Location was SO convenient, especially for the price. The room was small but the bed was large and comfortable. Soap smelled great, kettle didn’t work when I got there but was fixed or replaced quickly once I asked about it, and the staff were all very sweet and helpful. It was easy to store my luggage for the afternoon after checkout, and it was all in all a great experience!
I didn’t get a “do not disturb” sign to hang on my door, and housekeeping came by around 8:45/9am the first two mornings, while I was pretty desperately jet-lagged. I imagine they would have given me a sign if I had asked, though, and I just shouted out to please come back later, and all was fine!

Asked for the iron and fan: these were brought to my room along with the ironing board in no time. Breakfast not worth 15GBP, there are plenty food options for every taste and dietary preference just around the corner.
Didn't want the staff to clean up the room while I was staying there, asked to just change the towels at the reception. Nothing happened. Had to find the room service cart and change the towels myself.

I am normally disappointed when I stay in London and when I read some reviews of the RNH I was expecting more of the same but it exceeded my expectations. It isn't a luxury hotel. There isn't a sauna in the basement or a rooftop swimming pool but my room (standard double) was spacious and clean, the bathroom was actually big enough that you had to step from the shower to the wash basin rather than having to shuffle around in a confined space.
The bathroom was so big that you can't use the toilet and brush your teeth at the same time. When I checked in I enquired about the breakfast but I decided that there are so many places around about that I wouldn't take it, at which point the receptionist gave me a wry smile and said "that's probably a wise decision". Therefore, I suspect that the breakfast is typical London hotel fare of burnt croissants and deep fried sausages; but that isn't a problem because there are so many places to choose from within 5 minutes of the hotel.

The hotel is in a fantastic location. Ten minute walk from Euston station, and a 2 min walk to the Russell Square tube station. Room was very clean and spacious. Staff are lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was delicious! Huge choice of foods, both cooked and continental breakfast. Breakfast room was always busy, but everything was kept topped up, even when going in towards the end. The reception area is spotless and very welcoming. There are 2 lovely resturants/bar areas within the hotel too. The hotel is very busy, but staff work hard to keep things ticking over.
There was no thermostat, so no way of adjusting the temperature in the room. The noise from the street outside was awful. Apparently, there are quieter rooms, but we didn't know to ask for one. We thought the window was open when we arrived due to how noisy it was. Trying to get a lift down to reception at check out time is impossible. We waited 25 minutes, then had to lift heavy cases down 3 flights of stairs.

The breakfast for the most part was good For me I felt the scrambled egg tasted bland and more selection of fresh fruit
I am not sure if this is something all the hotels in London do but when I booked Booking .com showed me the price in pounds and the price in US currency The exchange rate was about 1.27 plus or minus 0.005. Granted Booking did mention that the exchange could vary. The exchange rate has not really changed much it has been 1.27 plus or minus 0.005 I was booked the correct price quoted in pounds, by Royal National Hotel but they used a 1.347 currency exchange rate. All other business such as restaurants, museum, Tube etc. their digital currency exchange rate were all in the 1.27 plus or minus .005 range. So i am not happy with the additional cost incurred

Property was centrally located meaning we could easily walk to west end and King’s Cross / Euston also within easy walk of Russell Square Tube. We were able to check in early. Process was quick. Room was a twin and it was clean and modern. Lift luggage facility was also used on day we checked out and bags were stored carefully and were easily accessible at the end of the day.
The view was bad (this made no difference to us as it was just a place to lay our heads for a night). Breakfast wasn’t included in the rate and the on-site shop was astronomical. There was a Tesco and Pret very close by.

We had a lovely stay at the Royal National Hotel. Came back after visiting last year. The location of the hotel is just great: a short walk from King's Cross or a few minutes when taking the underground. The underground station is very nearby, but a lot of things are also within walking distance. The room was very clean. Staff in the hotel were, mostly, friendly. I would highly recommend staying here and I would also consider coming back next time.
The rooms have no airconditioning or thermometer to change temperature. That's something I do miss. The windows can only open a bit, so controlling the temperature in the room is not always easy. The TV is not moveable, so when laying in bed you can't easily watch TV. We also missed a little refrigerator in the room.

Weekend break to celebrate 21st birthday. Hotel was easy to find. Parking was plenty and cheap enough Rooms were very clean Beds were soft...good for me! Honoured the request for rooms to be close together Great location for all the major attractions at Christmas Staff were friendly and helpful Extra tea, coffee etc available on request
Hotel decor was a little dated Hallway carpets were torn Beds were too soft for the rest of the group Only 2 plug sockets in a triple room, a third would be better due to phone charging, hair dryers etc Only bright light was in the bathroom, which meant getting ready was also tricky as the main room was too dark.

Room was comfortable and location excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The shower arrangement was very uncomfortable with the bathroom floor prone to flood. There was no protective screen or mat so one felt in constant danger of slipping. One effect was that a lot of towels were used (although the room staff were very conscientious in ensuring that clean towels were always available on request). The reception area was usually very crowded but there were no area provided for guests to sit down and wait.

The room was small but comfy, the cleaning team was amazing it felt like you get a new room every day. The area around feels very safe at all times of the day. Walking distance from almost every big attraction. It has 24/7 tesco nearby by lots of coffee & food shops. Tube station just around the corner that will take you anywhere you want.
The building is a bit old, no AC that’s a bit challenging in the summer, you do get a fan but it isn’t the same on hot summer nights, the windows open just a tiny bit, so the room feels a bit stuffy the air doesn’t circles enough.
