We loved the history behind Hawthorn and well the owners knew about the property. We loved the breakfast that was included in the price, everything was cooked to perfection and the service was amazing. The owners were very well prepared for any questions we had about the area and places we could visit. The owners made us feel very welcome and the best part was bringing our dog along. We will definitely be back to stay.

Nothing, hawthorn is exactly the type of place we like to stay

Fantastic hosts gave a warm and friendly welcome and it was good that parking was easy - right outside the room. The main property is a traditional farmhouse with guest house facilities in the main building and also several outbuildings provided range of accommodation for up to 6 people. Our double room was basic but clean, warm and comfortable. Tea & coffee making facilities with some thoughtful sweet treats included. Limited space and compact bathroom but given ours was only an overnight stay this was not an issue. Good location for visiting Buxton - only about 20 minutes walk into town centre. Breakfast was provided in the main farmhouse dining room and was delicious and plentiful. We were invited to look at the larger accommodations named lavender and also walnut apartments - these were suitable for larger numbers and had good range of facilities

Nothing 👍

Gorgeous little cabins in scenic Buxton. Was welcomed by Paul straight away and shown to our cabin for the night. He explained where everything was, best places to eat and showed us a quick map of Buxton. Explain breakfast to us and we were on our way! The room had everything you could want with a very comfy bed and a nice little terrace outside to enjoy the sun! Breakfast was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble! 5* from us for Paul and Sarah and even got to meet Dudley the dog! Will definitely be returning with our newborn in the future! Wishing you all the best and a successful year! Many thanks!

A lovely little guest house walking distance from the main town which has plentiful outstanding food and drink options for lunch and evening meals. Breakfast was cooked fresh with a smile by the hosts who were friendly and attentive. The breakfast was delicious and so many options which would suit anyone's needs. nothing felt too much trouble. our room was warm and comfortable and homely. there were even Christmas decorations in our room which was a lovely touch. we wouldn't hesitate to book again.

What a fabulous place. Great location just outside the town so lovely and quiet. 25 min walk to the opera house with plenty of eateries along the way. Our room was beautifully designed and decorated with everything you need, comfy beds, tea tray, and a lovely shower room. The farm dates back to 1600. Our oom was once part of the old stables, so really quaint and quirky. Breakfast was amazing, starting with a huge bowl of delicious fresh fruit and yogurt followed by a yummy full breakfast. Our hosts were so helpful and friendly and gave lots of information about the old building. We will definitely be staying again.

Absolutely nothing.

Paul and Sarah were very warm and welcoming. They were very knowledgeable with local area and recommended great local restaurants. It was great to meet their two four legged hosts, Archie and Dudley, this added extra joy to the experience. Our room was comfortable and spotless and we had a great , peaceful sleep with absolutely no outside noise. Breakfast was outstanding with fantastic local produce. We would definitely stay again and recommend Hawthorn Farm B&B to our friends. Thank you Paul and Sarah for a wonderful stay.

Everything was great.

Good location - On a bus line (right outside), close enough to the train station as well (15 min walk). Excellent breakfast - Customizable each morning, the cook was amazing, and sufficient options, one of the highlights of my trip. Will be a pity if this location becomes a self-cater in the future as the breakfast was really amazing. Amazing room cleaning service (we were really muddy and dirty every day due to weather despite trying our best to be clean before entering the room).

If I had to nitpick, a coat hanger by the door entry would be nice (room 1 - triple room). Also the TV remotes were a bit finnicky in choosing when to work. My fault for not asking for help though!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hawthorn Farm Guest House, the room was cosy and comfortable, perfect for our needs. Paul & Sarah were superb hosts, friendly and welcoming and providing local knowledge of places to eat when we arrived later than planned. Breakfast was great, with so much to choose from and a warm and friendly atmosphere to enjoy it in within the beautiful old farmhouse. Nothing was too much trouble and whilst it was a fleeting visit for us, we would definitely return in the future and recommend to others.

We were welcomed on arrival and shown to our room which was spotless. We were only staying overnight as we were going to see a concert at Opera House, but we were treated exceptionally well. The breakfast was all cooked freshly with an abundant supply of tea and coffee. The hosts were both friendly and made us feel very welcome.

Having to leave!!

Room size was adequate for a short stay , good use of space to provide coat hooks and small wardrobe. The hosts provided good selection of hot drinks in the room, soft fluffy towels and shower products (if needed). The room was lovely and warm , which was much appreciated after returning from a night out. Excellent choices for breakfast, hot breakfast food was delicious and we would book Paul and Sarah’s place again if we were staying in the Buxton area
