!

There is a bus service to the hotel but it does not run very late. A more frequent bus service stops 15 minutes away in the village centre however, but it's not ideal with a lot of luggage.

I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights with my dog. I luckily got upgraded room to a larger, direct access to the terrace. It was very spacious, bed mattress was new and comfortable, all the facilities were renovated so the cleanliness was excellent. The surrounding view was exceptionally beautiful, and there were plenty of walking courses. Breakfast was made with local ingredients which is great,small but filling. All the staff were friendly, especially the owner, Celine. She was very professional and friendly. Thank you for her warm hospitality.

Our stay at the charming cottage in Bergblick Lodge - 3 Sterne Garni - Neueröffnung was nothing short of perfect. The cottage itself was immaculate, combining traditional alpine charm with modern comforts. Nestled amidst breathtaking landscapes, it was the ideal retreat for anyone looking to escape into nature while still enjoying all the amenities of a high-end stay. Céline, our host, truly elevated the experience. Her deep knowledge of the local attractions helped us discover hidden gems that we would have otherwise missed. From scenic hikes to quaint villages, her recommendations were spot-on and made our trip unforgettable. Her parents were equally wonderful, offering warm hospitality that made us feel like part of the family. They were always ready with a friendly smile, eager to ensure that every detail of our stay was perfect. Their love for the region was infectious, and it was clear that they took great pride in maintaining the cottage to the highest standards.

Really nice place to spend some time close by to all the attractions of the "Berner Oberland". Celine offered us a upgrade to a more comfortable room ... with a nice balcony and a view into the surrounding nature, totally quiet, and with almost all comfort (see below). Breakfast in the morning in an amazing room with a stunning view on the famous Niesen - the mountain just oposite of Aeschi. On the buffet you can find a large variety of local specialities; including a homemade "Birchermüesli" (delicious!). Celine gives you all the tips to spend some really nice time in the surroundings. A place worth to go ...

The staff were very welcoming and everything was explained upon arrival. We prefer to stay in smaller towns and this suited perfectly. Beautiful views from the room and convenient to tourist places. The staff recommended a restaurant just down the road, and the meal was delicious. Breakfast was basic but well prepared. Renovations have been carried out recently and the smell of timber was still there and reminded us of home and beautifully done. Congratulations.

Nothing really. The room we had was a good size but the shower a little small for a bigger person but would still return.

It would make a big difference to have window screens that will add fresh and cool air to the room without the fear of insects entrance

We recently stayed at the Bergblick Lodge in Aeschi near Spiez, and it was an unforgettable experience. The location is breathtaking, perched high above Lake Thun, offering stunning views that are truly mesmerizing. The lodge is family-owned and hosted by the delightful Céline Meichtry, exudes warmth and hospitality. Céline is incredibly nice, responsive, and friendly, working alongside the rest of the team to ensure guests have a wonderful stay. One of the highlights for us was the expansive green space around the lodge. We enjoyed the open view, unobstructed by surrounding houses, which added to the serene and tranquil atmosphere. We genuinely felt at home there. The views of Spiez Mountain were amazing, especially as we savored the breakfast in the morning along with this view. The breakfast featured a variety of fresh, local products, including cheese, jams, croissants, oats, yogurt, juices, coffee, and more. It was a perfect start for the day. We also loved exploring the nearby area on foot, which offered beautiful walking trails. Additionally, we had dinner at a nearby family-owned local restaurant, where the food was excellent and the views of the lake were stunning. Nestled in the heart of nature, the lodge itself is beautifully made of wood and has been newly renovated. Our room was clean and comfortable, complete with a lovely balcony where we could take in the picturesque surroundings. Access to Interlaken is only 25 minutes by car, making it convenient for any stuff needed to buy. Overall, our stay at Bergblick Lodge was a perfect blend of comfort, nature, and warm hospitality. We highly recommend it to anyone looking to experience the beauty of Swiss nature.

What an excellent hotel. On arrival Celine (the manager) greeted us like friends who were coming to stay in her house. She is a happy and very helpful manager for whom nothing is too much trouble. She upgraded our room, and booked us dinner in a restaurant by the lake in Spiez. The room was impeccably clean, with a balcony from which we could watch the sunset over the mountains. This hotel is thoroughly recommended, and I would love to return.

My wife was a bit late showering on our first morning and the water was struggling to stay warm. There were a few steps in the hotel which tested my skills with my wife's wheelchair; I managed them all except for the last step into the garden.
