We stayed at Baan Ploy Sea for two nights, in a jungle view room. The room was spacious and very clean, and very quiet through the night. Probably a better choice than the sea view rooms, which are right next to the little pool where kids start to play early in the morning. The restaurant is great, clearly one of the best on the island, and breakfast was delicious. Staff is very helpful. The beachfront is clean, and that part of the bay isn't too busy with boats. You can rent a paddle board or kayaks. An extra bonus is the incredibly smooth logistics from mainland to the island and back. If I ever return to Koh Samed, I know where to stay.

Baan ploy was a delightful, relaxing place to stay! Staff were warm and friendly. The rooms were clean, tidy and spacious! The breakfast and food at the attached restaurant was delicious! And, there was a very cool little chocolate shop across the road and a short 15min stroll into the town centre making it a fab location! We loved our stay there!!

I think the restaurant is a bit expensive plus you have to apply tax at the end, maybe that’s why not many people eat there at night. Anyway there are plenty of restaurants around

Property is out of the crowded area of the island but still quite close so it’s really relaxing there.

Maybe just the bathroom that gives a little humidity smell because it’s completely made out of wood. But this does not impact my 10/10 mark.

The clean beach, the quiet ambience and the cozy facilities are the highlights of my stay. Yes It's pricey, but as they say: you get what you pay for. I was happy staying at this place. Ps: Brown Cabin, omg!!!! THE best chocolate drinks in the world. 😉😉😉

Nothing really. I mean yes, there's mosquitos and all but Koh Samet is a national park that's covered in rain forest. Bring an insect repellent spray and you'll be fine.

The coffee machine at the breakfast could be improved. There was only one chair on the balcony.

New rooms, very clean, easy access and very good restaurant food for lunch and dinner.

Reception staff need more training. When there was a lady from the Samet resorts there it was ok but if just the Baan Ploy staff they really struggled with basic questions. We also asked if they accepted American Express and they said yes. We then asked 'are you sure' and they said yes. When we handed over the card they then said 'no American Express' kind of comedic but also frustrating. Breakfast was average at best. No fresh juices, awful coffee and service was chaotic. We cancelled the order on second day and left as they forgot to process it. Unfortunately some whiff of sewage from the beach too but not sure the hotel can be blamed for that.

Really super great place. Very quiet place. Super good location. Two types of rooms: those exposed to the sea and those on the garden. The second ones are so big, peaceful. The hotel has a café hidden in the jungle with a very modern design. Once again the place is wonderful for grabbing a coffee while looking on its emails or just reading. And what about the restaurant of the hotel? Just one of the most excellent of the island. Really. breakfast is good. We really enjoyed the place.

If you go there with kids do not hesitate to take some water shoes to avoid injuries to the feet due to shape stones or sharpe dead corals.
