Rainbow Hotel is situated in just the right spot- a walking distance from all main amenities we needed such as a mall with shops, a church, the ferry, rapid bus system, Kairokor shopping complex/market etc. The breakfast was healthy! There was ana amazing gentleman working at the restaurant who made sure to restock the buffet options so that even though we went toward the end of the "breakfast time" we still had all the options available.

Would have been nice to get complimentary bottled drinking water in the rooms. We had to buy our own.

We stayed twice in this place, before and after Zanzibar (the hotel is near the harbor). In the first time, we stayed at 8th floor, with a view of the area and far of the noisy streets. The twin bed room is big, with good and hot shower. The restaurant has good and cheap meals and a really nice waiter. The breakfast is also good. All the staff is so nice and helped us in some issues. The hotel is near banks and restaurants.

In the second time, we stayed in a double room in the 3rd floor, without view and near the noise of the streets.

my deluxe room was clean and the bed comfortable, shower is good, hot and cold water. Location downown not far from Zanzibar ferry station and other popular hotels. Breakfast buffet is just ok. Many restaurants and banks, forex bureaus etc...

TV channels need some upgrade, also need kettle in deluxe room for coffee or tea lovers like myself. Too much traffic in the neighborhood

We travelled when we’re 3 and the room was spacious for the three of us , the hotel location is in the middle of the city centre the view was breathtaking and the hotel staff was so kind to offer us a ride to the ferry .

The breakfast was finished before the time finished

The staff is very helpful and super friendly always ready to help. The rooms and bedsheets are replaced every day and the room well cleaned on a daily basis. The breakfast is nice and one can eat as much as she/he wants. Light supply is 24/7 without interruption and warm water and water supply is great. The fridge in the room is perfect to hold the drinks super cold. All over a great experience for my business trip I can find all what I need in walking distance. I will definetly come back.

There is nothing that I can complain about it maybe there could be a bar on the roof balcony but this is more of an advice to the management.

I liked the location it was very convenient, quite and easy to locate. The safety was superb I didn't have to worry about leaving my tiny staff in the room. The staff are friendly and very polite. I loved the fruits very juicy and tasty.

The cleanliness is a bit wanting I don't if it's the salt water? The bathroom curtains were stained. The bathroom it's self wasn't getting clean enough for one to enjoy bathroom time 😜. The two in one bathroom and toilet is too tiny. The television only has two channels one with nothing much to watch the other in Indian language. The breakfast was very boring, maybe it's just me but the taste too wasn't good. This made me not try out their menu at all.

Very good location. We were a bit skeptical after reading all the reviews. The rooms are indeed smelling a bit weird but it was fine. Also our AC didn't work, but when we told them we got another room which was nice. Breakfast was also nice, just basic with multiple options like every hotel.

Rooms were smelling a bit odd. The first rooms bathroom was also a bit dirty/rusty. But it was completely fine.

Staff and location very good. Cooked breakfast very good, though it was the same for 7 days. Ferry terminal 5 minutes walk.

Need to make sure the dishes and cups are clean before you lay on the table. You need to remove from the room details that it has got a safe.There is no safe in the room, you are giving wrong ionformation.

Good location Cheerful and helpful staff They packed our breakfast at 5 in the morning, as we had a plan to leave for wildlife safari to mikumi national park at 5:30 am. Nice spacious room with lovely view of city fron our 6th floor

No drinking water was provided Doors were a bit Jam and weak too. Geyser was probably not working

The hotel is nice just as you see in the pictures..the staffs are amazing helpful..the breakfast was fine just simple..the area is centre of the city easy access of taxis and restaurants nearby.great location!would definitely come again!

The ac was splitting water inside the room..that's all i giess it can be fixed
