Easy access, good parking, friendly staff, cafe on site plus breakfast is available in the main dining area if you want to buy. Ideal for a family group. Rooms have beds only, but very comfortable and with pillow and duvet. Plenty to do in the area around and near enough to walk to shops, pubs and cafes if you want. Good value for money and everything you need in the self catering area with fridges and cooking gear.

Very minor but not sure how cooking works if large numbers want to do at the same time, but it's not really a big issue.

We loved it there! It exceeded our expectations. Very clean. Staff lovely. Surroundings amazing. Great price.

The only downer was trying to use the kitchen and the strong smell of excrement coming from the bin. We realised that there was a baby around and the parents were throwing the nappies in the kitchen bin. Please put up some signs to stop people from doing this!

Great location by the train station and start of the granite way. And great café options nearby.

Our August stay on the top floor was a bit hot for sleeping. Could have done with being able to open the window more.

Easy to book, good value for money. Used as stop over for Cornish break. Friendly staff. Games room ideal for teenagers. Also lounge room to watch tv/rest. Enjoyed a game of Cluedo! Plenty of shower rooms. Breakfast was delicious with plenty to choose from. Would stay again.

The location for the start of walks and getting to the hostel via the train was perfect. Kitchen facilities were great.

The beds were the smallest beds I had ever been in! Seemed child-sized. The room was pretty compact too.

Staff where super friendly, helpful & warm. A real community feel to the hostel which is perfect for us.

One improvement good be a small shelf for top bunks, that would be sooooooo helpful.

The hostel is in a great location the rooms are clean and there is a playroom and lounge which is a nice touch for the stay.

The beds were comfortable but the duvets were really hot we all woke up sweaty There is a great kitchen with all cooking facilities however as there were many guests due to long bank holiday there was no space in the fridge for our food when we arrived but it sorted out at the end. All in all - all good !

The rooms were cosy and great value for money. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The games room and kitchen area were very spacious.

The windows needed to open a little bit more. The shower could have been hotter.

Very clean room, good price. Good value breakfast. Drying room for hikers and bikers caught out in the weather.

I would have been willing to pay to do laundry, but washing facilities were not available.
