Well presented B&B,room was well planned,with seperate lounge,bathroom was large with modern shower and bath,cooked breakfast was excellent, more fruit,dates,prunes and mixed fruits,would have given a better choice for those not wanting a cooked breakfast.

Tvs did not work,dirty spoon left on coffee table, no tea bags present,mattress seemed to have a duvet under the fitted sheet,but was still comfortable, found shower difficult to adjust temperature, am being picky but you did ask,bottled water would have been a nice touch,was dust build up on lights and some furnishings, would stay again,

-Clean and comfortable room and a clean bathroom -Not too far from Bowness on Windermere, 10-15 minute drive! -Friendly staff, the one bloke who was working there was a joy to chat to. He helped me get my car going on the last day because it wouldn't start, I was able visit Bowness for the final time before heading home. -Breakfast was good but nothing special, my wife really enjoyed it though.

-No air conditioning which I think would be necessary in these warmer times, or at least a fan in the room.

In EVERY way Lyth valley country house exceeded our expectations. Every member of staff was genuine, pleasant and happy to help. Without any doubt we will certainly stay here again when visiting the region.

Having to leave.

Set in an idyllic location with lovely countryside views all round, this Hotel is so peacefully quiet, ideal for a night or two of relaxation away from the hustle & bustle of everyday life. Phil, the host, is welcoming and courteous, room we stayed in was very spacious, comfortable, and clean (the Stag).

TV reception was poor to non existant, Sky would not work. Having said that, the weather was horrendous, but you still could not get normal TV through the aerial.

Hotel was immaculate, with gorgeous views and the room was superb with nice decor and very comfy beds and was also spotless. Also, Phil who runs Lyth Valley is one of the best hosts I've come across, very friendly and helpful. Thank you for a lovely stay at Lyth Valley. Will be definitely returning when i can and recommending to people i know.

Couldn't fault a single thing. 10/10 on everything

Nice room, nice towels. Heated towel rail and heated bathroom floor are nice touch. Bed very comfortable, nice duvet. Breakfast and the coffee were very good. The view.

Constructive comments: Make sure there are cups, saucers, spoons, milk and glasses in the room before arrival. Fix the plumbing so that there is cold water in the shower, fix the bath tap so hot water comes out properly, fix the sink drain so it isn't blocked, fix the toilet so it doesn't run all night trying to fill the tank. Fix these items and the place will be great.

Beautiful hotel with lots of character, really comfy and cosy room decor with lots of small touches. Amazing views of the fields and mountains, perfect location for Windemere and Kendal. Lovely bar and breakfast area with balcony overlooking the views, and a serve yourself type bar. The bed was large and soft, smart TV with Netflix etc, rooms quiet and dark. Full English breakfast was quick and well cooked. Overall a really peaceful stay.

There could be more complementary toiletries like shower gel and bubble bath to make use of the lovely bath. No bath robes. Breakfast could be larger.

the surrounding and view from the room were incredible. The interior was great, bed was super comfortable! love a freestanding bath but it was a little small, but the shower more than made up for it!

the toilet constantly kept refilling with water, which was loud and annoying as it was hard to get to sleep, and then woke me up. also the lack of a bin for small rubbish items

Everything about this place is gorgeous! The staff were wonderful and we had the best time and the best stay. The views were absolutely gorgeous and the room was stunning! Honestly everything about this place was a million percent out of 10. We even brought our dog and he loved it! Super accessible, stunning views and a gorgeous walk as far as the eye can see. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom gorgeous and the bath was delightful! The service was amazing and so comforting. Felt like we were visiting old friends. Great comfort and homey vibes but yet so sophisticated! We stayed in the Fox room and it was superb! Not too far from the centre of Kendal either. Overall we absolutely loved our stay and could stay another week it was that good! Love! Love! Love!

The hotel was in the country side with beautiful views. Very peaceful. Lovely bedroom. Breakfast was great. Staff very helpful and friendly, I would return... Thanks to Keith Adams & his business parter for looking after us and making our stay so well-coming.

Pre Covid the hotel did evening meal, food Photographs are shown in the advert by Booking.com. It was a bit disappointing that evening meal is no longer provided. Booking.com should remove such photographs as it is misleading.
