Very beautiful location and our room was comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly Gemma, Eve and Lily.
There was no mini-fridge and microwave in the room and the food and service in the restaurant can be very inconsistent. I ordered grilled salmon for dinner, and when it arrived, it had a distinct odour indicating that it had gone off. I flagged this and requested a different meal which they accommodated. But it is worrying that the expired salmon got past both the cook and the server in the first place.

Particular thanks to Lachlan and Dawn who were exceptionally helpful and went above and beyond. Catering for my daughter with Coeliac with some of the other members of staff wasn't the best, however, Dawn made sure she had a freshly prepared meal. We stayed in a Summer House room which was right next to the hotel. Breakfast was also excellent.
Room cleanliness wasn't great and as there were a few of us staying at various locations in the hotel, this was a recurring theme as all of us commented on differing levels of cleanliness. The outside lighting is awful for when it's dark, we had to use torches on our phones to see where we were going, more lighting is needed, especially for safety when wallking from the main building to the suites at the very end of the road.

Staff very attentive, and tried all they could to resolve any issues. During the stay, Breakfast was great albeit the waiter forgot to check how eggs were preferred and if toast was required and needed prompting. He was apologetic after (only three tables in use at the time)
The room was very dusty and I could write my name in the dust on the bathroom shelves! I think the heating vent went through the corner of the room and this was very noisy caused problems when trying to sleep and kept me awake for hours. TV remote did not work at all, staff tried their best to resolve with new batteries but to no avail. Public areas such as the bar were very cold and draughty although the bedroom was hot with no thermostat to adjust, an open window in -3 deg not always the best solution when you have health problems.

Always enjoy our stay, lovely location, excellent breakfast, staff very friendly, rooms really cofy.
Door to Summer House 4 needs attention as very difficult to open and shut. One bedside lamp didn't work, plus was found on the floor, had to move the bed to get it out and plugged in.

Stunning views, beautiful surroundings.
Supposed to be reserved parking spaces for the rooms (numbered) but the privileged golfers just park in them if they like and no one does anything about it. Three times when we got back from being out (in two days) we couldn’t use our space. Oh, and they cut the grass right outside the bedroom window at 7.30am. Nice.

Clean, warm, very friendly welcome.
It was not made apparent when booking that all accommodation is not in the main building. I would not have booked if I had known this. As a lone female, I had to venture in the dark to seek out poorly lit, poorly signed accommodation across an estate. Not a comfortable experience. Shower also does not hade a directable head and just falls from a large square in the centre of the ceiling, not great if you do not plan to wash your hair. No shower caps are provided to combat this. Fortunately I carry one with me.

We booked to stay in one of the summer houses with river views. The room was exceptional. Really spacious, with plenty of storage space, a very comfortable bed and great bathroom. The view was great, with windows spanning 180 degrees also letting in plenty of light. We had a huge shared terraced area with chairs and patio tables which also had views down to the river. We also had allocated parking for the summer house, which made life easy when packing and unpacking. The terraced area outside the restaurant was also very nice, with views down to the driving range and river. We had a really nice lunch there with our friends.
The small issue I had was with the bar and restaurant staff in the evening when we had dinner. They were all friendly enough, but all seemed very young and inexperienced. There were four members of staff waiting tables, serving drinks and taking orders but there didn’t seem to be any cohesion between them. If you wanted a drink it took an age for anyone to even acknowledge your presence at the bar. The food was good when it came, but it took a long time to arrive. I think they just needed a more experienced manager to organise them a little more.

A beautiful old house with lots of history, set in the most beautiful grounds. It felt like we´d stepped back in time or were on the set of a period drama. Everything was very clean and comfortable and we appreciated having an iron and ironing board in the room. It was quite chilly and a maid brought us a plug in heater, which really helped. The staff were super friendly and a lovely young Brazilian man in the breakfast room brought us hot water with lemon and honey to help with our awful coughs.
The twin beds were very comfortable (I slept really well) but too narrow. We were worried that we would fall off, so ended up pushing them together (mother and son). Going for a walk around the beautiful grounds meant having to navigate the golf course, which didn´t go down very well with some of the female (they were not ladies!) golfers, who were rather rude and told very bluntly that we shouldn´t be walking on the path (it would have taken 2 minutes for us to walk by). This was not the hotel´s fault, but I do think that it would be good to have better guidance on where one can walk in future.

Amazing room overlooking the grounds. Fabulous location. Best place ever stayed. Dinner the night before was amazing. Great food and service. Went above and beyond for us. Room was immaculately clean. Guy on desk. Very helpful on arrival.
The only small issue we had was the young man at breakfast. Coffee and tea was not topped up. He wasn’t on top of it. He didnt explain when we arrived what to do ie hot breakfast under closhes and it wasn’t obvious. There was no tea available and we asked for new cups as he handles them by putting his hands around the rim. He also done the same again with the new ones. It’s the small things guys!

Location was great for work. The reception staff were extremely efficient, helpful and friendly. The grounds looked stunning and I would have liked to have gone for a walk had it not been pouring down on both evenings Room service menu not over priced compared to some places.
My room was above the bar. After 11.30pm there was late night noise when they were shutting up, from noisy staff as well as them dragging chairs and closing the shutters. I think by putting I was travelling for work they thought I was a contractor because the corridor my room was on had several very loud residents, who just after closing time were banging on each other's doors and talking extremely loudly in the corridors. I ordered a roast veg pizza for tea, in my room, the chef may have been thinking they were being generous with all the mozzarella on it but it was actually an inch thick in places and the veg, onions and peppers were pretty much raw as the entire topping was undercooked. I could only eat a couple of slices (and I'm a full pizza kind a person).
