A very friendly welcome. It felt as if we were staying as a guest in someone's home rather than in a B&B. We were warned not to worry if we heard noises in the night as it was likely to be the horse sleeping in the stable adjoining our room! Good, freshly cooked breakfast. Abbotsbury is a beautiful village, and East Farm House is well located in it - across the road from the excellent Swan Inn. The Swannery is definitely worth a visit.

Acknowledging this is someone's long-standing family home, the rooms were all rather cluttered, with pictures, knick-knacks, books and memorabilia. This will be charming to some (as it was to us) but could be a bit off-putting for others.

Close walking distance to pub Friendly host Comfy bed Despite not receiving my dietary requirements until the evening before breakfast, it was clear the host pulled all the stops to provide dairy free milk and breakfast items I could eat. If you have any allergies or intolerances, I would suggest phoning the property beforehand as messages will not be received.

Contacted host via booking.com app messages days before arrival with my dietary requirements. Upon arriving, I was told by the host that she doesn't have time to open and read messages and therefore was not aware of my requirements for breakfast. Spiders and cobwebs in places

Lovely old cottage in the centre of the fascinating village half a mile from the SW coast path. Very helpful owner who provided lots of newspaper to stuff into our squelchy boots. Great meal in the traditional pub nearby. Very good full English breakfast. (Other options were probably available but we didn’t ask). Rooms were small as you would expect in a cottage but very clean. Supplementary electric heater in the room.

Nothing. The decor was a bit fussy for our taste but that is not a criticism.

Location is excellent for exploring Dorset. Abbotsbury itself is a delightful village. The Swan provides a decent pub meal and the Sub-Tropical Garden is great in all seasons. The B&B is very interesting, with various animals on site. Mind the hens and ducks when parking! The cooked breakfast was perfect. The room itself was rather small, as was the ensuite and shower, but perfectly comfortable. Mind your head if, like me, you are tall. Anyway, plenty of character. We would definitely return, both to Abbotsbury and to East Far, House.

Room size - a bit cramped, but acceptable given other attractions.

The accommodation was very well located on the Jurassic Coast in a small village. We were able to park off-street, in their 'farm yard'; horses, ducks, chickens and many others. The accommodation was upstairs (steep staircase) in a beautiful Devon Long House. The beds were very comfy; room had a TV, ensuite, tea & coffee facilities. Breakfast (full English, with cereals too) was very nice in a common breakfast room.

The doors are locked at 11pm (so need to be aware of this if staying here a few nights); not that there is a lot to do after hours in this small village.

Thought it was slightly overpriced for the time of year we stayed. Local pubs closed at 8pm, nothing else open. But lovely village and lovely cottage . Lots of animals , horses, chickens ducks, etc. Lovely free range eggs!

A lovely b and b in a quiet location. Abbotsbury is a small village perfect if you like peace and quiet. The b and b has a real countryside feel and Wendy (and all her animals) is a lovely host. The location is a very short walk from both pubs in Town and not far from the Swannery. Car parking at the b and b is possible. Breakfast was very nice, eggs and bacon for me. In town, as well as the pubs, there is a lovely cafe just before the village shop which is great open most days.

Everything was very good. So, nothing to add here.

Quaint cottage, lovely village full of thatched cottages. Wendy is a perfect hostess. Second time we have stayed, except there to be a third and fourth time. Quiet location. Couple of pubs close by that serve evening meals. Good value for money.

When it'd very dark you can not see much in the village as there are no street light.

It’s conveniently located for hiking the coast path.

It’s very overpriced, especially considering: 1) Breakfast is normally served only at 8.30. By special arrangement I was served a limited breakfast at 8am along with 2 other people. 2) Hygiene isn’t great - when I tried to remove my hair from the shower drain, it was so filthy I had to give up. 3) The check-in time was very short, only till 6pm. I sent a message saying I was hiking there, but no reply.

The location in Abbotsbury, at the edge of the village and almost opposite the lovely pub, The Swan Inn, was perfect. The host was wonderful from start to finish and we'd be really happy to come back here.
