We only stay for a night but staff is very friendly, the room was big and comfortable, food in restaurant is good (better than a much fancier hotel we stay in later) and price is good.

Not a lot of shower pressure (which is an issue for me because of my hair) and the location is a bit noisy, but we were able to sleep just fine. We stayed in the 4th floor and there's no elevators. So people with mobility issues should request rooms in the first floor. We had a huge baggage with us because we were staying a long time in Tanzania and climbing Kilimanjaro which required hiking equipment and winter clothes. One of the staff insisted in carrying it all the way up there, and I was filling really guilty about it.

We stayed at Green Mountain the first night after arrival to Arusha and liked it so much that we booked it also for last two nights. Both rooms we had were spacious and clean, and there was a cleaning service doing our beds everyday (which we didn't expect). Green Mountain has also a very friendly and talkative staff (warm greetings to Bahati Nzuri "Good Luck") and they serve an exceptional huge breakfast - we loved it! The hotel's restaurant serves fresh local food - we tried chicken in peanut sauce, chipsi Mayai, and tilapia fish in coconut sauce. It's worth it to be patient and wait around 30 minutes for each of the delicious dishes (waiting for food in Tanzania is a standard as everything is being prepared fresh). Next to the hotel is a gas station where you can easily get a boda-boda, bajaji or dala-dala to the center. You can also find a minimarket next door and a fruit stand just on the opposite side of the road.

The perfect start to begin a safari! The team at Green Mountain Hotel is super friendly, everyone always has a smile on their face. The rooms are neat and offer plenty of space. Even in their own restaurant, they take the time for a few personal words, which we greatly appreciated! Upon our return from the safari, we even received a complimentary room upgrade. 🙂 Thank you so much, dear Green Mountain team, we had a great time with you.

The room upgrade to the twin suite was appreciated as the room was large. The hotel was just off the main road so was quiet enough and the was a nice view from the 4th floor of the green mountain. The staff in the restaurant were great. The breakfast was really up to standard and worth it. Definitely value for money especially if you are able to enjoy the outside areas and pool.

We arrived here after an 11 hour journey and were greeted by a wonderful member of staff who took our bags, dusted them off, showed us to our room and just made our arrival so positive. The staff were great. The family room clean and large. The restaurant has loads of variety and although it took a while to come it was because it was all handmade and fresh. And they even packed us a breakfast to take for the early 5am bus. Thank you!

All the staff were very friendly and helpful.Breakfast was good and good variety of African and European dishes.. Supper was delicious. Value for money and the location was good 30min walk into town.You need good footwear to do this.

On arrival was given the wrong room.We paid for a deluxe and were initially given a standard which is much smaller.However in the morning the error was soon rectified without any hesitation.Room was spacious with a balcony overlooking a banana plantation. Otherwise everything was excellent.

The staff was absolutely incredible--accommodating, friendly, helpful and trustworthy. Breakfast was really good as was the dinner we had in the restaurant. The location was good. Laundry service was quick and affordable. We stayed three different times during our trip--on arrival in Tanzania before heading to our destination and before and after our safari. We would absolutely return to this hotel.

There wasn't much we didn't like. The rooms were very comfortable but sparse in terms of decoration. Absolutely suitable for our needs but some might like more "style" or African decor. It would be nice to offer wine or cocktails at dinner as a regular service. They did go out and purchase a bottle of wine for us which was super nice and unexpected but I would have expected it to be available without the extra effort.

The breakfast was great, the lunch was also lovely. We had just come from a safari and this was the perfect spot to relax afterwards. The front desk staff were really helpful in assisting us with organising waterfall hikes and a SIM card.

Nothing really. It would have been nice to walk to local restaurants at night (which we were recommended not to do) but this is not at all the fault of the hotel.

The staff were so friendly and welcoming. They knew we were coming late so the kitchen stayed open for us. The breakfast was great with lots of options and the chef made some of the best food I’ve had in Africa . They also had espresso available in the breakfast area. All the kitchen staff were attentive and friendly. They were even able to make us lunches to go for our safari. I would love to stay here again on our next trip to Tanzania.

Great breakfast, room was very lovely and sizeable (we got auto-upgraded to a higher room class upon arrival, which was a welcome surprise after climbing Kilimanjaro). The hotel grounds were very nice. Hotel is secure with a 24/7 security guard. Staff was extremely friendly

Location around the hotel is a little bit sketchy, wouldn't walk around there at night
