most aspects of the hotel were very good. Excellent breakfast.
Only down side was the shower stopped working in the middle of me showering. Reported it to reception and they said that no maintenance were available on the day.

This was meant to be a final night stopover before a long drive home. It turned out to be a very lucky and good choice. Quiet rooms, comfortable, clean and you were shown to it, which is very unusual in my experience. The food was excellent, and the breakfast spot on (veggie haggis!), it really set me up for the day. Another smaller hotel but I really liked this: the restaurant had a friendly feel and I did feel welcome when staying. Recommended.
No coffee making facilities in the room, but a note saying you can ask for some. Which did seem a little odd. The door lock was fiddly to use but there was a knack to it

Our room was decorated to a high standard and looked great, it was also very clean. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was fantastic and the service was superb, we were both very impressed with the Lairg Highland hotel and will definitely be coming back in the future.
Unfortunately some of the other guests that were staying at the hotel were very ill mannered and rude to staff, this was a shame to see. However the Staff dealt with this in a highly professional manor by being kind and patient with these unpleasant people. The staff did a fantastic job in a very challenging situation.

Staff were really friendly and we were able to check in a bit early. Our room was clean and comfortable.
Most of our evening meals were really good, however one had Yorkshire puddings that were 'rock hard'. Breakfast was ok but very greasy.

Lairg is not a big place and the Highland is about the only hotel, but the staff were welcoming and really friendly. the Hotel is clean, rooms are nice and spacious and there is plenty of parking available right outside. A nice bar, great selection of draft ales and beers and of course a super selection of the best highland malts!
nothing negative to say, the shower in the room was a bit on the weak side but still ok.

The staff in the evening was very helpful and kind. I very much appreciated the whiskey recommendations at the hotel bar and was delighted that I was permitted to store my bicycle in a shed - superb!
The check-out is intended to be at 10am sharp. I didn’t love the reminder at 9.30am that checkout was between 9.30am and 10am and the subsequent reminder at 10am that checkout was then. It seemed a bit over the top.

We loved our overnight stay at the Highland Hotel. We're cycling LEJOG and the staff secured our bikes in a locked shed. The room was large, the wifi good, the water hot, and the bed was comfy. We had both dinner and cooked breakfast and both were excellent. This is a friendly hotel.

Recently decorated and refurbished. Evening meal, haddock and Chips, was very tasty. Breakfast was fantastic.
Creaky floorboard in the bedroom corridor. Did not disturb me, but if I was in a room closer to the noise, it might have.
