The rooms were very modern and stylish. Loved the decor and matching bedding with a sheep theme! The ensuite was spacious and clean. Lovely large screen TV and tea and coffee supplies in the room too. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet and warm. The arrangements for entering the accommodation without anyone being present were great and instructions given on how to find the pub were very useful.

It was a shame the check in time was so late (6pm) but it wasn't a problem to arrive earlier after making arrangements in advance. The pub didn't open until 6pm either so we had to venture into Stogursey to have an afternoon drink before heading off to our party. I can understand the opening hours however and knew this when booking. Shame there was no cooked breakfast available but a very plentiful continental breakfast could be delivered to your room when booked in advance.

I was able to check in early, and the room was warm and very comfortable. As the pub was closed the following day, breakfast was provided in a coolbag. It was very peaceful.

The wifi didn't work at all - I couldn't see the network. I did speak to the owner about it when she delivered the breakfast and she said she'd check, however the network still wasn't visible and I never heard anything more about it. I would have loved to try the food, as several people had told me how good it is, however sadly the restaurant is closed on Mondays!

Very nice B&B with friendly staff. I stayed here while I was accommodation hunting after starting a new job and the staff were happy to work around my schedule for room cleanings (I get up early on weekdays so asked them to only clean when I was away so I could have a lie in on weekends). I was particularly fond of the garden access to the rooms; great for getting out early in the morning without bothering anyone and for getting food delivered on nights the restaurant wasn't open. Overall I'd highly recommend it both for a holiday getaway and for Hinkley staff that want somewhere close for a temporary stay.

I had the feeling this lovely pub is the ideal spot for walkers. As I was too, the location is smack bang in to what I thought, half way at the tip of Hinkley Power Station. The owner keeps you informed personally via text, so you can provide time you'll be arriving, however this winter time of year, the pub opens at 6pm, which was perfect as my walk finished there by this time. It was dead season in Feb when I stayed, and I can imagine during the busy summer time, getting a room here ( just 3 in total I believe ) you may have to book ways in advanced, vs the day before as I did! The room was perfect, single bed which was very comfy, warm and just what I needed to rest. The pub provided food and drinks as expected, served by the owners and lovely cat!

No bath in my room, maybe the other two rooms do, but I don't think there is. I was in the off season, which I might have a different experiance in the summer to find anything drastic to say about The Babbling Brook, but to be honest, I think any time of year would be good. If you didnt have a way of contact..at all and just rocked up..you'd be locked out till the pub opens...which could be a long while if no set of wheels. Getting a room here also may be a nightmare in the summer..but as I said, was here in Feb, non walking season!!

- The room was clean, comfortable and quiet even though we were next to the pub. It felt like a private space created by the trees and shrubs as we faced (as all the apartments seem too). - The food in the pub was reasonably priced and really high quality. - The owners were very accomodating of our needs (we brought mountain bikes).

The breakfast hamper had very basic cereals. It would have been nice to have been offered something a bit more substantial like granola or museli. There was quite a bit of confusion over the bill for accommodation and food. I would have preferred to have paid for these separately, though this was resolved quickly and amicably.

Lovely location, staff very friendly,& accommodating ,beautiful decor, very nice towels .just a shame the pub wasn't open for a meal, but it was a Monday.

The room was looking a little tired, cracks in ceiling, taps leaking when in use, crack in sink, quite a few cob weds &spiders ,but this is a country retreat &we hadn't given mutch notice of are arriving,so all in all was a cute place 👍

The breakfast supplied in the cool box was generous and with a good choice of items. the croissants were a bit disappointing but I expect that is how they are when prepacked!

The room could do with refurbishing! I had to use two hands to turn off the basin tap! All the bathroom appliances could do with replacing and the shower could be larger. But Value for money it was very good. TV reception terrible. I used it as a radio.

Pleasant village location, convenient for local bird-watching. Evening pub meal was excellent

Somewhat disappointing breakfast. Prepared the night before and delivered to the room. Admittedly, relatively cheap, but croissant was dry and one plastic jam container supplied, open already and half used!

Had I bothered to read the text message from the proprietor I would have accessed my room earlier! The room itself was extremely pleasant, very private. Host extremely friendly and attentive. Ate at the hotel and had a very pleasant burger.

The premises didn't open until 18:00 but if I had read the messages sent to me from the proprietor more thoroughly I would have known this and possibly accessed my room much earlier - Not really a dislike just a comment. WiFi in the room was very weak

The location was brilliant for what we wanted close to Bridge water Carnival however not in the town it self. Owners were great they sent as instructions to how to access room as running late this saved us a lot of time rather than waiting for someone to book us in

Can not say there was nothing we did not like
