The B&B is in a 15th century home, which resulted in some very interesting rooms and steps. Our room, in our hosts house, was very comfortable and was at ground floor level. No stairs to lug bags up, but there will always be some noise from the street outside. The breakfast was excellent, made even better by Trudi joining us each morning which made for some interesting conversations. Her knowledge of the old town district came through, and we liked the welcoming "come outside and I will point out some sights" greeting.

It did seem strange to have a kitchen with a stovetop, but when we asked about a supermarket to perhaps cook a meal one night, we were told it wasn't really setup for cooking meals. No big deal, there are very many restaurants in the old town.

If you are looking for a modern place, this place is not for you. If you appreciate the old house with a character, this is it. The location is excellent, close to everything. The moment you walk in you feel welcome by your host and it feels like you are staying with friends. There are houserules but nothing you can’t cope with.

Breakfast could be earlier during weekdays, one morning it was 9am, the other 9.40 but maybe we should have been clearer by ourselves and expressed our wishes the night before. Breakfast itself is excellent, there is no shortage of anything and you will receive a wonderful cup of coffee.

My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay. The place was very beautiful and charming. We most loved the beautiful garden and the delicious and super healthy breakfast. Trudi was really interesting and knowledgeable about so many things and I wish we had had more time to spend with her.

Construction outside our window was really distracting and loud, but that was beyond the host's ability to control, so there was nothing we did not like about the place that was within her control.

Was unique to stay in a building built in 1430. Large hill to get to the location.. Then again Zurich is up and down everywhere.. Trudi was very interesting to talk to and very helpful helping you find where you are going...she made you comfortable at breakfast sitting down and chatting. Kitchenette in room so you could cook yourself if you wanted to. Definitely a place we would return to

Candles in the rooms. It's very dangerous! Little light in the room. There were 3 very dim lamps. Very small double bed for 2 skinny people. Too many small and expensive things in the room easy to break for those who are not used to moving in it since everything is new. The electrical socket in the bathroom is behind a mirror and is not practical. Limited hours at breakfast (understandable because there are no employees to prepare it). If you take a flight early, loses it The handwash drain is not working properly. The bathroom window curtain is short and the neighbors can see you.

Trudy has maintained the place well despite house being constructed in 1430. She walked us through complete house though we were allotted room at ground floor. This was a great gesture. She also explained about nearby areas to visit and explained a bit about neighborhood. I personally loved door locks which were old design but effective and still in use today.

Security to bedroom on ground floor had me in double thoughts since it has 2 doors and only one (old one by keeping key with us while going to bed) could be locked by us. Fire door could still be opened from outside if someone is in the hallway and other guests would enter through the same hallway. Other would be improvement areas like one extra fan, hangers for clothes and a small table for keeping luggage.

Beautiful modern home in a 1406 house. When do you get an opportunity to stay in a place like that? The neighborhood was amazing. Very walkable. Breakfast was delicious and Trudi is a great host. We will definitely stay here again. Great place to introduce yourself to Zurich!

This was such a convenient location in the heart of Zurich’s old town. It was really conveniently places and surrounded by the cities history at your doorstep. Trudy was really welcoming and we loved sipping grappa in her courtyard at sunset. Just at the front of her home is one of the cities fountains, we enjoyed a sunset dip and was one of our best experiences in Switzerland.

As I’ve been asked, the bed was a tad on the small side and a little firm for my personal preference.

didn't have breakfast per our request. Home was amazing. We weren't there long enough to take advantage of all the amenities but they were there in spades. Lovely place and location

Maybe the climb up the hill the first day with bags but that is no fault of the property. That is why it has the amazing views and privacy.

Good communication with host, room and amenities all very nice and enjoyable for our stay. Location was perfect and the house was beautiful.

Currently construction ongoing right outside the home, so quite loud in the morning. Room was also quite hot (visited in July) although the fan provided helped a lot.
