The location is superb with all key historic sites in Sultanhamet within maximum 10 minutes walk (and Grand Bazaar a fascinating 10min stroll through neighbouring streets). If using BusForUs Hop on Hop off, its starting point is 5mins walk away.A tram stop 150m (with ticket machines) connects you to eg Erminou for ferries across to the Asian side/Karakoy for Galata Tower, Tophane for Taksim Square and Karabatas for Dolambache Palace. Right on your doorstep is a neighbourhood filled with cafes, restaurants, shops, a fabulous bookstore and a myriad of intriguing alleyways to explore. We found the breakfast entirely adequate (don't go expecting bacon and eggs...this is Istanbul after all), the WiFi excellent, staff welcoming and keen to assist, the bedroom size very comfortable with lovely bed/linen/some of the best in room lighting we have found in our travels and a compact bathroom with a superb shower. The cleanliness of the entire property is to be applauded. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and delighted at our choice of hotel - we hope to return to Istanbul in the future and will look to book here.

We don't have a negative comment but I would advise that if you have early tour departures the breakfast is only served from 8.30am (there's a fabulous bakery around the corner, simit foodstalls (Turkish bagel) and coffee takeaways to suffice anyway). There have been comments in several posts re the "noise" from streets BUT you can't choose to stay in the midst of a neighbourhood filled with cafes (at least 8-10 right on the Hotel doorstep) and not have some music/noise from the street - after all part of the charm of Suadhan Hotel (and Sultanhamet district) is its location and the accompanying buzzy vibe

Thank you for the nice stay and service at your hotel. The location of the hotel is perfect to walk around the city and everything you need is in short range and walking distance. I would recommend to book the airport shuttle service offered from the hotel, the pick up from SAW and the drop off were well organized and the cars used are very comfortable.

The hotel is in a noisy area because of all the restaurants around, but you know this before booking. I would advise you to bring some earplugs if you're sensitive to loud music etc.

The hotel is located right in the center of the old city, very close to all major attractions, restaurants, bars. The room was decent in size, kinda small for my taste but was ok. Very clean. Bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly.

The fridge in the room, facing the bed, has transparent door and the light is annoying. A small inconvenience. The major one though is the noise outside. So unless you sleep like a wooden log :) or you also party outside till morning (1:30 - 2:30 am), you should probably look for a different hotel. In all honesty we have seen this in other comments as well but we decided to take a risk.

very clean hotel in the best location possible, right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of old town. around the corner from hagia sofia and the blue mosque, as well as the metro station which takes you through the city very easily and cheap. staf are extremely friendly and helpful. breakfast delicious with plenty of options, fried egg or omelette made to order.

everything here was great, however I would say the drink prices are very steep. paying £30 for a gin and tonic and a sex on the beach was a bit of a unpleasant surprise, especially as the same.drinks one street down cost just over half this price...

Crazy noisie. Every night until 1 am always loud music played in the bars and restaurants in front of the hoteland it started at 8am again.

The location of the hotel was not as envisaged based on the photographs on Booking.com. The hotel is located in a very busy (vibey?) pedestrian street, which we did not anticipate.

The best place I've ever stayed! It's a beautiful little hotel, with the most caring staf. All the guys working there were the most friendliest people and helped our stay to make it an unforgetably nice experience in Istanbul. Veysel, the owner helped us with lot of tips, programs, and organised for us everithing, and paid attention on everything, thank you so much! :). The hotels restaurants is the greatest one in Istambul, and the service is just perfect! Thank you Ahmet for all your attention, you are a great guy! :) If I ever return to Istambul, no question, where to stay. The location, the cleaness, the food, the people...etc.. 5 star holtel with a family vibe.

The location is amazing how with the location also come very loud noise from the restaurants and bars surrounding the hotel. Very clean and great , helpful and kind staff. Good breakfast

The noise from the surrounding restaurants until 2 am. We spoke with several staff about it and for one night it did quiet down however all other nights it was just way too noisy with loud music until 2 am which is unfortunate. We tried to turn on the air conditioning at night to at least provide some white noise and because it was a bit stuffy in the rooms but the hotel has it turned off until summer which is unfortunate because it would probably make a difference in the noise level.

We loved the location, breakfast was great, clean rooms, really good beds, double glazed windows which opened. Staff were really friendly and helpful. The restaurant was fantastic. We ate there the last night and wished we had eaten there all the time (much better than the other places) as hotel guests we got a discount. Really easy walk to all attractions, safe area.

I'm a light sleeper, there was a little bit of street noise one night ( my kids didn't hear a thing!) so take some ear plugs. The windows are double glazed (stops the noise) it's not too bad and it's worth it for the location.
