I absolutely loved my overnight stay at Berggasthaus Eggberge. From the moment you step into the cable car up the moment, you’re literally being transported to a more serene, more peaceful and beautiful version of the world. The views are simply stunning, the staff and owners incredibly friendly. I also highly recommend Andy’s Brew, the owners very own beer. It’s delicious:) Wish I’d stayed a few more days to explore the beautiful surroundings.

Nothing I didn’t like, just a tip for fellow travelers. Parking at the cable car is very convenient, but I recommend using your own local parking app (like EasyPark) instead of the Swiss app (Twint) promoted on the parking booth. Twint doesn’t accept foreign cards, so wasted my time trying to get that to work.

We stayed here only for the one night but it was amazing experience. The owner of this hotel is very nice and friendly, the view on the mountains is gorgeous and the diner was so big that I’ve barely finished my dish. The hotel itself looks like it had renovations pretty recently (no mold in the bathroom or any kind of dirt on the walls etc.) Our room was super clean and cozy. Wonderful.

Everything. This is a rare and beautiful place- Gaby and Andy have poured their heart and soul into making this a relaxed, welcoming and special lace to stay. Excellent food, sustainably sourced and lovingly prepared. We will be back!

Nothing. Just be mindful that you cannot access the priority by car. You need to park at the cable car and catch this up abs down to reach the town etc. we loved this but it does limit how early or late you can arrive and leave.

The views are incredible, changing every ten minutes based on the clouds you could just look out the window all day. The owners were welcoming and friendly and it was interesting to hear their renovation story and to see all the work they've put into the place. The food was delicious, especially the lemongrass soup!

Magical location only reachable by a short cable car ride from the town/road. Wonderful hosts, comfortable rooms and characterfully decorated hotel! Dinner was also fabulous. Would love to come back for a longer stay. Highly recommended.

While the pictures speak for themselves regarding the amazing location, accomodation, and food, the staff is absolutely incredible, they went above and beyond to make us enjoy our time. It is very rare to find this type of impecabble services and I guess this has to do with the fact that it's a family business and they put a lot of passion in everything they do. I simply don't have the words to describe how good we felt during our stay and we would definitely recommend it 😊

Fantastic setting - beautiful decor and scrumptious food. The hosts were personable and clearly took care to make our stay (for a big birthday) a special one.

The flies from the cows, but not much to be done about that.

The location was just perfect! Going up with the cable train, having a drink and bite to eat the terrace with spectacular view and waking up with an even prettier view and nice breakfast. Would definitely recommend it!

Hosts are very friendly and helpful. Our room was beautiful, clean, very comfortable bed, nice view, nice WC, hot water shower with good pressure. Restaurant food was great, breakfast was enough. Location is really ideal for any kind of outdoor activities Ski, snowshoe hikes, hikes. Atmosphere is truly good very nice in the whole place, very nice decoration and cosy. 100% value for money .. a place to come back as it offers different options in different seasons.
