Great location, comfy hotel, good and flexible heating, in general really nice staff. Massages were quite cheap (on a 50% discount). Nice to have a TV with Netflix & Youtube to watch a movie. Overall a great hotel to relax but in a really nice and well-connected area.

Indoor pool was cold, and during winter we expected it to be warm so that was dissappointing. Also the new guest relations manager was super pushy asking us to write a review, made us uncomfortable. The staff was really nice and ordered a taxi for us to the airport but the taxi driver eventually overcharged us (not by much though, so still a positive considering the experiences we had with taxi drivers in the city!)

I loved everything at the property. I admire the professionalism of the management team. The take care of every single detail at the property. Beside the great work of the management, I loved the breakfast area and the team there is doing a great job, a big clap to the chefs. Furthermore, the house keeping staff were very good and sincere at their job, I can’t remember a single thing they forgot while cleaning our room for the whole 8 nights, even the coffee machine capsules were never skipped or forgotten (like other 4 star and sometimes even 5 start hotels). Yes, it is that specific! A clap to all the receptionists and the gate watchers. They were of great assistance at all times. I’ll say it again, such hotel success happens when there is a professional and hardworking management team behind all these sectors mentioned above. So a big clap to them.

I can’t think of anything really, but I’d love trying the hotel’s Turkish Bath and Spa. Unluckily, they were under renovations at the time of our stay.

Perfect location, rooftop and breakfast, and pretty calm and not noisy considering the location.

Just overall it wasn’t clean. In my room I had women hair in bathroom, around the soap / shower gel stationery, and there were two complimentary water, one of them was half empty. Also the shower area had hair. I stayed 2 nights in this room and second day although the room was cleaned the women hair in the stationary was still there. For such a nice hotel, they should be more careful. If it wasn’t for this I’d definitely give them 10 and I will for be back there if I know I’ll be guaranteed to stay in a clean room.

The Spa Gym options are good & reception area lounge is nice to chilout relax have a read or coffee it as a very retro art feel to it & the Skybar on the 9th Floor boast good views Most Definitely 💯 100% will be returning 🌟 🌟🌟🌟

The Breakfast was ok more of a traditional style could be a bit more attentive though it’s decent & healthy being the most important

We had a great time staying at the hotel. We stayed for 4 nights and the staff have been so nice and accommodating. Location was good as the hotel is just near public transportations and there are a lot of restaurants nearby. The hotel also offers delicious breakfast.

The only downside was our room was a bit warm to the point that we need to open the window just to let the cool air in because the air condition cannot be regulated manually. And since our room was facing the street, noise from the cars and some people drunk from parties can't be avoided while having the windows open. But overall, it was a still nice experience staying at Root.

The room was comfortable and was nicely cleaned every day. The breakfast was lovely and very varied. Beautiful view of Istanbul from the restaurant. The location was also nice, very close to a tram stop. The shower was nice and had great pressure.

The gym was an important part of why I chose this hotel, but the equipment was old, some were broken, and the gym area was not cleaned well. I also had good and bad experiences with the staff. I brought food back twice and asked them to reheat it for me. The first time, they were very happy to do it. The second time, the staff member was clearly unwilling to help and, in the end, lied that the microwave was broken. The breakfast staff would also take a long time to clear the tables, and sometimes there was nowhere to sit because all the tables had dirty plates on them.

regarding my insights, find them below and kindly accept them from a customer who wants to visit you again and see he's comments were applied ; 1. my room and bathroom in 6Th floor need maintenance 2. the elevator needs to have a fragrance device 3. the towels are too old and consumables 4. I found some dust on the TV and the lamps those small things make a big difference 5. I didn't see any customer relationship desk. 6. you need someone to be in touch with the customers to give advice and information and what they need to know, this is very important for us as Hotel guests. 7. provide maps of the city including the attractions of the palaces and tickets with good prices for the museums, etc.. 8. the WiFi very slow after 10 Pm

The location of the hotel is very good, close to sights, close to water, close to the tram - just perfect. Lots of good restaurants and bars close by. The atmosphere of the hotel is very calm, it is well-designed, stylish, and boutique-looking. You feel comfortable after a long day in busy Istanbul.

The spa was confusing, only 20 minutes are free of charge and then we were told it was 25 euro for an additional hour. But it the end, the jacuzzi was cold, the hammam room was not working and they just turned on the steam room when we got there. We only went once even though we stayed for 9 nights. The longer we stayed the more "quirky" things about the hotel we noticed, but in general, it was okay. Staff was helpful even though they seemed confused sometimes. Osman was a very good help to us.

I had an exceptional stay! The location is ideal, situated in the heart of Karaköy, surrounded by some of Istanbul’s most iconic landmarks. I had an great hammam and massage experience—if you're visiting from abroad, don't miss this opportunity! The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, and the rooms, along with all the amenities, were spotless. The beds were very comfortable, making for a restful night’s sleep. Considering the quality of service and facilities, the pricing is very reasonable. When I booked, I thought it was too good to be true, but it exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend staying here!

The hotel is nice and the staff is helpful. The thing I liked most is how clean the rooms are and the good smell of every part of the hotel.

The room is really small, smaller than we were thinking, although it is true it was announced as 13 m2 in the website. For more than 1 or 2 nights I would opt for a bigger room. The breakfast is better than I was thinking (based on previous reviews), although it is a bit repetitive (every day the same things, and the staff of the terrace where the breakfast is served (which I understand it is different than the hotel staff) doesn't seem to care much about the clients.
