Nice B&B English style. The room was spacious and the bathroom too. The breakfast was excellent and Angela prepared scrambled eggs for us and lovely coffee. You can walk from the accommodation to the city centre on a nice path along the river. It takes around 15-20 minutes. There is a beautiful island you can walk in. Beautiful scenery. In the evening we had dinner at “Encore une fois”. Nice restaurant. The second evening we had dinner in a nice pub/restaurant. The food was excellent and we could play pool. We enjoyed very much! The place is called the Rose Street Foundry.

Break was great, fresh eggs, a large buffet from hot food to cold cuts. It was a cozy space with a river on the backyard. Refreshing waking up in the morning with such a view. The staff were generally sweet. Would recommend.

Reception was good, initially the lady who runs the property was a bit rude - probably cause we arrived late at night. But they were a nice couple running th BnB, she was nicer in the morning (not at 6am though). The man was really humble and nice though, the couple kind of balanced each other which was cute.

The proprietors couldn't have been more helpful, accommodating and delightful. Truly made us feel at home and so very welcome .... with a wonderful sense of humour and care. A great combination. The particular room we stayed in was a bit smaller than we were expecting, but well presented and comfortable. Also, it's a short walk (around a mile) to the centre of town along the quiet road .... or slipping into the pathway to walk alongside the river. All in all, a wonderful place to stay.

If there was any aspect that we took pause with was the parking. While it's plentiful at the rear of the house, it could be a bit tight getting in and out with a narrow drive down, and also plenty of parking in the front of the house (4 large vehicles), but that also takes some maneuvering to get back onto the road. It all depends on your level of comfort and technique in maneuvering (and size of vehicle). :)

Location was perfect, property was so cosy, lovely and warm, Max the owner welcomed us to our room. Our view was lovely overlooking the river. Continental breakfast was a good choice something for everyone. Beds are so cosy , ours had crimson velvet covers and they were just lush. Thank you to you both :))

We loved everything!!

This is a little gem -- exactly the kind of experience those of us who prefer to avoid chain hotels are after. We were greeted very warmly, stayed in a well-appointed room, and were treated to a great breakfast with a huge amount of choice, all for an incredibly reasonable out-of-season price. The location, with river views, was great, and there was ample on-site parking. One of the charms of the (spotlessly clean) place was the the fact that everything mismatched, representing what looked like a lifetime of gradual improvements to the guests' comfort, and making it feel that we were guests in someone's home.

To be honest, the beds were a little saggy (I slept well but other family members could have slept better). But that's nitpicking because the overall experience and sense of comfort was great.

Our stay at this charming accommodation was absolutely wonderful. The host couple are incredibly kind, warm, and attentive, making us feel right at home from the start. They provided us with excellent local tips, which made our trip even more enjoyable. The breakfast was a highlight—delicious and personally served with great care. Their hospitality truly made the experience unforgettable, and we can’t recommend this place highly enough. We look forward to returning in the future!

Clean facilities, safe parking. The bedroom (the one with the separate bathroom) was beautiful, very cosy with a great view of the river. Warm rooms, with kettle and tea and biscuits! Towels and even bathrobes. The bathroom was clean. Quiet place, great for relaxing. Good location for people visiting Inverness or Loch Ness. Close to big Tescos. The host was absolutely amazing, very nice and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone. Breakfast was amazing, absolutely to die for both in quality, quantity and variety Just as in the pictures! RE: some of the comments that were complaining about the state of the house - maybe that was before. But as it is right now it truly is well-maintained, clean and welcoming.

Our stay was too short... Wish we were there longer.

The beds were incredibly comfortable. We could crack open the large window and feel the breeze off the river in the backyard. It was a lovely view as well. The breakfast selection was extensive and delicious.... cold cuts, fruit salad—pastries, cereals, yogurt...and made-to-order Scottish breakfast. Our hosts were amiable and solicitous. We enjoyed walking along the river to the Waterside Restaurant and Bar for a nightcap and snack from Gasdair.

Unfortunately, there was no hot water in the morning when I hoped to wash my hair in the shower. There was a plumbing issue that they thought they had resolved. I would hope that it is not an ongoing issue for this accommodation.

Friendly people, clean spacious family room with a big bathroom. Breakfast with a lot of choices, both warm and cold and you can get eggs the way you like. The elder lady took good care of our son and brought him hot chocolate in the morning with whipped cream. We never used the parking on the back side, which has a very narrow passage and our car was too wide, but we always had space on the small parking in front of the house. A bit away from the center but easily reachable by car and perfect for visiting the highland games in July, which are held just behind the Guest House, only a small walk through the park and over the bridge.

The window in the bathroom didn't close completely and for us European mainlanders, it was very cold in the room, even in July. We tried to turn on the heating but it wasn't working at that time of year I guess. It was quite uncomfortable, feeling this cold. But other than that, no remarks!

In a very good location with the back of the property overlooking the river. Room was fine with a good size bathroom and good towels. Plenty of hanging space and mirrors. Superb selection for breakfast, although we did miss some bacon. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts and they seemed lovely people. In a very central location with a 20 min walk from bars and town centre. Would recommend.

Would have liked bacon in a morning along with the sausage/beans/mushopoms/eggs. But would not stop me going again.
