Clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Very comfortable bed, and great bathroom. Private offroad parking & outside seating area. Several walks from property - direct access to Offas Dyke path. Chepstow, with shops and restaurants was about a 25 minute walk, and there was a nice footpath route.

The fridge was rather small. Had we have known in advance, we wouldn't have brought 3 meals of perishable food with us, we would have just brought enough for our first evening. It was not possible to watch television from the sofa, only by sitting on the bar stools.

We had a couple of facility issues when we arrived but Jo couldn't have been more charming and resolved very quickly. The cottage is very spacious inside and tastefully decorated and yet with a cosy feel. The terrace is set off from the owners garden and lovely suntrap, but quite steep steps, so be mindful if small children. I also noticed a BBQ not that we used it but great to know for another time. Stunning walks in the area and the Rising Sun is lovely for Sunday lunch - delicious.

Please note nothing to do with the accommodation - but there is a shortage of taxis in Chepstow so double check what you are going to be charged first before you book. We got a taxi back from Tintern Abbey £40 - ouch!

The accommodation was central to visiting other areas. Although Not within walking distance of pub or restaurant there were plenty close by to drive to . Car parking although on a steep drive just room enough for 2 cars. Was clean and warm

Could do with a little more crockery for 4 . Also some instructions on the heating and the cooker and grill would be useful. but everything in order and clean

The loft is a self-contained studio apartment at the top of the building, with excellent river and countryside views. Comfortably furnished, with a well-equipped kitchen, bath and shower in the bathroom, and its own decked terrace and allocated parking space off the road. Although just off the road, it was quiet, and the offa's dyke footpath runs past the bottom of the garden, accessible by a gate. This is an excellent location for walkers, and chepstow a short car journey away. Access arrangements sent by e-mail were very clear, and though we didn't meet our host, they texted to make sure we arrived safely and were happy with the accommodation. There was plenty of space and storage, and useful local information leaflets provided. The milk, biscuits, tea, sugar and coffee were a welcome touch.

The loo brush in the bathroom was the only exception to the overall high standard of cleanliness; it's container was rusty. We had to clean the convex parking mirrors to see clearly if the road was clear to exit the parking bay. The cafetiere provided was too small, it would only fill one of the mugs provided, but we just made the coffee strong then diluted with more water from the kettle. The small fridge was ok for our short stay, but may have been a problem if planning a week's groceries. Guests should be aware that there are a number of steps to access the loft from the street and car.

Lovely big bedrooms. Separate kitchen. Private patio. Ideal for two couples as rooms spaced apart, separate bathrooms. Well equipped.

I have a dodgy back and found that the mattresses in the rear room were either of poor quality or old - not enough support - 4 nights of backache. Also in the same room, the boiler outlet vent of the apartment below is right by a single-glazed window, by the bed. It is very loud and caused sleep interruption.

We stayed 3 nights at the Loft. It is a superb apartment, clean and spacious, and perfectly located to explore the Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley (including attractions like Chepstow Castle and Tintern Abbey) as they are only a short drive away. Although we did not meet our hosts personally, communication with them by e-mail was easy and they were really helpful. The biscuits, tea, and coffee were a nice welcome touch.

Very helpful hosts who responded to questions promptly. Good location and able to walk to Chepstow in about 40 mins. Well equipped accommodation with everything we needed.

Not a problem for us but it is located on a busy ish road.

Lovely cottage. Very well equipped. 2 large bedrooms, 1 with en-suite. Main bathroom. Lovely pub within walking distance. Off road parking. Cosy lounge and lovely kitchen diner. Plenty of room for 4

Nothing, it was better than expected

Breakfast not provided as it was a self catering booking. The cottage had everything needed to be comfortable for our stay.

The cottage was located on a busy main road, there was a fair amount of traffic noise throughout the day, slightly less at night. The patio allocated to the cottage was up two sets of steps, so wouldn’t be suitable for anyone with mobility issues.

Jo was exceptionally helpful during the booking of or holiday and even arranged to put up birthday decorations as a surprise for my husband. Milk was left in the fridge and cookies on the side when we arrived. The accommodation exceeded our expectations and had plenty of parking. Toiletries were left in both bathrooms and there were plenty of towels and pillows. Fantastic stay and well worth the money. Thank you very much Jo

Only feedback I would give is that a wardrobe in the main bedroom would be advantageous, however, this is a very minor point. For travellers, if you are wishing to use a taxi during your stay, you will need to book this a couple of days in advance, as they are few and far between
