Room size great, beds comfortable, bathroom with everything including hair dryer. Tee and coffee making facilities. Air condition
It was again difficult to get a printed receipt when checking out. I really had to argue my case which is every time i stay here. The reception needs to get a new printer so customers can get a printed receipt fast when they need this. My reason for this request should never be a matter but for us it is that the electronic receipt never reach us from this particular hotel and we are frequent guests here. reception staff was very helpful and gave my the receipt because I insisted on this but it was initially denied that I could have one. Bad for a hotel of this standard.

The hotel was in a great location and the staff were all absolutely lovely! Really friendly and chatty! They didn't even mind us wandering across reception and up to the 5th floor to the bar in our PJs when there was a Christmas party on! 🤣 The breakfast going till 11am was a real bonus too!
The bar being on the 5th floor made buying drinks tricky! Fortunately, we have a very high embarrassment threshold! That said, I'm not sure how I'd feel if I was at my work fancy Christmas party and two people in pj's turned up! But it was that or a £6 tray fee! Maybe arrangements could be made to lose the tray feel while parties are going on to protect those who have paid for a party!

The breakfast was minimal but sufficient. The restaurant had pleasant music playing, which created a cozy atmosphere.
The hotel overall made a positive impression. The room was clean, and the staff was polite and eager to help. I felt that they genuinely tried to create a comfortable environment for guests. However, I was given a room next to the air conditioning system located in the corridor. This system was noisy throughout the night, causing a resonance that made it difficult for me to sleep. The noise level was about 38 dB, which was quite loud and disruptive. The manager promised that after 10 PM the fans would be turned off, and the noise would be quieter, but unfortunately, this did not happen. Overall, the hotel is decent, but the noise issue left a negative impression.

The location by the wharf, helpful staff, cleanliness, the spacious bathroom
The room was very dark, partly due to being on the side of the complex and a relatively small window, but the lighting in the room was insufficient to make up for this. The attached picture shows how dark it was even in broad daylight. The parking was expensive considering it was just an indoor car park with not many spaces and it was quite cramped, some of the spaces were actually on a ramp which meant we parked at a rather unusual angle and had to be careful getting out of the car on the downward side.

The location was good, the room was adequate - it was clean, the bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was good, if a little expensive for what it was (£263.00 for four people having two courses, with wine).
When we checked in, the person on the reception was brusque, almost rude. The pillows in the rooms are feather and, due to allergy, a request for alternatives was met with the suggestion of a rolled-up duvet. Non-feather pillows were later provided. The windows were very small, making the rooms dark and the hairdryer in one of the rooms didn’t work.

lovely hotel in a good location by the canal basin/waterfront. Our room was upgraded to a suite with a balcony. Couldn't fault the room for size, facilities etc. Comfy king size bed with choice of pillows. We had the hot buffet breakfast which had loads of choices & all the hot food was well cooked & fresh. The dining room had amazing views of the cathedral & Brayford Pool. All the staff were friendly & helpful too. Would definitely stay here again - highly recommended.

Friendly welcome from Reception staff - warm cookie was a nice surprise! Room was airy, bed comfy and facilities very good. Breakfast was amazing! Cereals, choice of fresh fruits , full variety of English breakfast, choice of pastries. Large selection of fruit juices and hot drinks. Staff were lovely and very attentive. We also had afternoon tea whilst we were there and again it was served by lovely staff - food was delicious. Views of the Cathedral from the restaurant were fab! What more could you want!😄
It did get quite cold with the air conditioning in the room at night, we thought the temperature was all pre-set so didn’t like to try and change it but if we had been staying for longer than the weekend then we would probably have asked a member of staff to maybe sort it for us.

The majority of staff were polite, professional, and friendly. Good size room, which was clean and well equipped. We had an excellent meal in the restaurant and exceptional service from our waitress Martha.
Lack of parking at the hotel, however, there is a multi-storey car park, just a stone throw away that is actually cheaper, so there is no real issue as such. Unfortunately, the young woman on reception who booked us in was rather rude and unpleasant. We have stayed at Hilton Hotels many times across the UK, and fortunately, this is the first encounter that we have had with an unfriendly member of staff . It was a shame that she let herself and colleagues down quite honestly.

Close to train station, nice breakfast
I booked a superior king room because booking dot com said this room has bathrobes, slippers and bottled water. As we were travelling by train we didn't want a lot of luggage so i paid for the extra luxury. Upon arrival there was 1 bathrobe. No slippers or water and I was told at reception this is only available for Hilton hotel members. They gave us another bathrobe and 1 pair of slippers . This needs to be addressed on booking a website as I feel I paid for a service I did not receive. Would have booked a cheaper room if I had known .

Waterfront views, good breakfast options, decent sized room
I indicated that I’d leave my tab open for any spends we put on the room. I didnt realise that this would lead to another £100 being taken from my bank account at the point we checked in. I didn’t realise this until I checked my bank on checking out and the hotel had taken an additional £100 on top of the booking.com price. When I queried this they told me it’s standard practise when a tab is left open and that it would be taken off the amount in 7-10 working days. Because we didn’t actually put any spend on our room account this meant that they had our £100 for a total of 5 days before the price paid for our room was adjusted at our bank. And whilst it was corrected in a few days it still didn’t feel right or appropriate.
