It was a nice place to stay near Galata tower. Strongly recommend.

The room we got was not actually small, like many people have complained, so it might depend on what is available. It's true that I had booked a single room by mistake and had to pay extra for the room, but we got what was basically an apartment. The location is nice, quite close to the Tunel station and the metro. There are quite a few restaurants in the area, so plenty of options for eating out. Also one or two supermakets, and tons of little shops. Getting to Sultanahmet is probably simplest with the Tunel elevator/tram and then the tram, if you are traveling with kids and don't want to walk too big a distance. The street outside did not seem that noisy; not sure if that's due to the time we were there (around Republic day). Note google maps was not that good at suggesting public transport options from Karakoy to the hotel, so you might want to check in advance.

There was no breakfast space, we paid for a voucher (for Turkish breakfast) that we used in another restaurant, about 5 minutes by foot from the hotel (close to the Galata tower). They are fine, but you can also go there and choose something else besides Turkish breakfast, or check the other multiple eating options in the area.

It was a great experience overall: our room was clean and modernly furnished, the location was great although it's true that you need to climb hills to get to it, but it's not very much of a hassle, there're lots of cafes, museums in 20 minutes walk, famous Istiklal street too, subway station, busses, you can easily get to Fatih, to Nisantasi, even by foot. Staff was quite helpful, always ready to address our concerns, when our flight was canceled, they readily subtracted payment for that one day from our bill.

The building itself is very cold, no heaters whatsoever, but in-room conditioner solves this problem if turned on almost 24/7. Our room was very small, just like in the pictures, we barely had space to place our luggage. Also, our windows faced other building and we didn't see sunlight at all😅 But these were minor problems for us, we still enjoyed our stay a lot

I recently stayed at SYKAI Hotels PERA Istanbul and loved every moment of it! The location is perfect—just a few minutes’ walk from the iconic Galata Tower, which made exploring the area so convenient. My room was clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated, with thoughtful touches like a coffee machine and bathroom amenities. What truly made the experience memorable were the stunning frescoes on the walls and ceiling; it added a unique charm to the room that you don’t often find. The decor felt cozy yet elegant, perfectly fitting the historic atmosphere of the area. For breakfast, I opted for the Turkish breakfast at nearby Nata Cafe (available for an extra charge). It was delicious and came with a lovely view of Galata Tower, making it the perfect start to the day. The welcome at the hotel was warm and friendly, making me feel right at home.

While there was some street noise, it didn’t detract from my experience. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend SYKAI Hotels PERA for anyone looking to immerse themselves in Istanbul’s vibrant history and culture!

Sykai Hotels Pera - a place where you feel at home. We stayed as 5 friends at Sykai Hotels in Pera (Istanbul) from 21.10.2023 to 25.10.2023. The location of the hotel is fantastic. The subway is nearby and the shopping mile Istiklal is a few minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel is very clean and nicely decorated. The staff are very accommodating and helpful. We enjoyed every minute at the Sykai. Thank you very much for letting us stay at your hotel. We will come back again soon. We can recommend this hotel with a very clear conscience. EVERYTHING WAS GREAT!

Great location, very clean, friendly staff, free wifi and complementary bottled water. They offer turkish breakfast for 10eur, which is the average price for that area. We had a triple room that was almost like an apartment, so the kid slept in his own bed, own room. Thought would be more noisy because of the location, but was ok. Safe and busy area, everything very close, from coffee to any public transportation and even parking.

Room could be bigger and price could be lower :)

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by the hospitality, pleasant surprises that I requested before coming, and the service of the place. Changed to the King room, confortable bed, enough air, light, awesome design, jaccuzzi is excellent and much more... It is comfortable to walk bear foot thanks to the soft carpet, 2 sun roofs that are exceptional, that you can open and close, for the morning and morning sunlight,lift available, all accomodations were available and functional, which added to our pleasant experience, the room is secluded, which is great for privacy. The host is very responsive and amazed us by fulfilling my requests, can help with airport transfers if needed as well.. Spacious room and bathroom, different types of lights, coffee machine and tea, safe, tv, airconditioner... Great location, 30 seconds from Sishane subway station, and very close to galata Tower. I recommend for everyone and especially for couples! You can easily stay there and don't go out for few days ;) Big thanks for the hosts.

Very near to the metro station and very central in Pera. Easy to get around from there. The room was small but still very new and clean and had everything we needed. We stayed there for a week and everything was fine. For shorter periods it would be even more perfect. The value was definitely very good for the price.

The toilet paper was given out very sparingly and the water in the shower was flowing very little on the first day. But when we asked the staff about it, they turned on the water and it was perfect then.

A very good hotel, located in a stunning location. The metro is next to the hotel, and Istiklal Street is also a few minutes walk away. The area itself is very good. The hotel is clean, cozy and very modern. The room was cleaned every day. Everything around was simply sparkling with cleanliness! I don’t even remember how long my visit to Istanbul was, but I can definitely say that I haven’t seen a better hotel than this one. All hotel staff are very helpful and kind. I would like to especially thank Mr. Berhan; on the night of my arrival I was on his shift. A very responsive, kind and cheerful person, he explained, told and showed everything in detail :) Now every time I fly to Istanbul, I will stay here. I definitely recommend this hotel!
