I’m usually a hotel snob and go for a boutique type hotel but decided to try the Dolby to take advantage of the free parking and glad I did. You can leave your car parked up even before and after you check on and out. The hotel was conveniently located for the centre of Liverpool (10 min walk) the room and bathroom were a little on the snug side but were spotlessly clean and perfectly adequate, we also had a great view of the waterfront. Staff were really polite and helpful. Breakfast was great too. All in all we had a fantastic stay and would hesitate to stay again and to recommend.

This is our second visit to this hotel as we attend gigs at the Camp and Furnace venue which is a convenient 5 minute walk away. The rooms are clean, functional and comfortable, and great value for money. Ear plugs are provided for light sleepers but we have never needed to use them. Drinks facilities with kettle are in the room for a crafty cuppa, and free toiletries are provided in the bathroom pod which will be replenished by reception on request. Try and request a room overlooking the dockland rather than the unglamorous car park and main road, to make your stay that little nicer. Breakfast offers a piping hot cooked English breakfast selection, toast, cereal and tea, coffee, fruit and juices etc - something for everyone whatever their preference. All staff are friendly and professional and will go above and beyond to make your stay more enjoyable.

The bathroom pod is small but functional although the shower area and dreaded shower curtain would be a challenge for larger guests. One thing to watch out for is the lip that drops into the shower. It is easy to turn your ankle when stepping inside as it is quite near to the doorway which has a small step up to the inside. The wardrobe facility is a small rail with half a dozen hangers – ok for an overnight stay but may cause problems for guests who are staying longer.

The staff made us feel really welcome from the moment we arrived going above and beyond to ensure our stay was trouble-free, as I had booked each day separately they arranged it so that we could remain in the same room throughout our stay. The location was great with free parking, close to the city alongside a dock which meant we were able to walk into the city during the day and relax sitting by the dockside in the evening whilst watching the sun set.

Nothing as everything was catered for. Be aware that others may not like is the shower as it is compact and the hotel is set on a busy road. This did not prevent us from having a great stay as the noise didn't bother us,

Staff were excellent, friendly and informative, put balloons in bedroom for my for husbands bday. Pillows great and forgot to ask where they were from as want some at home. View of Queens wharf from bedroom was good and our bedroom was at end so only had other people 1 side which made it quiet.

The bathroom, it was so small, hard to have a shower without wetting floor, also it wet toilet seat, fortunatly we are both small so managed but for someone bigger it would be a nightmare having a shower. It has no lift so no good for people with mobility problems but they do have a few rooms on ground floor

Breakfast was ideal and all self service. Ideal location for walking into centre, sightseeing and great to have free parking for length of stay.

Nothing we didn’t like really. Yes the bathroom was small but it was fine, nothing to complain about.

The hotel is only ten minutes walk to the main dock with plenty of bars and restaurants.plenty of free parking which is great. But what makes this hotel one of our favourites is the amazing staff everyone from the bars staff to the cleaning staff and check in were very friendly. The rooms are very comfortable and big. The breakfast buffet was one of the best we have had in a hotel, we also loved have drinks in the bar and dinner was excellent and the prices were very reasonable.myself and wife are looking forward to return here again in the near future.

The room although small was immaculately clean and perfect for a short stay. What makes the Dolby so special though is its location and the attitude of all the staff we had contact with who go that extra mile to ensure your stay is as good as possible. A special shout out to Zaac and Evelyn who's customer service will ensure that not only will we use the Dolby on future visits to Liverpool we will recommend it to friends and family as well.

Just a very Minor point. Would love to be able to book a room with a Riverside view when booking rather than taking a chance on one being available on arrival.

Everything from the beginning to the end of my stay was fantastic. The staff were all very helpful, bar staff, cleaning, front of house / reception - everyone was friendly & accommodating. The place was super clean throughout. Yes, it's a budget place, but so much nicer than the other budget places out there that I've been to. Perfect location on the promenade for the Albert Dock, M&S arena,Kings Dock, Pier head, Ferry, L1, and the city centre. If you get a room with a view of the river, it looks so pretty at night, with the other side of the River Mersey all lit up. I definitely recommend the Dolby Hotel & and I will definitely be using it again & again, whenever I'm visiting my family / friends, concerts or for L1 shopping trips in my former home city of Liverpool! Competitively priced offering rooms at excellent rates, plus the FREE PARKING is an absolute Godsend 💯

There wasn't anything to not like about my stay.

It wasn't too far to walk from the train station. It was very clean and tidy. The staff were all lovely. We paid for breakfast with the booking and couldn't fault It. Well cooked, plenty of choice and you helped yourself. The bedroom was a twin but it was fine. Our room overlooked the dock. Sadly the weather was awful but it didn't spoil the experience. I would definitely use this hotel again and would recommend It to anyone

I had seen negative comments about the shower. But it was fine. Maybe a bit small but certainly not a problem. I had no issues with anything at all during our stay
