Indeed, on a good day, we could see The Matterhorn as portrayed in the photos. The room we luckily got is very spacious, as one enters there is a foyer where in to one side leads to the living room, and the other side to the bedroom. The lounging and dining area (room) is spacious enough to even fit 4 people. It also comes with a balcony which has a direct view of the Matterhorn. We were informed of other facilities like a heated spa room and some more(if I remember correctly) , though we didn't get to use it. Nevertheless, the front desk and staff were helpful and friendly.

Amazing view, good location, room is as good as showed on the website.

Nothing, but some customers from China ( family with children) spoke loudly in Mandarin when they entered the room , and keep some noises, which may bother other customers.

Staff are very friendly and helpful, especially on reception. Room was a good size and very comfortable, lovely balcony. Close to the railway station and centre. We enjoyed using the pool and jacuzzi..

It was a shame that the sauna was out of order. It was unfortunate that there was building work in front of our room and a crane in front of our view of the Matterhorn. We felt we should have been told about this before our stay.

I wished we stayed longer here as the room was the largest and most comfortable for our family of 4 amongst the different hotels we stayed at during our holiday in Switzerland. The 2 bedrooms are separated from the living and dining area, so there is more privacy. It is a 5 min walk away from the Zermatt train station. We took the opportunity to walk through the town to get to the base station to travel up to Matterhorn Glacier Paradise. The walk took no more than 20 mins. On the way back, we hopped into a bus.

We had a suite, which had a separate twin bedroom and a living room with large sofa bed and a dining table. Very roomy. Balcony faced the mountains. Large bathroom with shower and separate bath.

Slight criticism, no secure ski locker or luggage room for last day so bags stored in a hall next to reception. Nothing was taken from either area, and I have stayed here before without a problem, but I do always wonder if my stuff will still be there when I return. Very easy for someone to take your skis/boots even by accident.

Our Family Suite was perfect. Great size, great view of the Matterhorn, very clean and definitely comfortable for a family of four with dog. The hotel staff could not have been more helpful or kind. The pool + hot tub were fantastic on rainy days. And they serve a nice breakfast each morning.

We visited during off-season so the restaurant was closed - not ideal with small kids on rainy evenings, but that's the only thing that was less-than-fabulous during an overall great stay.

Hotel Ambassador was excellent with a stunning view of the Matterhorn and incredibly close to the train station it was easy to get to. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful always willing to help as needed. The room while small had all needed amenities and kept a lovely cabin feel! The new Carbon restaurant is a must try the food was beyond excellent and the staff in the restaurant were fantastic.

The beds themselves were a little stiff and only having one very soft pillow wasn't enough, we ended up asking for a second one each. Whilst there is an included breakfast in the mornings I found it a bit odd coffee wasn't included and you needed to pay for it.

Breakfast room in basement without views. They should do breakfast where the restaurant is with views. Dinner can be downstairs since there are no views in the dark.

The room is a littleee bit small with our huge luggage(s) but otherwise suffice. Breakfast spread is amazing! Definitely worth paying for breakfast, as they serve a whole spread of yummy breakfast food. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Our room comes with Matterhorn view, it's breathtaking! Travelled during early Sept so temperature at night is just nice with open window. Location is very near train station and to Gornergrat station, so its very convenient. A short walk to town. Restaurant Casa Mia nearby is a must try 100! Clean room, clean sheets, clean towels!

Only provided little toiletries like lotion and soap bar. Road going into hotel is a littlebit downhill otherwise its fine. Matterhorn view is not whole but still able to get a good picture.

Great location close to the train station. Nice view of the Matterhorn. For the money paid, it was much better than expected - clean, comfortable, well laid out, nice looking, The staff were great, very personable, fun, and helpful. Filippos (sorry not sure on spelling) was fantastic. We also all loved the breakfast, so many selections and enjoyed everything we ate and again the staff was very attentive and helpful. I’m rarely wowed by a hotel, but we all were with the Ambassador.

I would’ve liked a larger fridge and a microwave but not a big deal.
