The rooms were good and the staff were great

Couldn’t get a towel for beach on either day , even though we were the only ones on the beach for much of the second day

The staff at Kipepeo are absolutely amazing. So friendly and accommodating. Dorothy the manager was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to welcome us and meet our need organising cars and hotel stayd in Dar Es Salaam as well. Frank Francis anf Upendo were also fantastic especially making Long Island Iced Iced Teas for us not on the menu! The beach itself is gorgeous. Unspoilt and quiet. Breakfast is lovely and food is yummy. Highly reccomend.

Showers could've been a little better

Wonderful natural cabins very close to the beach in very green surroundings - you can hear the ocean from your bed. Great breakfast with different options in the lovely restaurant directly at the beach. You can just relax there or ask for possible activities. All clean and safe, staff is super friendly and tries to serve your needs at any moment. I reached in the middle of the night and still everything worked well (getting the keys, being guarded by watchmen to my cabin).

Nothing essential really! Since the cabins are built in one line quite close to each other, maybe there could be a bit more of privacy in terms of view from one terrace the other

Just returned home from amazing stay at Kipepeo. Perfect location, tasty seafood at the restaurant, clean beach with security. What is extremely memorable the staff of the hotel: the boss Dorothy always asked how did we feel, is anything ok, receptionist Siita, called Mama Siita, was so nice and warm person who made all our wishes and dreams come true, gave advice on trips, souvenirs! As someone mentioned in the reviews, better to book bungalows which are 2 minutes away on foot from the reception. Bungalows are spacious, each has balcony to chill, shower and WC.

Beautiful beach, relaxing atmosphere with nice lounge chairs, good food and reasonably priced drinks, special thanks to the two trainees that worked really hard and with a constant smile at the bar / resraurant

The staff at the reception area was not very forthcoming and seemed to be not really enjoying the work; the staff at the restaurant was great. The showers in our two huts hardly produced any water and at night there was loud music from the neugbouring resort or village. Internet was very bad

I've stayed at Kipepeo many times over the years and it never dissapoints, thankyou to the whole staff team but in particular Dorothy, Amnani, Frances and Upendo - whether you are in a simple beach hut listening to the waves or the deluxe bandas in the trees your stay will be truly memorable - we would recommend trying the kayaking and Sinda Island snorklung both are fab - thank you all - Laura, Gabi, Adas and Pam :):)

It was very hot at night even with a fan

Really charming helpful staff, especially Dorothy. Am amazing beach bungalow to stay in with a hammock on the balcony, and a private bathroom and huge bed with mosquito net. The setting was fab - although the approach was a bit worrying, when we turned off to the hotel, suddenly there was an amazing view of the beach. So close to D es S, our expectations weren’t high but the beach was fabulously clean and a real treat to start our holiday. We also saw our first monkeys here - brilliant! Great bar, good food too. All in all, fantastic.

We had a disappointing cocktail - but that’s all I can think of!

Very green and natural location with mangustas, monkeys and birds' singing, amazing beach, very clean facilities and good breakfast. Great view to the ocean, it is very relaxing sitting at the hut's veranda. The bed was very comfortable, we slept great. We loved our stay there and definitely recommend it

If you hate bugs, this place is not for you. It is a luxurious hut, meaning no windows... I would have loved a kettle and coffee/tea in the room. The lights are very dim, impossible to read a book at nighttime

Simple beach huts directly on the beach. Perfect if you like it simple and want to stay right on the beach for a good value. The room had a bed with mosquito net, fan and table. The room was clean in the beginning but due to the natural ceiling, there was lots of „nature“ falling on the bed. The staff is friendly. Either I got lucky or they really decreased the volume of the Musik in the neighboring place.

It took 2 days for me to get a towel and cushions for the beach chairs would great. The food is very good, let’s say mid-range to expensive. But a bottle of water for 2500 is way overpriced. Unfortunately the WiFi did not work at all and in the common area, you would have to pay extra.

Stayed for 2 nights, and it is the perfect getaway spot. It is very peaceful, the beach is beautiful and everyone is very accommodating. I’ve been here a lot of times throughout the last 6 years, and I always recommend going here to everyone visiting Dar.

As I said, I love this place, so only some small things: The sheets could be a little bit nicer and not so rough on the skin, and it would be lovely if the restaurant / reception had some mosquito repellent to lent to the guests as there are always a lot of mosquitoes there. Also, while this depends on the weather / time of year, the beach can be very wild and the waves very big and a little bit intense. Just a heads up as it this time (start of February 2023) was a bit intense going swimming.
