The arrival good smells of the lobby and all the concierge staff are excellent. When we check out there’s a queue and one of the concierge staff saw that we have been waiting for a while and come to approach us with the storage of our luggage (our flight is 11pm).

As we found this hotel through booking.com, there wasn’t any message that the swimming pool is under renovation (I even do the filter of displaying hotels with swimming pool only due to Singapore hot humid weather) and the renovation period begins from the day we check-in. Although the reception told us there’s a shuttle to the sister hotel if we want a swim but we still find it not so convenient and we didn’t swim at all during our stay.

Noisy I can hear the motorcycle every night. And I can also hear our neighbours. Very limited breakfast choice. The waitress in the dine was not helpful she didn't lead me to any seat then one of your staff in a cook outfit even mocked me with his colleague by repeating my words 'where should I sit'. I'm sorry but that is not funny to me. I found it very offensive. The check out staff charged me again and told me it was because the check-in lady made mistakes on the bill. Chaos. And you tell me this is a luxurious hotel. LOL

The property is beautiful and clean, our room is spacious for couples, all the things you need are complete, like hair dryer, clothes iron and coffee maker with complimentary coffee. They also have complete toiletries. The staffs are very accommodating. The hotels location is near to every tourist spot and there is a bus station across the street

What we didn’t like is just the housekeeper didn’t vacuum our room everytime they changed or clean our room. It would be perfect if they vacuum our room.

Reading the reviews here revealed a mixed bag which made us a little nervous. We decided to trust the good reviews and proceeded to book. I’m here to tell you to go ahead and book! We have just checked out and are really happy that we chose to stay here. The rooms are clean. The room sizes are reasonable. Nothing ostentatious but comfortable for a good holiday. Safe and no incidents. Contrary to many reviews here, we enjoyed our breakfast - selection and quality was great - the food was fresh. We will definitely be back and recommend to others too. For any black travelers who may be wondering, we did not experience any racism - not at the hotel or anywhere else in Singapore.

Very minor flag - the checking in and out processes can be a bit slow so I would encourage you to check out early if you’re headed for the airport to avoid delays.

Location

Although we booked a deluxe room, the room was very small and view was poor. Hotel is classified as a 5-star but more like a 4-star.

It was lovely! They surprised us with honeymoon decorations in the room, which made it so special! The staff were helpful and accommodating! The close proximity to the river and to the MRT station were great and made the stay super easy.

The location was great for Clarke Quay and close to MRT. Staff were all lovely and very helpful and friendly. Facilities were all clean and well looked after. Water filter unit and coffee pod machine were a great addition in the rooms. Pool area was lovely too. We were there for our 30th Wedding Anniversary. A staff member came to the room with a card and a lovely little cake, which was very appreciated.

The rooms were on the small side and for anyone staying more than a night there is no where for guests to actually un pack their clothing, other than some hanging space. The bathrooms although had everything you need were again on the small side. The rooms did have a water filter unit which was great. To fill it up though was a bit tedious as the canister didn't actually fit under the tap so it was glass by glass to fill. Maybe a nice jug could be added to the room. Coffee pod machine was also a great touch. Although we only went to use on the last night and it wouldn't actually make a coffee. Water not coming through. Sure an easy fix. Over all we did have a lovely stay and would maybe choose a bigger room if they have them next time.

Great hotel, with confortable and clean room. The staff was excellent and kind. The breakfast was delicious and very complete. Quite close from the Quay area, 1 block away from bus and MTR and 40 min walking to the Marina Bay area. Great view from the bedroom facing the Quay area.

The staff felt overwhelmed during breakfast area, they should be trained to do specific functions in specific areas. They were so kind, but looked stressed because they were extinguishing fires everywhere. And the bathroom has glass wall to the bedroom. Ugh. It has a blinder but every sound can be listened.

I like this hotel because it just 5 minutes walking distance from Fort Canning MRT Station. The bed was very comfortable. Also you can reach clarke quay on foot. The breakfast was good.

I almost charged twice. Because i've paid in the apps, but the reception charged me again. But thats clear already, because i complained directly after i checked again in the apps. Then they refund it directly to my card. I booked the room with the breakfast but in the morning, they didnt have my room on their list, after i showed the booking, the staff in the restaurant have to check first to the reception, and finally we got the breakfast after waiting the confirmation. Please be aware of this.. Thank you..

After the renovation the hotel looks really nice and provides big rooms (for Singapore standards) with nice views of the city and the pool. The bed was comfortable and the cosmetics provided by the hotel of good quality. We have also enjoyed the complimentary tea and soft drinks from the mini bar. The pool area is big and nice, I just regret that the bar wasn't working during our stay.

A bar in the pool area would be nice (there was one, but closed during our stay). The check-in process was very long, not sure why - this could be improved.
